The service was tremendous and the food was delicious. Everyone was upbeat and positive.
Great as always!
Always a good experience here, they have a good mixed menu (executed well), good service, and great price point$
Waitress was horrid
My wife and I went to McCray's for Valentines Day. It was crowded but we were seated promptly. After that the service started to go south. The server could not answer any question about the craft beer menu. She just told us to look it over and she would be back. When she returned she took our order for two Sam's Winter Warmers and an order of Tavern Chips. The world was good. In short order she returned with the wrong drink and the wrong appetizer. She seemed confused even after we pointed out that we had ordered something entirely different. Ah well. New maybe. Mistakes happen. Another server brought the Tavern Chips and we dug in. A good portion of chips, cheese, bacon bits, and onion. Delicious. Unfortunately we had no beer to wash down this treat and had finished about half when the server finally arrived with our brews. Well, it was busy on Valentines. We ordered our meal. Both of us had the Matador, a burger with jalapeno peppers, bacon jam, cheese, and bbq sauce. The burgers got there in a reasonable amount of time and as usual they were delicious. Spicy, sweet, and filling. I ordered another beer when they came to help wash it down. Unfortunately that beer never arrived. The server failed to put in the order and didn't even seem to realize it. Thank goodness there was water at the table. Having finished our burgers the server came by and started cleaning up and told us she was bringing the check. Never asked about our experience or if we wanted anything else. Just, "I'll bring the check." Throughout the meal we both felt the service alternated between being ignored or being rushed to get out. I've had better service experiences at a McDonald's drive through. That said, the food was consistently good and the two beers we were served were tasty as well. I might be back. Might not. I can't recommend McCray's based on the service but the food is good so if you want to try it I would suggest going on a slow weeknight.
It was nice
Thank you so much!
The restaurant overall is fine, great location, ambience, service and price to value, however the food was not as good as I hoped. We had the fish and chips and the grouper sandwiches.
Food was great, fresh, very tasty. Service was good as well.
Food not great.
They changed the way they oreoste
Great food. Awesome service. Love visiting with friends and/or my children.
Have been to other locations for dinner before - this was my first brunch and it was fantastic! Would definitely recommend!
It was ok. The food some was good some was awful.
The weather was great for outdoor seating. The waiter was attentive and the food was great. We didn’t feel rushed to leave once we were finished with dinner.
Great food. Excellent wait staff. Very enjoyable
The waiter was slow. Have to wait too long for check, carry outs and plates.
Entertained co-workers. Was able to chat without shouting at each other. Staff were wonderful, food was great.
One of family favorite spots for Friday night and Sunday lunch.
Service and food coming out was much slower than normal. Our appetizers came out with our dinner. Drinks were slow to be refilled. Not the typical experience I have there so thinking they must have been short staffed.
I specifically ask for Tonya section table top in front area. I got noisy crowded dinner section. Waitress was not happy not sure why was too delayed on the check in but probably over extended.
This was my first time at McCray’s Tavern. It was great food, good service and relaxed ambiance. I don’t live in the area but after eating here I wish I did so we could go back.
Great place to gather with a group of friends. The staff is friendly and the food is good, especially the Gorgonzola chips!
They had everything ready for us when I arrived. I was very pleased with the ease of setting everything up.
Tony V. Is the best server! He makes the experience all that much better. Food is always consistently delicious no matter what we order, and really nice presentation for the price category. We are regulars here for many reasons.
My Family LOVES McCray's!! Brunch, lunch and dinner have all been great! And soooo convenient to get to from southwest Atlanta!!
Beer, wings & nachos were great. Good sports bar vibe with many TVs. Service was slow and inattentive although the restaurant wasn’t overly busy. We will go back but be sure to ask for a different waiter.
Great brunch! Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The Bloody Mary bar is quite awesome.
We went for Mother's Day brunch and made a last-minute reservation. Only available time was 2:45 and they stopped serving at 3pm. While most food options were still available, they did run out of a few items and other items were lukewarm instead of hot. This is typical of a brunch if your reservation is towards the end of the day. But overall it was a nice experience and the staff was very friendly.
Service was exceptional! We arrived early and were seated early.
Our family really enjoyed the Mother's Day brunch. The food was tasty & plentiful & the service was good.
Tried the Mother's Day Brunch and it was amazing. They catered to all palates and dietary restrictions. They had chicken breakfast sausage which was very delicious. Just a sample was, chicken tenders, mahi nahi, mac and cheese, vegetables, bacon, eggs, shrimp and grits, smoked salmon with capers, onions and warm bagels, fruit, etc. I thought they did an excellent job on the menu. Now I will try it for a regular brunch soon.
Server was slow and only came around one time durning lunch. I had an empty glass of beer in front of my for 15 minutes before she came back around.
It was good
Easter brunch was wonderful!
I went to Sunday Brunch with a friend and used open table to reserve a table. We arrived early but our table was ready. The buffet was amazing: fresh fruit, and salads,a carving station with prime rib and ham. All of the food was fresh and replenished regularly . The eggs, sausage, grits , etc tasted amazing and if course delicious desserts. Great price for the brunch. We will definitely be back!
Mccray’s has become our family brunch spot for special occasion. The food is excellent and priced just right! Be sure to make your reservations for the special occasion brunches as availability is limited.
I eat at McCra;y's Tavern at least once a month with my husband, daughter and son-in-law and their 2 daughters. We love the food and service. We also enjoy that we can make reservations for Easter and Mother's day for the buffet. There's something for everyone.
Food was yummy and there was great variety!
We attended the Easter brunch buffet. The prime rib was hardly cooked (rare throughout, not even medium rare? and was not sliced correctly. The mahi mahi was very salty and dry. I got the last 2 shrimp out of the shrimp and grits and they did not put any more out while we were there. The salads, chicken salad croissants, and chicken tenders were tasty, but not worth $30 to eat chicken tenders.
best bloody mary made by bartender. roast looked awesome but was chewy at easter brunch.
