Great food as usual! Love the Oysters!!! The atmosphere is unique... the old post office! The margarita was even good! My husband had a Bloody Mary ... fantastic appearance and taste.
Good service, food, people and crawfish. Had a lot of fun.
Great food and great service! We have eaten at McAdoo's several times and always enjoy it. My husband orders the seafood enchiladas every time. We enjoyed our drinks from the bar and our food!
Outstanding Louisiana food in a gorgeous environment. Service was impeccable, and the food was a great value.
Service was great and so was the food.
Loved the bloody Mary bar.
Easter Sunday brunch was great with excellent service and food.
Really enjoyed our dinner at McAdoo's, it was our first time eating at the restaurant and we will be back! Many selections to choose from, and the seasoning wa spot on as far as these Cajuns are concerned. The renovated building had a great ambiance and pleasing decor...highly recommend:)
Que enjoyed a great quality service and ambiance. We strongly recommend the Mahi Mahi Beouedeux and the Oysters.
Great food, great service, great prices = Great Time!!!
Love this place. Wonderful people, good food. Great drinks. Awesome ambiance.
They do a good job with Louisiana-inspired dishes. Very consistent.
My go-to place for New Braunfels, for employee luncheons and business meetings.
I love McAdoo’s. Took the family for the first time and they loved it too. Great menu. U won’t have a problem finding something to eat. Fresh seafood is always good. I usually get the seafood tower salad. Historic post office building well being taken in care of here.
Wonderful brunch in a superb location (an old post office). The stuffed quail was a 5 star dish.
Always great. Love mcadoos
Creative food with high quality ingredients. Service was great thanks to our server ( Travis) who had perfect timing and command of the recipes. A delightfully pleasant find in a small town.
Food was good very nice
39th wedding anniversary
Food is always good. Service was not as good as usual. We sat in the bar because it was quieter, but our waitress ended up being the bartender and I had to go up to the bar to get refills and check. Not the norm.
Our first time here and it was awesome! Food was great! Service was great! We made a reservation and they seated us early. Will definitely go back!
Simply Awesome!! The Fried Shrimp is the bomb!!!
Each of our gruop of 9 (they squeezed one more into our reservation for 8 - no problem) LOVED the food, the place, the waitress. A wonderful day our for our monthly lunch group.
Good variety on menu. Food was just average and lukewarm. Ordered crab dip appetizer and it was barely warm and too cheesy. Enchiladas were very sour creamy and too cheesy. Definitely would not order again. Fried catfish and shrimp was just ok. Would not choose it again either. Wait staff was friendly, but very young and inexperienced. Probably would not eat here again.
The night (Monday) started with a long wait for our appetizer...apparently, the kitchen was not prepared for the first night of "Spring Break" diners. The waitperson was flustered by the situation, but recovered...manager comp-ed the appetizer. Entrees were very good...crawfish platter was a nice size of fried tails, etoufee and dirty rice. The setting is very attractive, a restored post office.
Great ambience and quicker service than I expected. Will absolutely plan on coming back as soon as possible.
Luv this restaurant. Could spend every Sat afternoon with you.
Brought my best friend here to share its charm- meals were exceptional and our waitress Heather was even more so. Wonderful experience-as usual
We live in NB and frequent McAdoos, it was hit or miss for a while, but the last two times we have gone the food was outstanding! I had oysters on the half shell, VERY GOOD, and also had their boiled crawfish, hands down BEST crawfish I had ever had and they are made to order so alive shortly after they arrive at your table. My only complaint is certain menu items are priced way too high such as their king crab legs 1 pound for close to $50 I think that’s a bit ridiculous but the crawfish was $10 a pound and the oysters are reasonable my recommendation is to go during their lunch hour. Otherwise service was great and the food was fantastic !
Enjoyable evening. Have been here many times and the food and service is very good. Menu has something for everyone and it is difficult to determine what to get. Looking forward to our next visit.
We spent lunch with friends at MaAdoos and had a very enjoyable experience. The food was good and the service was excellent.
Ordered crawfish & paid a high price for them, but they were all large sized & well seasoned & cooked. I like how they plate the crawfish with a stainless steal cover to keep them hot. House margaritas were well made too.
Whenever we're near New Braunfels it's hard not to try and eat at Mc Adoos. The food and service are always great. The atmosphere is very relaxing and nicely done.
Academy Award girl’s brunch
Excellent food and service in the quant downtown New Braunfels hot spot, the historic building has a museum feel with various piece of federal and old New Braunfels.
Food was good, except the spinach. It was too salty. The bread was fresh, still warm. The service was outstanding.
We have always enjoyed the food at McAdoo's. The service is usually just as good. That's why we were extremely disappointed with our last visit. We were in New Braunsfels celebrating our son-in-law's birthday. We wanted to give him a special birthday dinner and we thought of McAdoo's. We had plans for after dinner, which we made the waiter aware of right away. It took over 20 minutes to receive our raw oysters order and then another 30 minutes to get our meal. I was very embarrassed when everyone at the table received their food except for him. The service was so bad that the manager agreed to comp our entire check. That was certainly nice however, my son-in-law, who the dinner was in honor of, never got to eat. I really hope this was an isolated incident!
As always our food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Every time we make it to San Antonio we have at least one dinner at McAdoo’s. You’ll certainly enjoy!
Great options on the menu. I definitely recommend the Parmesan crusted trout, coconut shrimp and bread pudding. The margaritas were good too! I will visit McAdoo’s again when I’m in town.
Seated promptly. Good waiter. Nice variety of food choices. My salmon was fabulous. Easy to choose wine list. High quality reasonable pricing. Beautiful historic interior . Parking bit of challenge.
We loved the food, service and atmosphere. The buffalo oysters and mahi were amazing!
Just the kind of great first impression that will have me returning over & over - thank you!
We went here for Valentine’s Day. It was overpriced for the food, which was just ok. The waitress wasn’t sure what the special was and couldn’t recommend wine. The atmosphere is nice, but not nice enough that I care to return.
