McAdoo's Ratings and Reviews
Everything was great. John Mark and Eric were awesome. If you go for brunch I recommend the Bloody Mary bar. Oysters were a great start, crab cakes Benedict also great, and my husband raved about the chicken and waffles especially the waffles. We will be back.
The restaurant was converted from an old Post Office and has some of the original furnishings displayed (tastefully) within the restaurant. However, the new construction far exceeds the original building and has a great ambiance. Our food was delivered quickly and was of excellent quality. Our server was great and we plan to request her for our next visit. Overall, a great dining experience and value.
This place was fantastic. Me and my wife went for our anniversary/ date night while visiting New braunfels and were blown away. The food was amazing . The gumbo, red fish and mahi mahi is what we got. The sauces on the fish with crawfish and crab mixed in were amazing, definitely was one of the best gumbos I have had and even down to the bacon crumbles in the wedge salad was really great. Highly recommend this place if your in the area very busy so MAKE RESERVATIONS!!!!!
Was very happy how management really worked hard to make sure our dining experience was great. Our server was exceptional. The only thing they should include is a description of their additions. Their grilled shrimp were Cajun spiced which wasn't known prior to ordering.
Food was great, unfortunately our waiter forgot about us for most of the night and left us with empty glasses. The hostess Hannah was awesome! She did a lot of things for us that didn't fit her job description. Our waiter owes her his tip, big time. This is my second trip to Mcadoos, the first trip the service was unbelievable. I think this time we were victims of a very busy night, and we were seated in a smaller room next to a VERY loud large group. It was so loud we couldn't hear each other at all. We will be back again because the food is so good, and I think we will again have a good experience.
We're originally from the New Orleans are so finding seafood that reminds us of home is sometimes tough in the Austin area. McAdoos is at the top of our list and is definitely worth the drive. We've eaten here several times since it was recommended by a friend and have been very satisfied each and every time we've gone. Always leave looking forward to the next time.
One of the best meals and dining experiences ever including some top five star dining spots. The food is always prepared perfect, fresh and tasty. The Mexico City cocktail is the best one that I have tasted and I've tried many similar cocktails. This one beats them all. The Sea Bass is wonderful and again prepared perfectly. Service and cleanliness is over the top. We will always return for a nice meal at McAdoo's anytime in the area... long drive from Houston but just may be worth the trip.
So we got there 10 minutes before our reservation at 745, we didn't get seated until 8 but that's totally okay. We started with the Mexico city shrimp. It was so dang good yall. I'm talking 10/10. Now, I ordered shrimp etoufee, my husband ordered fried shrimp and my daughter ordered chicken fried ribeye. The fried shrimp was okay, probably the best of the entrees. Chicken dried ribeye had so much fat it was almost inedible. The shrimp etoufee, it was terrible. It had no flavor at all. Like it tasted like nothing. I ended up eating my husbands beans, they were so spicy. But had flavor. Honestly the best part was our waitress. She was so sweet. She was training another girl.
