Typical bar food. Was prepared as ordered and served hot. Server was attentive without hovering. Menu has changed a bit, but prices seemed a bit high for what was ordered.
We went for thanksgiving dinner. The food was exceptional and we paid less than if we ate at home. The only downside, as is typical with premium times, is the service was slow.
Not as expected!
Wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and perfect location right in the square in downtown Lawerencville to enjoy the tree lighting and festivities afterward.
Went for Thanksgiving and it was so good!!! Lots of choices and everything yummy and fresh!
This was a great meal for Thanksgiving the whole family loved it! We will be back!
Great as always . Thanksgiving buffet was delicious. Will return for this next year
Thanksgiving menu was surprisingly good, shrimp was great, buffet was set up nice, easy to get to, turkey was tender, good variety, cheese was exceptional. Thanks, will return !!
I'm a regular here and can always count on McCray's to be efficient, friendly and provide good food and drinks....The addition of the booths along the wall in the bar make for a very cozy atmosphere, and the dim lighting is something my friends and I LOVE....
So very disappointed in our visit. We normally LOVE eating here. Our oldest daughter is a student at Auburn and she and 4 friends were in town briefly before heading to Athens for a fb game so we took them to dinner along with our youngest daughter . Our waitress was sweet. The issue was the food. Took FOREVER to arrive and almost each order was wrong in some way but so to how long it took none of us wanted to say anything as the girls had to get going. My Taverndip was like rubber. Huge pieces of fat on it. Gross. Youngest daughter ordered salmon club and was given turkey. Everyone's fries were ice cold. The avocado on some of the girls sandwiches were dark brown. Just an awdful meal and expensive as it was for 8. Won't go back
The food was delicious and amazing.
Always enjoy going we dont go there enough. We love the food and sitting outside also
Good food, nice music. Great beer menu on tap
Good for client meetings and a gathering place. Good food and friendly people.
Really enjoyed our first — but definitely not last — visit to McCrays. Gorgeous fall evening, so we sat on the rooftop patio with a wonderful view of lovely downtown Lawrenceville. Met friends there for pre-Aurora drinks and dinner, and enjoyed the food, beverages, ambience and warm, efficient service. Wish we had a rooftop place like McCrays in downtown Roswell, where we live. Will definitely return. Highly recommend!
Our service, our waitress was outstanding! She was perfect, great personality, helpful and all around friendly!
Typical bar foods, good service, and close to theater.
Very good food and service...Our server was efficient and thoughtful as well.
We enjoyed it. Service was excellent and food was good. Fair priced as well.
We were a group of 12 with reservations, one of our group received her food 25 minutes after the rest of us. As a close knit group we all split our food and attempted to share, McCrays should have taken care of that. Everything else was fine.
Delicious food and awesome waiter (Nicholas). He took great care of our group.
One of my regular places to meet with friends for a dinner or celebrating. The location right on the square is great. A fun casual atmosphere, with great service and good food. A decent amount of vegetarian options.
Great service and great atmosphere. One of my favorite restaraunts on the square!
We made reservations to avoid the wait, and our table was ready within minutes. Our service was prompt, the staff was accommodating and our meal enjoyable.
Great server and excellent service....Food was delicious!
The food was excellent. I think they were a little short staffed because our waiter was in a hurry
This is a really nice place for a date or grabbing food and drinks with friends. The decor is simple, and the food is really well done. We plan to go back again when the weather cools off to utilize the roof seating.
McRay's is a good place for groups. We typically have 6-10. They take reservations which is unusual for this type of restaurant. They have a good selection of beers.
The service is usually good. Enough attention without being annoying. I enjoy the paninis but have had burgers, nachos and wings-all good. Pasta salad is my favorite side.
Great food! My husband enjoyed the beer selection.
We went for brunch today (7.8.18) when the restaurant opened and were greeted by a friendly hostess. Our party of 4 enjoyed our meals. The kitchen manager greeted our table and offered his assistance if needed. There was a snafu with an omelet but it was immediately rectified and the server was very attentive. As we headed out the door, the hostess wished us well and continued to be very pleasant. We'd definitely go back!
Food was great .. everyone got something different and everyone loved what they had.
We have eaten at McCrayy’s several times and food was always good but his time Tavern dip was very fatty and the au jus was spilled all over my fries. Waitress did get me more au jus but never bothered to get me new fries. My husbands hamburger was good but asparagus was awful. Will be w while before we go back.
The fish and chips didn’t do it for me this time...too much batter. But my wife and son thoroughly enjoyed their ribs and buffalo chicken panini. And the skillet brownie with vanilla ice cream was a delicious shareable dessert for all of us! We’ll be back to try more.
They were out of just about everything but didn’t bother to tell until we tried to order. They were out of cod, grouper and salmon. Waitress would disappear for 15-20 minutes at a time....had to keep asking for drink refills. We ended up ordering food we did not want and that tasted like cardboard.
If you are thinking about this establishment....do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
First, the brunch comes with a mandatory 20% gratuity. This was not told to us up front. I was disappointed in the quality of the food and the service. There was not a lot of variety and the hot dishes we like warm at best. The dessert selection was disappointing as well. Our server allowed finished plates to pile up on the table. Needless to say, I will not go back for brunch again.
We had a great time. Waitress was wonderful.
I went here with my Son and his family. The food was great, had a wonderful craft beer and all of us really enjoyed ourselves. Special shout out to our waitress who was wonderful!
Great Place for a Birthday Dinner- everything was perfect...making a reservation ahead of time, was great, because we just walked in and sat down. ....just perfect meal, service and beer!
Our waiter, Alex, was horrible. The rooftop was fun, but the service was terrible.
