Maya is now accepting reservations from 4:30-8:30 Tuesday through Saturday as well as curbside take out orders during the same hours. Please visit our homepage to see our updated selections daily. You will be seated six feet from each table. Please call if you require a reservation over 8 guests.

Maya does request that all guests entering the building are vaccinated for the safety of the other guests as well as staff. We ask that you opt for take away dining options if you are not fully vaccinated.

Masks are required while entering and exiting the property as well as anytime you are not seated at your table. You will have an hour and a half to enjoy your meal and company.

The food and service at Maya are excellent! The trout with beurre blanc ranks with some of the best trout I've eaten, and my husband loved the mushroom/vegetable risotto, which had a texture and richness of flavor that surprised us both. Very nice starter salad too, with peas. The setting is casual for such elegant food, but it's nice to be relaxed while dining. Very helpful server who answered various menu questions and made recommendations.

Service bringing main coarse was very slow. Seems Like they booked more than they could serve. Outside seating allowed large groups to party loadly disturbing other patrons. Food was good but there were mistakes on the side dishes.

We’ve enjoyed Maya before. Though the overall dining experience was still good, there were a few issues this time: the food portions seemed small for the price, we waited quite a while for drinks and our dinners to arrive, and the cornbread didn’t seem fresh. Still a nice meal and we’ll try Maya again….this time just seemed a little off.

This is a warm, welcoming place with a wonderful artistic vibe - from the art work to the creative food and drink choices. The carrot salad starter is a must. Even if you’re not a fan of carrots, be prepared to be amazed. And with so many creative cocktails on the list, I’m sure you could close your eyes and pick one and it would be delish. My only regret was not being able to try everything on the menu. Will definitely be back!

My husband ordered a pork chop that was dry , hard and not eatable. My risotto was bland . The service was poor but honestly we would of been ok with the lack of service if our dinner was not so poor .

The person who greeted us was very welcoming, and our server, Say, was charming, helpful with suggestions, and a bright light of joy. The food was delicious and the setting very pleasing. Cocktails were yummy and refreshing. We really enjoyed our dinner.

Maya promotes itself as offering innovative local-centric Southern cooking. We didn't really experience this. For $14 the three pimento fritters we got as an appetizer were disappointing--sitting in the sour cream sauce made their bottoms a little soggy, and they weren't hot at all perhaps spending too much time sitting under a heat lamp. My pork chop was overdone and not very well seasoned. The menu says it comes with an apple-butter bourbon glaze, but I couldn't taste it, and the onion rings added little flavor to the dish. It looked and tasted like the kind of pork chop dish you could get at any institutional hotel joint. Maya's in a lovely space and the service was mostly good. The cocktails were well-made and inventive. The wines by the glass seemed quite limited, especially for reds, and considering the locavore emphasis, there are no VA wines in their list. Wine prices were quite reasonable, though. There are a few VA beers, but only 2 on tap. I really wanted to like this place. Maya is rated highly on Eater, Google, and other online sites, so maybe we were just there on an off-night--but the food just wasn't very well made and was sort of boring.
