Very average very bland fare. Service was meh. The pacing was awful, too.
We sat outside, which was dumb and we were given the option to sit indoors. We had to switch to indoor or we'd be sweating into our food. This does not in any way impact the rating or review. That was our mistake and the staff was super accomodating getting us switched to an indoor table.
Our experience starts out shortly after being sat the waiter got our drink order. It took him awhile to bring drinks out and then wanted to take the entire order all at once. This is a red flag for pacing, imo.
Our appetizers came out fresh and hot. The 3 pretzels were standard pub breadstick shaped pretzels. The beer mustard was very mild, but also not very special and the cheese sauce was a standard cheddar sauce.
The fried zucchini was also very fresh and hot. The drizzled honey was a nice touch, but made the coating stick to things and slide right off the zucchini. The dipping sauce was also a good touch, but I couldn't tell you what it was. This was easily the best thing we ordered, unfortunately.
As stated, the pacing was awful. We were halfway through eating our apps when our entrees came out. My Gf had a ceasar salad and I had the smokehouse sandwich.
My GF said her salad was flavorless and any type of seasoning would be more than welcome.
My sandwich included special beer battered fries. It would absolutely shock me if those fries are not standard run of the mill frozen fries. Reminded me heavily of ore ida freezer aisle nonsense.
The smokehouse sandwich was, you guessed it, kinda bland. With all the ingredients this could have been a homerun, but it was kinda depressing. The onions were tough(?), kinda hard to bite through. The brisket was there, but you'd never know. The sandwich eats like a slighty above average ham and cheese sandwich with a very famous and smokey tasting bbq sauce on it.
The meal as a whole was not great. Major overhauls would be needed to bring me back.
Went here for our weekly outing and enjoyed it! Remember going here a few times before and appreciate the great service and delicious food.
Service was okay for most of the meal but slow at other times. Appetizer was not great and a very poor value. The rest of the meal was decent.
We moved inside due to impending rain. Bar area was spaced out for Covid so we felt good about that. All 4 of us ordered different entrees and they were all great. Service was good. Glad we decided to try McCoys!
Mac and cheese was cheesy!!! Salad was very good. We go several times a year.
Great outdoor and indoor seating! I love this place!
Good service, good food, nice outdoor seating, would go again for sure
Wow! that burrata avocado toast was delicious! A little spendy at $13 but it was really good. Skip the fries, the oil used was old and tasted fishy. My mom had the chicken curry bowl and said her food was delicious as well.
Patio was beautiful and very peaceful! Our server was awesome.
Horrible experience. We understood that there was a “time limit” during this whole Covid thing being 90 minutes, however, the server kicked us out at 40 minutes of us being there. He didn’t even ask us if we wanted another drink even tho we had only ONE. We were looking to spend more money and we only had a couple of appetizers and one drink each between two people. The manager was backing up their server and wouldn’t even take into consideration of our frustration. We don’t complain, however, this was an awful experience and we plan to never come back.
mccoy’s is always great. had a delicious dinner on the patio
McCoy's has great food and service!
Like this restaurant glad to see them open. Great service, staff efficient, great good
One of our "go to" places before the pandemic. Great to be back. A bit quiet with the reduced numbers.
we ate outside on the patio. it was perfect!
Amazing food and service! The fried zucchini fries are delicious!
This was our first place to eat since reopening and everything went amazing! Did awesome with the social distance setting and ordering..
Great meal. Excellent service.
Good to see our server and the friendly staff at McCoys, food was excellent and great selection of tap beer.
We sat out on the patio and it was lovely!! Our first dining experience out since everything has been closed and the service and food were outstanding. Everyone was cognizant of social distance and very clean
Always love the neighborhood hangout! All things considered, they did a great job after just opening up.
McCoy’s did a great job all around tonight. It is clear they have spent a lot of time and effort to keep customers and staff safe during this initial phase of reopening.
We had a wonderful time and will return often.
Good food. Decent beer and drink list. In a nice area, with a good patio.
Love Burger Monday!
A little expensive for what we had, especially at the bar. They had old happy hour flyers with items that weren't available.
Really great casual dining. Great bar scene. Good prices. And great food.
Nice spot to in a busy area to sit down and enjoy some good food and get good service! Had a turkey burger and fries. Both were very good!
McCoys is one of our go to’s. Food and beverages are always good and typically the service is generally good as well. Unfortunately, last Saturday night the service was absolutely disastrous. The young waiter that evening repeatedly messed up from the beginning of the order, throughout the meal and ultimately failed to deliver the right two checks for the two couples that each had their own groupon. We were overcharged for substitutions that were never substituted. He mixed up the food and drinks and then never took responsibility. Yes the food was good but the service was beyond disappointing.
Food was good, the service was good but very slow.
There were 6 of us and we ordered several appetizers and drinks. We ordered the pub pretzels, cheese curds and the zucchini fries. The later were extremely greasy...they left puddles of oil on my plate. Even though they were fried, they quickly became soggy and I found them to be tasteless and inedible. It was the only appetizer we devour. The other appetizers were excellent.
The food and service were very good. It's a casual atmosphere with a menu offering a wide variety of food choices from sandwiches to a nice dinner. I would go back and recommend McCoy's to others.
Monday burger day is a great deal and their turkey burger is delicious.
Great up until trivia started. We were in the restaurant but were still overwhelmed by the bar noise.
Service was very slow last night. Took 8 minutes to get seated because there was no one at the front desk.
Service was slow on a Sunday afternoon, during vikings game. The restaurant portion was not packed. Food was very expensive based on quality and quantity. Much older crowd.
Our food was great, veggie burger, Mac and cheese, pretzel, fish and chips! All hit the spot!
Chelsea our server was friendly and attentive!
I brought my children for lunch. Everyone enjoyed their food except for one of my boys who only took one bite of his grilled cheese. The server offered to take it off and then she never did. The rest of the food was very good!
We normally like McCoys but it was not their best night. It took over 30 minutes to get a beer and a wine flight. Over an hour and 15 minutes later our food came out. They apologized and said they had a big party in the back but it was kind of ridiculous for a Thursday. I assume by the size of the party they knew it was coming. Plus, our food was only ok as I assume it was poorly timed with the big group.
My filet was great! McCoy’s is very convenient for me, so I’m always grateful that the food is good and it’s a broad menu.
We like to eat here because the menu appeals to all of us. We are retirees, we live in the area, the price is moderate and the service is always good ! Our waitstaff was Adam. He did a great job ! The hostess greeted us enthusiastically and with a smile ! We three all had the Pot Pie. It was very hot and bubbly and the crust was wonderful !! The portion was large too. The only improvement I could do is to cook the vegetables a bit longer. The celery and onion were a bit crispy. Otherwise we love your restaurant and will eat there for sure again !!
