Weekend Brunch and Bloody Mary Bar served on Saturday and Sunday
Live Music Every Sunday on the Covered Patio for Sunday Brunch
awesome seafood, never disappointed in every trip from North Carolina
We were seated at 5:30. We were told they were out of garlic mashed potatoes, roasted broccoli, roasted new potatoes, and asparagus. So since my meal came with mashed potatoes, I had to choose something else. I asked for dirty rice. I was brought red beans and rice instead. The red beans were old and hard. Also, our table was very wobbly and we asked waitress to please send busboy to fix it. Took thirty minutes to get it fixed.
Everything was delicious, from the appetizers to our main meal. Will definitely return!
Food was fantastic. We had oysters in the half shell that were huge and the oysters Rockefeller were the best I’ve ever had.
The food was terrific, the menu selections eclectic, and the service was superior. Our waitress (Hannah) was attentive without being intrusive, and was quick to tell us that the kitchen was overwhelmed, and slow, due to Father's Day traffic. We enjoyed the entire experience and will return.
Always love going here. Delicious as usual. Love starting at the bar and then to the dinner table. Bread pudding is the perfect ending!
I had booked a table, and it wasn't ready, so they put us in the bar. There was a table of young women making an incredible amount of noise. I asked the manger to ask them to quiet down. She said she "couldn't do that," in a very dismissive manner. The people at the next table were upset by the noise as well, but nothing was done.
They moved us to the other side of a partial wall. Gee, thanks.
Food was good not great. Nothing fresh on the entree plates, oysters were very small
Great menu. Lots of variety.. something for everyone! Wonderful service.

Final thoughts? We had misfortune after misfortune dining here. The waiter we had was incompetent or a trainee that should have been supervised. Orders were messed up, took him 25 minutes to deliver 2 scotch on the rocks. Totally forgot part of my wife's order. Apologized again, admitting he forgot to turn the order in. We arrived for our reservation at 7:30 pm, it was almost 9:30 when we left. Soup/salads with 4 entrees, no wine. Every 15 minutes or so waiter would come by and say it's about 15 minutes away, and that happened 4 times before we were served. Someone came by who said they were the manager and talked to us and we told her our problems with the place. She comped my wife's order that she didn't eat because it was cold and offered us desserts which we wouldn't have ordered anyway. There's a steakhouse next door we'll be going to, but we won't be going back to McAdoo's anytime
Very good food
Bill was a very nice and helpful waiter.
I was upset when they threw out my take out, when I only left the table for 2 minutes. I paid a lot of money for it and they threw it away, didn't even run up to me by the front door which was only 5 ft away to say hey you left this.I turned around after reaching the door and they threw it away already. Give people time to leave and come back before clearing the table. It wasn't even busy yet. Also we pd $33 for a dinner and it came out cold and over cooked. If I wanted to pay for over cooked and cold food I would go to Red lobster.
End of the school year!
My Mom and I went during our “Girl’s Day”, and it was an absolutely WONDERFUL experience! The food, service, ambiance etc. was AWESOME, and we can’t wait to dine here again soon!
Very slow service and our waiter did not bring our salad. We had our entre and then just didn't bother.
Outstanding service, Travis was awesome! Great recommendations and the food delicious! We will be back!
We always enjoy dining here!
Place to eat!!!
Great Sunday Brunch! You will not be disappointed.
Excellent all around. I was extremely impressed with both the food and service. This is now on my list of top restaurants.
Six for early dinner one then weekend. Flounder, a couple seafood salads, and salmon. All were excellent. Very reasonable prices. Without the two bottles of wine it would have been extremely inexpensive. Dn trees under and just over $20. Service was Ok but could have been a bit more attentive.
Excellent service. Great food. The redfish Pontchartrain was excellent. The mixed grill skewer was good but serving was extremely small. Two small bites ( less than 3/4”)chicken, two small bites (less than 3/4”) beef, two shrimp. On a very small serving of grits. Disappointed with the portion on the skewer. With the price of chicken and shrimp there could have been more than a few bites on the plate. Also the wedge salad was extremely small. Probably only a 2x3” wedge of lettuce. Usually wedge salads are much larger. Price of salads was fair but would expect larger portions for the high prices. Otherwise everything was excellent. Just need to ensure their portions are adequate as their pricing is higher than many other similar restaurants.
The Quail on their brunch menu is to die for! So is the chicken and waffles... Love their Bloody Mary bar; so much to choose from.
We kept running out of water, and it took a long time for refills because of a “not my table” attitude among waiters (some walked right by with full pitchers, but apparently had blinders on).
This place has a very pleasant setting I was stunned by the gorgeous patio and interesting fans. I give their food five stars
The date was really bad 😂; the food was great 😃!
I made reservations for 4. My husband and I and another couple wanted to enjoy a more adult, high end dinner for my husband and I's 18th anniversary. Upon Arrival at 5:20 for our 5:30 reservation, the parking in the area was a challenge. The outside of the restaurant made me think I might have been underdressed, but as I entered it was a bit loud and a variety of dress attire was evident. We (4 adults) were seated at a table more suitable for a couple, tucked tightly in front of other tables filled with lots of people and MANY small children. Larger tables suitable for 4 were open, and our server even asked if we'd like to move as she could see we were crowded. We commented that we'd like that, she said she see what she could do, then nothing more was said. 15 minutes later, the tables were finally filled with Two (2) people at each one! Frustrating, as our appetizers came out, and even the food runners had no clue where to put our sampler plate and the only other thing on the table were water glasses and our cocktails we ordered. On my reservation, it asked if I was celebrating any special occasion, I listed my 18th wedding anniversary. Don't know why this was asked, as no mention of it at all, kind of pointless. The dishes we ordered weren't so special, but overpriced for what they were. I ordered Scallops and Shrimp Baton Rouge. $32 is a lot to pay for 3 scallops/3 shrimps and a lot of new potatoes and broccoli. Disappointing to say the least. My friend ordered lobster Bisque that was so spicy (not mentioned on menu) she couldn't finish it. Had it not been for our cheery and polite server, we would have called it quits at the cocktails and opened up our table for another twosome to enjoy. I would rather have spent THAT kind of money elsewhere and gotten more value for my money. Sad, we had never been there before and this was our first time to go. Won't be back....
We arrived early for our reservation on mothers day and were seated right away on the patio as requested. The service was immediate, friendly, helpful. The food is delicious, fresh, well prepared.
We were disappointed when we arrived at our 2:15 reservation time to learn that we had to wait another 30 minutes for our table. What’s the point of having a reservation when the restaurant isn’t reserving the table? This was upsetting since we had out of town visitors with us. Our only option was to sit out on the patio and it was extremely hot for our elderly guests. Very disappointed! You can do better McAdoos!
McAdoos never disappoints! Great food, service and atmosphere.
Great Food & Great Service!! Lunch for Mother’s Day - Amazing Bloody Mary station.
A nice experience, I didn’t realize when I made a reservation it was prom night. Very busy, I think the food prep was rushed and not presented well. My friend got the jumbalya, but didn’t care for the flavor. I got 2 scallops and 3 shrimp, and broccoli $32, is a lot for that meal. Overall good time, we return when less busy
The restaurant is nice.
We went on a Saturday (day before mother's day). We made a reservation. The restaurant was packed. We sat in the bar area- because our table was not ready, even with a reservation.
Seems like the bar area was not fully staff until 5:30pm. We had a bartender and a waitress (who never gave us her name). My food was lukewarm (stuffed flounder), husband's steak - med. rare- was more like a medium. The food had good taste - if i was eating it as leftovers.
We asked for an oyster menu - then we had to ask again.
We felt like the whole time we were trying to get a hold of someone when they passed by so we can order our food and drinks and get them on timely manner.
Yes, the restaurant was busy, but this was not the experience we wanted to have for our first time.
Hostess was not very friendly. Made reservations and was told it would be a 20-30 minute wait unless we wanted to sit outside in the 88 degree heat. Hostess was very "matter of fact" about it. Food was very good. Wait staff was attentive.
I love how one server took our drink order while our designated server was busy. Great teamwork and we received the service we expected.
Never have a bad experience here! Cheese grits are amazing and love the brunch
Very enjoyable dining experience. The entrees were very good and well presented. Enjoyed the oysters from the oyster bar, and really likes their fried whole okra.
The food is fantastic! Great service! We will be back very soon. (Also - out of this world shrimp and grits, and the oysters were fresh and delicious!!)
