We thought the portions were inexplicably small which brings into question the value proposition.
Fantastic Wild Alaskan Halibut & Spicy Pear Martinis! Couldn't have had a more perfect birthday Lunch!
Service was slow, waited 5 minutes for waitress to come to table the first time and there were only 4 tables in whole restaurant with customers. Food was excellent but service lacking.
We were greeted promptly, bartender was excellent, our server was outstanding. Everyone worked very hard to give us a pleasant dining experience. We gave only 4 stars for food, because mine had to be sent back to be cooked more. (The beef medallions were rather tough anyway)
Great food. A pleasant setting.
Service was attentive, not overly friendly.
Manager stopped to greet us during the meal and inquired if everything was to our liking.
Our waitperson was fantastic. If I could give her 10 stars I would. Everything about our dining experience was perfect.
To put my below comments in context: we had a Sunday night reservation at 6pm for four adults. and there were roughly fifteen other dinners in the restaurant (so pretty empty)
Our waitress forgot about us. We didn't receive entrees for about 40 minutes after we placed our orders. She didn't bring us bread, we had to ask at the time we ordered our entrees. My mother in law's dessert never actually came to the table - we waited 20+ minutes until she had to find someone that worked for the restaurant to have it wrapped to go. And the cherry on sundae is that we were inaccurately charged for a 5th entree. Which wasn't caught until later in the evening by us. Vouchers for free appetizers were given to us for our return but we probably won't be back.
Despite the atrocious service, the entrees were good.
We enjoyed the calamari because it was different in the fact that they added other veggies on the platter that were lightly breaded. We felt rushed by our waitress even though the restaurant wasn't at all busy. The acoustics were awful in the place.
We found the food delicious. Our servER forgot to order my soup but she was new at her job and we were so busy talking I barely noticed until she brought it and apologized. Overall experience was excellent.
Dinner took 90 minutes to arrive to table and 3 out of 4 entrees were wrong. We ate them anyway as wasn't going to wait any longer. They credited us for the three dinners so it was a cheap dinner. Service was mediocre and the wait times for drinks appetizers, etc took way longer than it should have. I am not recommending this place to anyone and wouldn't come back unless is was at a steep discount.
Food was good, but not great.
Was not told that needed pay extra for flavored lemonade nor that there was charge again for refill. Ambience was good, restaurant was almost empty.
Service was ok. More likely will not return. Didn't feel portions worth cost
This was for Fathers Day with my daughter... The initial service was slow since they were apparently a little busy on the other side but the overall experience was very good!!!
Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was excellent. We will go back.
When we booked our dinner, we didn't realize it was "Friday Fish Fry Night," but decided to try it. We split a dinner salad before dinner, not realizing that the portions were so huge . . . but very delicious. That was also true when we ate our left-overs for a second meal!
Very good food. Lovely (quiet) atmosphere for my family to celebrate my wife's birthday. They even printed a birthday greeting on the menu! She was so surprised!
We used to dine here regularly but our last two visits were very disappointing. The kitchen was very slow (45 minutes for entrees and 30 minutes for desert) and the fish had the consistency of rubber. A prime rib sandwich was mostly fat. The manager was on the floor seeking feedback, which is a good thing. But he doesn't respond appropriately to negative feedback - he just gets defensive. Too bad - the atmosphere is pleasant and the noise level allows for conversation without shouting.
Great lunch with my cousin. Fantastic Halibut with mashed potatoes & green beans. Outstanding LEMON DROP MARTINI & COSMOS. Bartender very cheerful & helpful. Waiter was great, explained our options & very attentive. I already have our next Halibut lunch planned.
Wife and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was not very busy and our server was very attentive. Food came at a good interval and we did not feel rushed. Very relaxing and nice dinner. Price is higher than other restaurants in area but you get what you pay for.
The waiter was knowledgable and patient with our decisions. Thank you Justin.
They printed happy anniversary on our menu
We dined on the evening of a 70th birthday. The staff was especially friendly and helpful. Quality of the meal was outstanding. We knew that the cost would be higher, so we were not surprised by the bill, But then this was not Mickey D's and this was a special occasion. We would recommend this establishment to others for those special times in life.
Never having been to McCormick and Schmick's I was excited to try it. However, the food was so so for the price and the service was terrible. We were dining on a Sunday night when the restaurant was not very busy at all but we waited for 45 to 50 minutes for our entrees and upon delivery of them my daughter's salad was not the right kind she ordered. And the waitress questioned her as to make sure she wasn't thinking of something else. In the end she apologized because the salad was new to the menu and she didn't know about it, but never asked when it was ordered.
I take my mother here every year for her birthday. And other years - have been very good. This year however was horrible. The service was very poor - slow and little knowledge about the menu. The food was fair as well. For the price - I have higher expectations. I dont mind paying for excellet food - but when you pay over $8 for a cup of soup - I expect it to be good. Same thing for a restaurant that focuses on seafood - shrimp should never be fishy and mahi mahi never dry. They were even out of clams for the dish my mother ordered and didn't come back and tell us until 35 minutes after ordering. The manager mentioned his staff was very new - and it certainly showed. So disappointing.
Our server was completely incompetent. She was more interested in selling us a rewards card. Also, the host upon arrival needed a complete make-over. And finally, the kitchen must have been taken a holiday. Lunch should not take 45 minutes to be served.
When we arrived, the hostess (manager?) was telling another hostess where to seat us. She spoke in front of us about one server being stressed, another one had too many people, etc. etc. Seemed very unprofessional. When we were seated, we noticed there were plenty of open tables; not sure why seating was such a problem. The food was fine, but not great. The server was very pleasant and helpful.
Mother's Day brunch had a limited menu, but the food was very good. The crab Benedict is obviously not a menu regular, as the poached eggs were hard, the hollandaise sauce was stingy, but flavorful and I had to request an English muffin for the Benedict.
Everything else from the mimosa to the coconut shrimp appetizer was delightful. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and engaging.
The crab legs were very good, well prepared and served split to make eating them less of a challenge. Service was attentive.
The Ambiance with the stained glass and décor are wonderfully done. Looks like an Applebees from the outside wow what a surprise. The appetizers were wonderfully done and proportioned nicely with the main course being the same. First time there, had early dinner, hot bread and butter came during the meal. But for a seafood restaurant, steaks were good
This restaurant is consistently Excellent with both food and service.
It's know for great seafood but the steak is excellent as well.
Everyone in our party loved their meal choice; filets, lob & steer, salmon pasta. Server was very attentive. This is an upscale restaurant, so things are a little pricey . . . but good.
Our waiter Andrew was clear well spoken and familiar with the wine selection and food menu. The Ambiance with the stained glass and décor are wonderfully done. Looks like an Applebees from the outside wow what a surprise.
The appetizers were wonderfully done and proportioned nicely with the main course being the same. I would strongly recommend and suggest the Seared Scallops and Stuffed Shrimp. All in all a great price for the Quality of meal and amount of food (2 appetizers - 2 main coarse - 3 glasses of wine $130 w/o tip). I would rate this a 4 of 5, I'm hard scorer so this was above average.
Overall the food was not the best or the greatest just OK. I mentioned to the waitress that I didn't want any croutons on my Caesar Salad and what do I get? croutons on my Caesar Salad. And to top it off my salad and my boyfriends soup were not included in our dinner, which explains why our bill was $110.70. Seriously, the waitress could have mentioned that they weren't included after asking us if we wanted soup or salad. I most definitely will not be returning to this restaurant.
the oysters rock were missing one key ingredient, which I think was the Pernod.
The Caesar salad was crisp and fresh, a bit too much dressing.
the fish - flounder, parmesan rice and vegetables - appeared like there was a ladle of oil put on the plate before the food. Way too much oil.
the other fish dish had the same vege medley and it also was sitting in a puddle of oil
prior visit was great perhaps a different chef/cook
What a great spot for a hearty, seafood lunch. There were many choices on the menu, I had a hard time deciding! I ended up going with the 2 Lunch Combo and had the blackened tilapia and the salad (which they were kind enough to switch out for ceaser). Delicious!
My husband and I are often without plans or family on holidays. We go to McCormick & Shmick's instead. The waitstaff always takes excellent care of us, its kid friendly, and the holiday specials are delicious. The decor is also gorgeous.
The only thing I can say good is that we got in and seated right away with the reservation. There was an issue with the bottles of beer that were ordered they ran out so they brought us to tappers never asked if they wanted something else. We waited over an hour and a half for our food come out. The portion size for the price was ridiculous ! I will never eat here again nor will I recommend this restaurant to any of my friends !
Outstanding server knowledge and attention. He had perfect timing throughout the evening. Dessert box was insane!!!
I've eaten at McCormick and Schmick's all around the country. This had a lovely interior and was a great place to have a nice quiet birthday lunch. I had the equivalent of fish fajitas and the veggies were good but the tilapia was way too done. But everything that went with it was visually appealing and tasty. Dessert was a white chocolate mousse in a chocolate bag, covered in berries. It was worth being another year older just to have that. It was large and plenty to share for two.
Shrimp kisses and coconut shrimp were very good.
very good service nice people nice
