The ladies at the bar in the back were excellent. Very friendly and promt and the food was delicious
The beef was cut too thick and a little too rare. Using the bar as a serving platform was too high. 4 of the 6 people in our party were 5ft 2 and under . A 62 year old should not have to stand on her toes to serve herself and will not again!
We took the entire family to the Easter Brunch. A little pricey but we enjoyed the food and like the atmosphere.
The Easter brunch was excellent. The food and service were very good. I would recommend it to others considering a family holiday meal.
1st time and it was ok. Nice location and ambience but the food was mediocre. My hubby has the steak and asked for medium rare, it came out well done and tough. I had a burger which was good but more on the warm side than hot with Gorgonzola chips that were a little hard for my taste. Son had the chicken parm which he said was good with fries over cooked. So not bad enough that I wouldn’t return but would hope the food would be better next time. The waitress was attentive and friendly.
Great place to get together to watch our team! Service is great, food is great - staff is so accommodating. We love going to McCray's!
Service was great! Food was timely and as expected for a Tavern. No concerns at all on this visit. Recommended!
We love McCray’s for watching Oklahoma State sporting events. The service, food and atmosphere is great!
always good; they have been good with updating the menu with some great items, while keeping the favorites! and, it really is a great deal!
My wife and I arrived at McCray's Tavern and were seated promptly. The server arrived soon after and asked about drink orders. I inquired about their selections of beer and he was quite helpful even providing a sample to assist me in my decision. They have quite a selection of kraft beers and I enjoyed a Founders Breakfast Stout. For dinner I had my usual standby of Fish and Chips and my wife had the Matador burger. The fish was tasty and the portion adequate. Nothing really special. The "chips"were quite good and I shared some with my wife. My wife's burger was a bit overdone (She had ordered it medium well and it was a bit too well). She said she would order her burger medium the next time. No worries though she still enjoyed it and the accompanying onion rings. Overall a pleasant pub evening out. The server was attentive and friendly, the beer was great and the food was o.k. We will likely return as it is close to home and reasonably priced for a night out.
We would have liked a better table, especially since I used open table for a “reservation” with a note that it was for my husband’s birthday. They sat us in a 2-person table beside one of the garage doors in the “other” room that didn’t seem as nice as the front room and they definitely had a lot of open tables. Good food and okay service but we’ll go somewhere else next time.
Great pub food. The special was awesome as good as any highbrow place. Shrimp, mashed pitatoes with asparagus.Yum
It was a celebration of my niece’s book launching after her event. Everything was perfect and Maejor was the best!!!!! Thank you!
The Tuna appitiser was off par. The chicken parmagon, rib eye, chicken salad sandwich, BLT, and hamburger meals were excellent. The 50 draft beers selection is very nice. Our first visit and we will return.
I combined the chicken parm with the Vodka pasta...excellent! The others had the special of 6 oz filet with shrimp and loved it.
always a good meal, good service, tons of exotic beers on tap! good for lunch, dinner & brunch (great bloody mary bar)! they have specials every day & live music some evenings!
The shrimp and avacado salad was delicious but very small based on the price of 15.00. Literally it was the size of a side salad. Citrus vinegarette dressing was perfect for the salad. Atmosphere and service was great during our lunch.
Good for large and small group lunch/dinner
Lots of options. Service can be little faster.
extensive beer list
Buffalo egg rolls are to die for
Aubrie was rude af. She was so testy to leave she pressured us to pay numerous times before we were even ready. The few times she came to check up on us she was asking if were staying for another round. Very unprofessional. Food was mediocre which was such a surprise. The food is normally amazing but my buffalo rolls were burnt and the loaded chips were stale.
I love the buffalo egg rolls
We used open table to find something. My local ATL friend said, um that area isn't all that cool. So I said, but they have local draft beer on tap, let's give it a try. So we did, and it was great! Good beer selection, good food, and great service! Who knew how close it was and is a great choice!
Good food, great service. We always ask for Tony's section. Fantastic service!!!!!
Great brunch with family. Lemon Ricotta pancakes were very good. The sauce was excellent with the pancakes. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Atmosphere was very casual. Waitstaff extremely friendly and continually checked to see if we needed anything. We will definitely return.
the service excellent as they were very attentive. we enjoyed the blackened chicken roll appetizers, very tasty. we also enjoyed the fish and chips. a good portion. we will return to this restaurant and bar
Super burgers and gorgonzola chips! Always a great beer selection and super service
Sad to say this place has slowly gone down over time. We've been going here off an on since they opened and keep going back to give them another try but this last time was it. First, the food started going down and/or being inconsistent. Appetizers would come out not fully heated (spinach dip, nachos, etc.). Then food was just plain slow to be delivered. But service was still good so have continued to visit. But last few visits, service has been slow or non-existent. This visit, only a few tables were occupied and 3-4 servers were always hanging out at the kitchen pass but could never find our server or get help. This will be our last visit until we hear things have gotten better.
Great service from Dallen. Salmon was excellent! Husband had pork chop...was a little more done than expected but good flavor. Happy Tropicalia was on tap!
Had a great dinner at McCray's Tavern. We went to get a good hamburger and that's what we got! The food was delicious. We sat in the bar - which was a fun atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the service was good. It was too hot to sit outside, hopefully next time we can sit in the patio (which is dog friendly). I would have liked a cold mug to go with my beer - that's about my only negative comment.
Even though the reservation was booked a week in advance, it took over an hour for our food to arrive (11 people in our party.) 10 of us (finally) received our food while 1 had to wait another 10 minutes on his entree. Almost no server attention for drink refills during our hour wait on the food. They appeared to be short-staffed on server staff.
We have enjoyed the bar staff so much that we have never gotten a table. Every bartender who has served us has made outstanding drinks. We typically only order appetizers and intend to go back for a real meal within the next few weeks. The staff is polite and the drinks are good. I hope to offer more robust details on the food the next time we stop in.
McCray's Tavern is a very nice outdoor lunch/dinner restaurant. Large and varied menu both food and drinks.
Great meal...great service and the musician was a nice touch
This was a family lunch after my daughter's high school graduation. The salmon salad, which is typically my fav dish, was marginal. Two people in our party ordered it and both felt like it was greasy. Also, the homemade potato chips had way too much blue cheese on top. However, the biggest issue was service and delay in receiving our food. Not my typical experience, so very disappointed since family was here.
We have gone here for 4 years for mother's day brunch. Last year we were given seats in the bar area. Worst seats in the house. They gave us the same seats again. Horrible. They didn't want to move us until the manager got involved. My wife loves the grits. They were so so. Something had changed. They might of had $20 total in the desert table. Bread pudding with no flavor, Kroger yogurt and fruit, and cookies from a box. No chocolate at all. Plenty of potatoes, pasta and macaroni. Chicken fingers from the freezer. It just seemed cheap and 2nd rate. We will change next year
Our first visit was brief since we had a scheduled event. We found this gem through Open Table as we were driving and we pleasantly surprised at the location and the experience. My husband and I sat at the bar and were warmly greeted by the staff. Our drinks were made quickly and the appetizer we ordered was very good. They have an awesome selection of beer, many on tap. We will go back in the near future for a real dinner and maybe sit outside to see more of this lovely location. I will be able to offer a more detailed review of the food at that time. This would be a great spot to visit more than once.
Super mahi tacos and the Gorgonzola chips are my favorite. Service was great, beer selection was plentiful and ambiance was laid back.
One of our several times a year for special occasion as well as just for dinner, this being Easter. We really enjoy the buffet and as usual we were not disappointed and eat too much as usual.
