Needs to be updated for sure! Food was good so was the service! Like I said needs to be remodeled !
Excellent service - lobsters corn chowder was delicious.
Excellent food and service at a reasonable price. I selected McCormick's to host a business meeting with three guests from Israel based on location and on-line reviews. Everyone was most pleased.
Not a Good Experience
The salad was soggy, the twin lobster tails were appetizer size. My husband had the baked stuffed shrimp that were so tiny you could eat them in one bite.
Our server Josh was very attentive and polite, the only reason for the two stars. Also the hosts were very friendly.
There are so many better restaurants in Boston; skip this one!
We went on a Sunday evening and it was not at all crowded. We were a bit over serviced but I think the waiter was bored because of lack of clientele. It is worthy to note that it was very cold and windy outside so not many people out. The food came quickly and was delicious! Stuffed shrimp were ample with a very delicious mashed potato base (unbelievable) and the sea scallops were huge. Worth going to.
Well prepared seafood. Recommend clam chowder and lobster roll.
For the second time, this restaurant has severely disappointed me. Only half the tables in the room were sat and we still waited almost 20 mins to even be offered water. Our waiter didn’t check on us throughout the meal and we waited 30 minutes with empty plates in front of us for our check. For the price point this is OUTRAGEOUS. I won’t be back.
McCormack & Schmicks is a great restaurant for Seafood lovers. For a "chain" restaurant, there is still a wonderful air of "local" Boston seafood.
Lunch was excellent with good lunch portions.
The service was bad it took so long to get another glass of red wine
Went on New Year’s Eve. Service was terrible. I couldn’t believe how bad. I have eaten there several times in the bar and never had a bad experience, but this was something that they should have been embarrassed about. I had to send my steak back as I asked for it medium and it came still bleeding off the cow. And did I mention the terrible service? Anyway, I gave it a 3 since my boyfriends meal was good (scallops) and previous experiences were decent. Definitely disappointed though that New Year’s Eve wasn’t better and they were definitely not more prepared for a busy occasion.
The food and service were both excellent. However, the restaurant was filthy. We went for lunch and it was obvious the rug had not been vacuumed from the night before. The pictures hanging at eye level in the booth were covered in splattered food and there wasn’t any paper towels in the bathrooms. There is just no excuse for this
Food was excellent and enjoyed meal but service was horrible
Our waitress was non existent. Never once asked how we liked our food! Food was good however the veggie on my dinner portion was rather small (1 Brussel sprout, one small onion, half of a beet and half of a half of a carrot). Very sad looking on that huge plate they gave me. Really enjoyed the calamari and Caesar salad.
Very bad...service.. food.. all dad.. h
Indifferent service & food on a Christmas day dinner!!Lobster bisque was a thick pool of cold salted glue! Food came haphazardly, cold & greasy. Not the kind of food and service for this level of restaurant albeit short of service & kitchen staff on a holiday! Hotel restaurant would have been better if we’d known! A real gastronomic Christmas disaster!
The waiter was complaining about how busy they were, however 1/2 of the tables were empty
We had Christmas dinner at the location in Chicago and liked it so much that we decided to have Christmas at the local location. The food was not great, service was only adequate, my husband’s meal was wrong and by the time he received his correct meal, my daughter and I had finished our meal. Not the special meal that we was hoping for. We will likely not return.
Food was great server was awesome. Did feel a little rushed but it was the holiday. There were tears in the booths cushions also. But the food was exceptional.
The server was so annoying and even we mentioned my husband’s birthday was that day and he even said happy birthday or offer a dessert. Also my husband needed to stand up two times to ask for some service.
Food good, service horrible
Pretty good. Been there 2 year prior and food was then much better. Possibly new chef? Lobster tail not to fresh , impression reheated. Service friendly . Wieth to check the place though.
The food was exceptional! Great service! The staff was friendly & attentive! I recommend this place & look forward to going back soon!
Terrific lobster roll
Great service. And good recommendations. We enjoyed a great lunch in a nice setting in a comfortable booth.
We typically have our family holiday dinner at Legal Seafood, but decided to try McCormick for something different. Pretty disappointed. The food was good, but VERY pricey for what you got. The service was not good particularly for the prices we were paying. Waiter was not knowledgeable about the food (did not know why the swordfish was called Hawaiian swordfish, did not know if there was wheat in udon noodles). Was not very attentive. Did not fully clear the dinner items before bringing dessert, and left yucky items on the table (empty tarter sauce cup, lemons, butter dishes) until we left. The dinner was over $400, I would just expect much better service for that price. We will be going back to Legal seafood from now on.
Excellent restaurant with good food at reasonable prices.
Every appetizer was delicious, and our server was wonderful. Great place to meet up and catch up!!
The New England clam chowder was excellent. I wished I had ordered a bowl instead of a cup. The sa,mom with shrimp and crabmeat stuffing was tasty and nicely presented. The bar looked like fun, but we sat in the dining room which was comfortable table and had a nautical atmosphere. We loved it and would return.
The hostess did not have our reservation on file. The service was slow, including forgetting wine and bringing bread after food was served. The food was fine, but overpriced.
Perfect end to a wonderful day!
Greeted nicely, staff was cordial food was delicious
Had a great experience! We came in for Veteran's Day and they were slammed! Despite the business of the restaurant, I felt like we had the full attention of the server and the hostess when we were working with them.
Food was okay. Server was horrible. First table places at was broken. Had to ask for bread and to put our meals in
Taken right away at our reservation time. Pleasant atmosphere, good food, nice variety of food choices, good martini list and good wine list.
A nice dining experience in Boston.
Our experience was just ok. It started with the hostess being short with us and had explained they where short handed this night. Once seated drinks were good. Food was good. The waiter had forgotten my side order of potatoes and took some time to get, and we were there to celebrate a birthday which I had while making reservation that was overlooked
Birthday celebration and asked for table in nice location...was put in the middle by the doorway. Seriously understaffed...food was adequate... as my wife said - we won’t be rushing back! One bright spot was the person who ended up waiting on us...Hazma... quality employee!
Restaurant is starting to look worn. Booth seats torn and carpet is worn.
My biggest issue is that we had a 6:30pm reservation. The restaurant was quiet and was not full even when left and the hostess sat us at the worst table in front of the open kitchen. I requested that we move to a better table. Why not give those who book a reservation in advance a nice table in a good location and make your guest feel like they are appreciated. Now I have a negative thought about this place and may try someone else next time.
We visited this this establishment located in Quincy Market on 11/03 for late dinner. We were shocked to discover that we were charged $12 extra for steak sauce and anchovies on our Caesar Salad. We were not notified beforehand about these extra charges before ordering by our server Joshua. As regular patrons, we are very disappointed!
Great ambiance and service. The food was even better. In an area where many restaurants get away with shoddy service and poor food this place stands out as going against that trend. Will be back the next time we are in town.
It’s was second time dining their and the food was excellent.
