1 of our favorite places...good food, great service
Maxwells has amazing food. I would recommend the original philly but anything on the menu is probably awesome. My husband really loved the chicken pasta with Mom mom’s sauce. The only downfall to our visit was they were out of 3 different drink choices. For a Friday night during March Madness that was hard to believe. Could have just been an off night.
One of the best if not the best NY style pizza in the city.
Seating was horrible, we had 10 people and they put us in a huge elevated booth where we couldn't hear each other. Food was okay, but not worth the price per plate. Service was mediocre at best.
Steve our server was really attentive. The Arugala Salas with Grilled Shrimp was AMAZING, and the Pizza is ALWAYS the BEST......Thanks
Service was pathetic . . . Waitresses said that they were “slammed” . . . The place clearly was not. It was Super Bowl Sunday just before kickoff . . . The place was 2/3rds full. I’m assuming that the owner/manager would have to be grossly incompetent to understaff at a time like this . . . Maybe the waitress was just bad at her job. It seemed like a combination. The waitress never smiled and seemed annoyed 90% of the time. She would yell across the bar counter at our table to see if we needed anything. . . Usually after my drink had been empty for 25”. (I know, a tragic 1st world problem . . . 😋🤣)
Never go there again.
Good time and love the vibe of the place
We went for an early dinner and were seated right as we arrived. We had very little if any wait time. The food and beverage selection was great as it tasted. We will definitely be returning.
There was a nice variety of menu items and the pizzas were great! Looking forward to coming back for brunch
Great Food, Great Service! The restroom was horrible. Would consider not going back if the restrooms remain in such poor condition.
Food quality was mediocre, but the pizza was very good.
Service was very slow.
Lively vibe and ambience.
Would only recommend going for pizza -- pasta and salads were below average in quality and taste.
Great place, just felt rushed and it was not even busy.
Had the Italian pork sandwich with a side salad. Both were tasty and the service was excellent, however...I asked for a piece of provolone cheese on the sandwich and was charged $2. Two dollars for a piece of provolone cheese! Had I known beforehand that it would cost that much-would not have added it. I thought maybe 75 cents at the most...didn't know until the bill came. A whole package of Sargento cheese (12 pieces) is only 2.68 at the store. That was a huge turn off. If I wasn't a huge fan of their pizza, this experience would make me not want to go back.
Good food, friendly wait staff. Kitchen was slow to deliver food.
The food was average, but the price was very reasonable and the service great. Very nice for a causal sports bar like atmosphere.
We picked the wrong night, they were having serious issues with servers and only had one for the entire restaurant. The manager and others were doing their best to expedite but orders were wrong, one missing altogether, their version of an Old Fashioned was cloyingly sweet, their signature meatball was unappealing, it took three tries to get our separate checks right, not a good experience. The bright spot was the stuffed mushroom appetizer was quite good.
Service with a smile...brought my friend from Belgium to enjoy the best Chicken Parmesan on the planet with extra gravy...Maxwell's is always our go-to for dinner in SLC....
1st time visiting for our 1 year wedding anniversary and definitely will be back! Great Food, Great Service and a very vibrant atmosphere.
Made a reservation but arrived and table wasn't ready, but the hostess did everything right to make sure we were comfortable and got us a drink- Clone the hostess very valuable employee. Once we were seating we received our drinks very quickly and the food came out quickly- The General Manager came out to talk to us after he found out that there was a little trouble with our reservation to our surprise gave us a gift certificate to use on our next visit which wasn't necessary but very thankful - Great job Scott- Overall good experience and will definitely come back to try some pizza as it looked great going out to the tables.
This is a great restaurant. Food came fairly quick and it was delicious. the service was great as well. will definately come back and would refer to anyone.
The wait staff did her best but the drink and food orders took forever and they didn't seem that busy. The Manager didn't even stop be to apologize or take items off our bill.
Fantastic establishment with great food! Love their pizza and phillys!
This is my home away from home. When I am missing my Philly food this is where I like to come.
The food was actually mediocre, at best. We all 3 had different things, and they were all underwhelming. The service was actually pretty slow too. Overall, we probably would not go back.
Hard to find decent Italian food in Salt Lake. Maxwell's offers a little east coast Italian flair with family recipes at a great value.
Service was very poor. We had to track down our server every time we wanted something. We sat at our table 15 minutes before we got up and asked for someone to take our order. Will not be going back.
Horrible services. Waiting almost an hour to get drinks and food. Had to track down the manager to get assistance and was not comped anything.
If this place were really an "East Coast Eatery," it wouldn't last a month. Service was incredibly slow (half an hour for the salad to arrive, 15 minutes for a drink). Ravioli was good, actually, and salad was ok, but the red sauce was much too sweet and heavy. The server asked if I'd like meat on top, and I'd noticed that you could get "meatballs" on a pizza and so ordered them. What came was one giant, bready, meatloaf-type lump , in a separate bowl, that had to be 1/3 pound at least--and cost $9 extra; it wasn't listed or described on the menu (unless several of these giant things are what one gets on a pizza) and he didn't describe it--just sold it to me and charged me. None of the house red wines was available ("oh, we're out," he said blithely) and he tried to sell me a $13 glass instead--at what is essentially a pizza joint. Will be warning my friends who have lived in the east that this is NOT anything like a real Italian joint back there--except maybe a low-rent one.
We waited nearly 30 min for our check but every other time we've been here it's been a great experience
Chicken parm one of the best ever. Featured on diners, drive ins and dives, but it's not a diner, drive in or a dive. Exceeded expectations
Waitress was super attentive!
Started good, but quickly went downhill. Extensive alcohol menu, but when we ordered a tequila selection, we were eventually told they were out of it. When asked about other another respasado, we were told nothing but "silver" was in stock. Lame
Food took 25 min after ordered to arrive, and was not worth wait. After all this, they tried to over charge us for the tequila shots!
Good place for 22 year olds to hook up, but not recommended for anything else . . .
Great meal. We had the servers recommended meals that evening. Branzino Fish, filleted table side, and the Fish stew. Waitress was Zoe great service!
Scott the manager knew one of my friends and spoiled us with appetizers that were beyond delicious! The service was fantastic, every bite perfect, and our entire girls dinner was amazing.
Good meal. Great service.
Great service and food!
The food and service are always great! Fat kid pizza is the way to go!
Great place for group dinner. Everyone enjoyed their food.
8:00pm reservation for party of 12 for over-40 birthday celebration, dining and dancing. Awesome food, nice party atmosphere. Music was loud club dance music - remix/mashup. Dance crowd was early to mid- 20s group. Would go back for food but go somewhere else for dancing.
Great food and great setting. Loved the environment and the service. Definitely going back!!
