The food was ok. My mojito wasn’t good. Burger was good, fish and chips were soggy. My salad was ok. I’ll try local republic next time. W we were on the patio and that food looked really good.
I would go again the food was good. They were short on staff.
Birthday. They are way under staffed so be ready to wait to order and get food. Great place to hang with friends.
Beautiful dinner with family on the top deck! Shrimp and grits was very tasty!
We're so happy to hear about your great experience with us here at McCray's! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and leave a review. We hope to see you again soon!
Food was terrific! Kudos to the folks working front and back...you all hit it out of the park! Thanks for a lively complement to a lovely Mother’s Day. We’ll be back!
I haven't been here in 15 years! Food was fresh and presented well. Good value. A Lawrenceville staple
Well paced and well presented. We had a nice time. We had hoped to dine on the roof top but it was raining. Service was surprisingly very good.
Keith was amazing! Choices of food were low, but food was amazing!
We enjoyed our Easter brunch at McCrays! Every dish was delicious. We loved our view from the rooftop, too!
Easter brunch great service food was great
We came to celebrate a friend’s retirement. We reserved a table in advance We were seated quickly when we arrived The food was very good In my opinion the background music is always a bit too loud which makes it hard to have a conversation at the table.
It was also brunch time and they ran out of cream. I would think with a supermarket less than a mile away the restaurant could be better prepared to have basics on hand. Service is also generally slow. Don’t expect to have your meal when you are in a group in less than two hours
The servers are always very pleasant.
We had a reservation at and ordered by 7 amd they were out of the 2 main Irish dishes!!
It’s great getting out and being with people though!! Great crowd and very respectful
Service wasn’t that good. We had to get the hostess attention to locate our server since we’ve been waiting over 10min to get noticed. Please note that we arrived at 5pm and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all.
Anyways, cool restaurant and we might be back.
Great food and service. Table was ready when we arrived.
Food and Bloody Mary and atmosphere was GREAT!!! Really enjoyed!
We're so glad to hear about your experience dining with us, Ebony! Thanks for stopping by to show your support. We hope to see you again soon!
The food was cold and terrible. It gave us both a stomach ache.
We went on Valentine’s day and had a reservation. We were in a separate room away from all the noise at a nice table with a tablecloth, a rose, and a candle. There were only a few other couples in there and it stayed fairly quiet.
The service was excellent. The food was very good. We had a group of 8 people and were well attended.
Nice atmosphere. Great Maple butter with Giant Pretzel. Burgers done right
I incorrectly assumed that if I could make an Open Table reservation, the restaurant would be following COVID protocols. We ate on a Friday night. They sat every SINGLE table in the room. Tables so close that the back of your chair practically touches the back of another chair. Servers with masks below their noses. We should have left - that is on us. But the place was empty when we ordered. And it took a LONG time for the food to come out. My parents burgers were so overdone they were hard as rocks. We loved this place pre-COVID but their need to place profit over safety really upsets me so we may never be back. Noticed other reviews on other social media sites saying they 'follow protocols' but those HAVE to be fake. Wish I had taken images.
The food was really good! The service was great! We feel a little bit rushed by the waitress but we understand that the place were busy and a lot people were waiting still. I'm glad we made reservations. Overall we will go back!
Loved that we could make a reservation..loved our server he went the extra mile
Food was delicious! Server was on point! Overall great experience.
It was good. I wish they had more outdoor heaters (really not sure if they had any.) We sat outdoors by the TV. The server and experience wasn’t memorable, but it wasn’t bad. The food was ok. I think I ate chilli and fries. Decent for the price. I’ve eaten there several times. I didn’t feel particularly safe. Many customers who were not eating, didn’t have on masks, even in the enclosed downstairs area. I’ll be back for the atmosphere in the summer when it’s safer.
Great shrimp and grits and shrimp pasta dish!! Great service, atmosphere etc.
So glad our team was able to offer you an outstanding experience and we do look forward to welcoming you back again soon! Thank you!
Great server. He was around enough to see that we had what we needed but not so much that we were interrupted.
We're so glad to hear about your experience dining with us! Thanks for stopping by to show your support.
Great rooftop bar to watch the sunset
Can't go wrong if u order wings or burgers...
Enjoyed with our family, everything was great! The trout special was delicious!
So glad to hear it, Jeff Thanks for showing your support!
Considering the current number of Covid-19 cases in Gwinnett County, I was surprised to see the number of servers not wearing their face mask correctly. This made us uncomfortable and chose to take our dessert home. The desserts were terrible...basically burnt bread pudding for three people. Each order was a waste of money on dessert!
We enjoyed our dinner on the patio. Glad to have a place to dine outside!
Our group, the Libertarian party of Gwinnett county, always enjoy coming to McCray's.
Other than the music being a little too loud, and bingo night, The ambiance is great and so is the entire staff.
We ordered a hamburger well done and it was almost raw. We ordered a steak medium and it was cooked very well done. We also ordered shrimp and grits and it was awful, very bitter. Tasted like someone had poured alcohol on it just before serving it. The food took a long time to come and since we were going to my grandson’s baseball game we were unable to send it back. Have eaten at McCrays many times before and it has always been great. I think the chef switched the orders as to how to cook the hamburger and steak.
The food was okay, but we waited 45 minutes in a nearly empty dining room before it came out, it was slightly cooled, like it had been forgotten to bring out to us. We were at the restaurant for almost two hours. We eventually had to get up from our table, to find our waitress just to get our check and pay because we had a painting class around the corner and we were running late. I made the reservation for 12:30 pm thinking an hour and a half would be plenty time to get to our class at 2, but we were still late. Our waitress was extremely slow and forgetful of things we asked for to accompany our meals. Overall, I was pretty underwhelmed and won't be back.
Food was fantastic! Great beer selection including locals and many of their own cocktails and specials. Great for a quick bite or to hang out.
When we arrived, we were told that McCrays no longer uses Open Table and that it would be a 2 hour wait.
Great Sunday brunch menu and loved the mimosa bar!
Happy to hear it, Mark! We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
My husband and I went for brunch and the mimosa/Bloody Mary bar. The champagne for our mimosas was flat. Staff had trouble answering questions about gluten free options. My husband’s order was incorrect. (The waitress read back the order, we corrected it but it still came out wrong.) Food was okay. In the end we wish we would have stayed home and done brunch ourselves.
We were in Lawrenceville to see a play and stopped here for brunch. The staff were pleasant and did a good job. The food wasn't good. My husband got a Reuben that looked okay, but the balance of meat to sauerkraut to sauce was off. One side of the sandwich had practically no sauerkraut. The fries that came with the sandwich were limp. I got chicken and waffles, which came as a sandwich, but I ordered it deconstructed. I got two small chicken tenders, each about two inches long and 4 small soft waffles. No crispness to the waffles. Blah food.
It was a great experience! The service and food were awesome..
