This was my first time to McCall's and I was extremely impressed. Every item of our order that we had seemed to surpass the previous. We were a party of 4 and one member was EXTREMELY fussy with his order and particulars. The wait staff handled his very numerous requests to his satisfaction (which I never thought possible previous to this). i would highly recommend this restaurant to steak lovers and others and my mouth is watering thinking about my next dining experience.
I read the reviews and thought it would be a good choice. I was not disappointed. Food was quite good. Service was attentive, but not in the way. A very enjoyable experience.
We were there celebrating my sons birthday. The staff was amazing!!!
This was our second time here - it seemed like a convenient place to eat before going to the comedy show at the Stratosphere. The food was really good both times and it is a quiet atmosphere so you can actually have a conversation. I had the blackened mahi mahi and it was soooo good. I have to try to meat next time since it IS a steak house. Our waiter was funny and nice.
I chose McCall's based on web reviews. I had a 5:15pm reservation so the restaurant was practically empty when I arrived. Overall, the staff was great but my server was a little slow at times. The ambiance is what I refer to as "grown up" - sophisticated, dark woods, overstuffed booth seating, etc.
I had the seafood trio ($42.00) with buttermilk mashed potatoes ($6.00). The seafood trio did not include accompaniments which was somewhat outrageous considering the $42.00 price. The crab cake was very good but it would have been excellent if it had not been placed on top of soupy cole slaw, the shrimp scampi was good, but the lobster tail was overdone and underseasoned. The mashed potatoes were a generous portion (enough for two) and tasted homemade. My server surprised me with a complimentary birthday dessert (fresh mixed berries and ice cream).
I don't know if McCall's is the best option for special occasion dining in Las Vegas since there are dozens of other high-end restaurants on the strip, but the staff and service were good. And the Stratosphere Hotel has free parking unlike most of the other hotels on the Strip.
The food was ok but not great. My tuna had a vein of gristle in it. My husband’s lobster was much better than mine.
Wonderful experience! Great food... Fast service. Thank you
The food was great. I'd say it's a little over priced for the quality but the service was great. We showed up early for our reservation and we got our table as soon as we walked in. We were in and out within 30 minutes.
Great atmosphere, great food quality amazing service.
The service was excellent! Very attentive and detailed, I really can't say enough about the service. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were mediocre at best.
The Food and Service were great! The lighting and Ambiance were just right!
Must be a great chef. Excellent meal, well prepared. And reasonable prices on the food and drink. Service a little slow even though it wasn't crowded. But the servers were nice and attentive. Really tasty meal.
Delicious food drinks and dessert
This place wasn't bad, just ok. Nothing really stood out. We wish we would have gone somewhere else.
Great food and service for the price. We had reservations for 7:30 dinner before our show. We arrive about 20 minutes early and they were very accommodating to seat us. The hostess was pleasant and our waiter and other staff were very good, not overly attentive which was nice.
We stay at the Stratosphere monthly and dine at McCalls every time.
The steaks are excellent but we are leaning toward the Mahi Mahi and Salmon lately. Both are cooked perfectly, very moist and tasty. Service is always very good. Prices are fair for the quality of food.
Bad service and average food and fish was not fresh
We had christmas dinner in this great ambiance with delicious food and good service.
Great service by an enthusiastic and friendly waiter (Godolfo?). The wine was pretty good. Little else to commend it. It was not crowded so conversation was easy but the steak and potatoes felt like they had been cooked earlier and then reheated. I guess there’s not much else in the neighborhood.
Hats off to the chef! Everything about our meal was fabulous and the service was on point.
We went here right after we got married and the steak and lobster was so good. Loved the service.
Great food but small amount of food for the money,
Lots of Nats flying around our table,
The ambience in the dining room is very nice. The decoration is meant more for romance. The food itself was great. I had the rib-eye, side of green beans and polenta for the main meal. Everything was cooked to perfection. My wife and I started with the sampler platter, which is a must-try. Contains potato skins, prawns and chicken wings. The service was fast, friendly and helpful. Will definitely eat here again.
We had the steak and lobster tail. The steak was tender but the accompanying onion rings beneath the steak was soggy and not crunchy at all. The lobster tail was brownish in colour and not that tasty. The green beans and mashed potatoes were just okay. The complimentary thin bread sticks served were very tasty. The dessert consisted of a parfait container of vanilla ice cream with what tasted like frozen fruit which were not entirely thawed out.
Pamela is a wonderful hostess. Great food. Fun and lovely.
The food was terrible but the manager and staff were good, especially the female manager!
It was definitely an OK dining experience. Not what I expected for the other high reviews. Too loud for my liking. I’d rather pay for the higher dollar steakhouses in the area. But it’s great if you are on a tighter budget and want a decent steak.
My waiter Chad was amazing! He was very attentive and social and made my evening very special.
This our second time visiting McCall's. The dining experience was fantastic both times. My wife and I enjoyed the steak and lobster dinner on each occasion. Both times the steak was prepared perfectly, and the portions are generous. This is an upscale steak house. This will be our annual stop when visiting Vegas. The meal is worth leaving the strip.
Waitress and Manager were very attentive when I had to send my medium filet mignon back two times since it was bloody. They comped my meal and kept apologizing. Appears to be an incompetent chef working last Friday.
We had dinner for two, the lobster and steak 3-course special. It was wonderful! Such a great value. The ambiance of the restaurant, right off a busy casino, was surprisingly quiet and lovely. The service was great, attentive yet not intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and staying at the Stratosphere was an added bonus for convenience.
Great restaurant. Food was great and the service was awesome also
We went for the Surf and Turf special. Service was excellent. Lobster was the best I have ever had and the steak was tender. The desert, berries and cream, was outstanding. I would go again.
It is our honeymoon so my husband and I tried this place based kn a friend’s recommendation. The food was very good and the service was fantastic. We will definitely come back.
Too bad there are no signs of the restaurant outside of the hotel. you need to find it.
The food was very good and very well prepared. The choice is interesting for fish and for steaks.
If you want a good restaurant in Las Vegas without paying an awful bill I recommend this place.
Chad, Waiter, only came to life when time for his tip. Prime rib was tough. Forgot our lobster.
Salad and blue cheese dressing was excellent. The Sampler platter was overcooked: shrimp,
potato, and buffalo wings...TERRIBLE! Mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box.
We ate the night before at Tuscany Gardens and their ribeye and shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo was excellent!
Love this restaurant. Great food and service consistently. Very comfortable.
We had an excellent meal which consisted of steak and lobster. The meat was cooked to perfection and the garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. Kim, our waitress, was awesome and offered great choices. She was also very friendly and on top of our order. Definitely worth dining here!
I would highly recommend this place for Happy Hour. The food and drinks are very reasonable for Happy Hour. The food was above average in quality and price. I would go back if there again for a good meal. The bread was very good and tasty.
i was not impressed at all. To be honest the only reason we went was because the casino comped our dinner. I wouldn't go back unless we were comped again.
