The 4 fish dinners were excellent. The clam chouder was full of clam meat.
There was no one there and the service was extremely slow and the food portions or tiny and tasted terrible… Would skip this experience
I took my brother out to celebrate, his promotion to manager. This was our first time at this location(it couldn’t hold a flame to the original). We arrived prior to our reservation, and they were happy to seat us early! As soon as we sat down both my brother, and myself noticed that the partitions along the both were COVERED in dust. Our waitress was FANTASTIC just attentive enough to allow us to feel waited on, without feeling we had a third person in our party. Our calamari appetizer was ok, but that also led us to discover that our small plates were in fact covered in grease. My brother was very happy with his steak, and lobster. I ordered the shrimp which were flavorless, and the fries that came with them were very over seasoned. I wouldn’t go again.
Our waitress was perfectly attentive in making sure our experience was exquisite. I always enjoy the Cubby and quality of food, while her touch is something you must enjoy for yourself.
We always get a great meal at McCormack & Schmicks. The food is good, the service is good, and the place has a nice environment. Always love the oysters.
From beginning to end a disappointment. Usually we love it here, but today was a disaster. So sad.
Overall terrible experience. Food had been clearly sitting out for a while prior to being served.. absolutely no pink in my “med rare”steak, potatoes were hard, the lobster tails were very dry and the size of a shrimp..sat in an empty bar and took over half hour to order apps and drink. Will never go back
The service was terrible, for lunch there was probably 5 tables seated and we waited 30+ minutes for our food to come out. When it came out it was burnt and overdone. I do not recommend the food, especially for the price.
It was absolutely cold which made it uncomfortable. Only had one waiter doing two parties.
The food was fresh and delicious! The apple pie was to di9e for!
Excellent seafood -- the lobster was some of the best I've ever had. We also loved the Chocolate Bag dessert, which is a milk chocolate structure filled with white chocolate mousse and various berries. This is a more expensive night out but the food lived up to the prices.
Very disappointed by the food and service. It was a birthday dinner. Items were not available in the menu. Food was over priced and tasteless. It seemed like seafood for a nursing home - no favor at all.
Excellent service! The food never disappoints. I really enjoyed the NY Strip and their creme brûlée was delicious.
Très peu de monde une bonne carte et des plats très bons
J’avais signalé dans la réservation que c’était pour un anniversaire mais cela n’a jamais été relevé
Great seafood options but also many other choices for non-fish eaters. Good location that is easy to get to from the T and in a walkable area for enjoying the historic sites. Friendly service and varied table options for getting a quiet booth or window table.
I would highly recommend M&S... good value and very good service... staff was very attentive and food was excellent! Even my kids loved it and they fussy! Lol
The drinks were perfectly mixed. The service was absolutely great as well. My steak was cooked perfectly, my only issue is that my wife's lobster tails came out cold and a bit over cooked as well
Waiter disappeared for long periods of time. Restaurant was not busy so not sure why. We were not his only table with this issue. Food was very good though.
Our experience is always great here. The waiters/waitresses are excellent and the food is always delicious.
Disappointing experience. We went their for lunch and it was very disorganized. The bread was not ready when we got there and we never received it. One would think that they would have known to have bread ready for lunch time. Also, they were out of many basic items. The waiter was not very gracious.
We went to McCormick and Schmicks before a Celtic's game. Service was prompt but not intrusive but it was a Sunday afternoon so the restaurant wasn't really busy. Cocktails were expertly prepared, the seafood was fresh and had a lovely presentation and the steaks were exactly as ordered. I never gave the restaurant its' due consideration because it was in the Faneuil Hall Marketplace but we will definitely return.
Why bother. I was completely ignored by my server and sat for 15 minutes with my finished plate in front of me. Save your money.
Met friends at McCormick & Schmick's for dinner recently. Had made reservations on Open Table prior. When we arrived we were met immediately by Hostess Ashley and led upstairs to a great corner table with a wonderful view of Faneuil Hall proper. Our friends arrived after us and were led to our table. Great crafted cocktails before dinner, followed by appetizers of oysters on the half shell, caesar salad, waldorf salad and soup. Entrees consisted of 6oz filet mignons for my wife and our female friend, 13oz N.Y.Strip steak for her boyfriend, and grilled salmon in a berry reduction for me. Steaks came with broccolini, mine with grilled potatoes vegtables. Wife also ordered side of asparagus, shared by the table, and we also had a order of lobster infused mashed potatoes to share. Steaks were all cooked perfectly medium, nice and juicy. My salmon was also cooked perfectly, flaky and flavorful. Service was excellent and provided by Mike. He was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, pacing the approximately 3 hour meal perfectly.
Ok. Great food and presentation. Great location, but it’s time to refresh the place.
Great time with friends. Waiter was absolutely wonderful. Food just okay and a little expensive but still had a great night. I would go back.
Took my date here last night for early Valentine's day date. Loved food and they were especially accomdating towards her gluten allergy with a separate menu. Also the chocolate bag dessert was a lot of fun and tasty
Our dishes were properly prepared, but had just an average taste. Not much creativity to the presentation, and probably because a large chain needs uniformity across many locations. The table service was a bright note, very pleasant and attentive. The restaurant is in need of a good spring cleaning, as there was a deep dust layer within arms reach of our table.
It was a great dinner for my fiancé’s birthday. Service was great!
I held a dinner to celebrate my daughter having received her Bachelor's Degree. The food was good and they had great choices for wine. The service was excellent. They had run out of a couple of things but our waiter bent over backwards to offer alternatives and was outstanding. I have been there in the past and will definitely return in the future.
This is a chain I know for many years. Unfortunately they closed their New York and New Jersey restaurants. I got in Boston the excellent food I have experienced in the past. It is a very good not expensive restaurant specializing in see food.
We ate at the bar and James, our server / bartender was outstanding!
The food was great as was the server, but we were seated in a booth by the front door. It was 2 degrees outside - we froze.
Everything was great. Our server Molly was top notch, she was attentive, personable and very knowledgeable. The drinks were great and our meals were perfect. We could not have had a better experience!! Molly made the difference!!
Went on Christmas Day. We had reservations and were seated promptly. Food was delicious. Didn't feel rushed.
You cannot go wrong at McCormick & Schmick's consistency always delicious top quality food, top notch service, upscale clientele and atmosphere.
Service was slow even with cocktails. Waitress nice, but not well informed. Food was good. Manager did comp drinks due to the wait and cold french fries!
Excellent dinner. Busy Holiday Saturday night for the restaurant but we received great service from Mike "A Ben Affleck Lookalike". We all enjoyed our dinner choices and were glad we had room for dessert. The dessert menu was surprising, had many excellent choices that we enjoyed and made our dinners complete and us very happy.
Not happy. Service was terrible. Our appetizers came out same time as dinner. Took 1/2 hour for waiter to bring wasabi for my seared tuna. By then everything was cold. The waiter blamed the season.
This was a special night and wanted a special place, obviously this isn’t that place.
Fantastic Experience, everything from our server, to the manager on duty whom came to our table multiple times, and even went out of her way to go and get whole Maine Lobsters which is what we came for... They went above and beyond Great experience
I will go there every time I am in town... absolute best service we have experienced in the Boston area.
Place was dead .. I found out why . I had 5 guys for dinner they put us in a alcove which was fine .The waiter was surely and over talked the entire menu line item by line item . Got the drinks right that was it . The food came out under cooked two orders of steak were sent back for being raw not med.rare .Took 15 mins to get them back to the table . The steaks were tasteless and hard to cut with steak knives . I would never go back and I guess thats why for a Thursday night in Naples in Mercato this place only had 5 tables at 730 pm with people at them . They poor a great drink but the food went way down hill along with the service . never going back JOE O
