Max Brenner's food never disappoints although the hostess staff and the noise levels seem to get worse with each visit. We wish that somehow the company would realize and separate the restaurant into two distinctly different dining experiences and put up partitions to reduce the issue with the noise at least. Having dessert only and dinner guests separated may make it easier for the front desk to more accurately accommodate reservations to their start times.

The food was amazing; however, the dessert was a bit of a letdown, especially considering its focus on chocolate. Next time we will steer clear of the churros.

A friend and I took our daughter for a pre-theater dinner. The food, portion size and service was mediocre at best. Location was good as it is in close proximity to the theaters. We had high expectations based on recommendations from other people and were very disappointed in our experience. We will never go back. Too expensive for the value.

We went for dinner. We ordered milkshakes which were very scrumptious. We ordered the chicken fettuccine and the cheesesteak waffle. Normally, we would have had dessert since we love their fondue and their sundaes, but we were quite full from dinner. We were seated quickly and our waitress was attentive. We would definitely go here again, but try to be hungry and ready to get their amazing desserts.

Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate...what else does one need to say?
The burgers were very good; I had the Blue cheese bacon burger and it was cooked perfectly; I had asked for extra mushrooms...it was like a whole basement full of mushrooms.
Great drinks, and of course dessert. We shared a regular fondue (4 of us), but could have used more things to dip...we did ask for spoons and ate the leftover dipping sauces.

All in all, a wonderful place.

Husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. Drinks were great, burgers were awesome and servers were very attentive. Noise on a Saturday evening was deafening so make sure you can lip read. Wait time upwards of 2 hrs without a reservation, so do yourself a favor and make one. Otherwise great experience, would definitely go back.

I have been to Max Brenner for quiet a few times and never thought of writing a review. This time i had to because the service was crappy. The waitress who was serving us, had a huge attitude. Not sure why but she needs to learn how to serve people.

I understand some days are bad days and thats okay. As a customer I give her the benefit of doubt of having a bad day. But when the customer is being friendly and nice then it is the responsibility of the server to atleast have a smile.

Anyways forget about the smile and everything. She kept us waiting for more than 10 mins to take away our finished plates. She was standing and talking to other servers and one of them even told her that your table is waiting but she didnt bother. So we requested another server to take away our plates so that we can start with our dessert. When She sees the other server taking away the plates thats when she goes behind him to help him out.

We finished our chocolate heart cake dessert and was waiting for her to lit the coal for our fondue. Again it took us more than 10 mins. She was standing right there talking to other servers but wouldnt look at us. We had to call her twice and request her to lit the coal.

This is not expected at Max Brenner. Extremely disappointed. We still left her 18% tips as we did not want to take away her earning.

First time eating at this restaurant. The food was very interesting and very good. the wings were delicious. My cheesesteak on waffles was really good. As a cheesesteak lover I found it refreshingly different and very tasty. The desserts are also unique. If you like chocolate try the syringe chocolate. Pure chocolate squeezed in the mouth through a large syringe. I had the banana split on waffles which was excellent. This place is very noisy so don't plan a quiet dinner or lunch because it is very difficult to talk. Although an everything chocolate restaurant it is not as child friendly as you might expect. Our server was very good. But the hostess was not very friendly and had an attitude when we wanted to change our table . I believe it is the place everyone should try at least once

Good service, dessert was disappointing and the reason for our visit. WAY TOO LOUD. Wait for bathroom took up a good portion of our time. Good food. Great waiter (Steve I think). Won't return because of noise level.

Lunch was luscious.

My friend & I were here for a birthday lunch.

A lovely plate came over w/Happy Birthday in chocolate.

We had the best burgers..& fries..& then an obscene chocolate dessert that was heavenly

Love this place!

We made reservations and enjoyed a late lunch. My son had a cheese steak on a waffle, while my sister and i enjoyed flank steak on a crepe, we all shared the onion rings as an appetizer. My chocolate martini, the 80s milk shake, peach lemonade were yummy! our waitress was very sweet and attentive.

We had an amazing server, great atmosphere and delicious and filling food! It was our anniversary and I let them know when I made my reservation. I asked for it to be a surprise, we were so stuffed and she didn't want dessert...but our server offered free chocolates and then wrote happy anniversary on the plate and made it nice and presentable with several savory chocolates. I was more than pleased and so was my new wife. I would recommend this little gem to anyone and everyone! Thank you for giving us an amazing start to our celebration weekend :)

I've heard about this place from friends and always wanted to bring my twins here for a fun dinner. Everything went smooth from the host stand to our awesome server- Kat. My seven year olds loved their meal (chicken tenders with the little paint brush for their ketchup). They loved the ambiance with chocolate everywhere- they were in heaven! Dessert was also awesome and they took advantage of it being the "messy" option. The staff was simply awesome, a nice casual vibe from them and the food was delicious! This is one of my new favorite spots so we will be back!

Food and service were fantastic. Took my two girls there before seeing Wicked at the Academy of Music. Highly recommend any one of the mac & cheese dishes – they were amazing. Of course, topping off a delicious dinner with any type of chocolate concoction sets a positive tone for the rest of the evening.

Have not been here in awhile..more little kids than adults usually noise LOUD..

Thought we'd give it a try again, always liked the food.

The waitress was not too good. A young black girl, never smiled, talked very low had to repeat every word. Told her a few times "Cannot understand 1 word you are saying"

Asked for water, then she started cleaning a table when I asked for straws, so I caught another waitress...& then awhile later, she came w/straws.
Never refilled the glasses til we were 5 min. from getting the check.

We wanted dessert but she vanished,so my friend said, "Let's go across the street for cheesecake"
Which was a better idea even though we were insane for chocolate..not worth the wait..

Asked for a piece of bread, after sitting awhile & working all day, no time ot eat... the salads were $15. Said you don't gert bread. Told her I'd pay for it.
Never came out,,,til the salad came w/the bread on top

Food good, lousy service..
