First time experiencing this at a brunch place. The food overall was delicious.

He was fun, kind, and welcoming. Thank you Isaiah!!! So the food was pretty awful.... Old and tired looking is the best way to describe it. Burgers were very greasy, sandwich not crunchy and crisp, waffle fries were ok but the little sauce cups had a "skin" on them. Hot cocoa was espresso size...why? The only really tasty item and IT was REALLY tasty was the warm cookie dessert served with ice cream. So go there for the dessert but not for dinner.

                                                                                                                                                            We had reservations (party of 4) and had two 3-year-olds with us. Took 30 minutes to get our drinks, over an hour to get our food (and not all food came out- what did come out, came out at different times). At the 1 hour and 20 minute mark there was a literal fight in the kitchen (we were seated about 10 feet from the door). The place wasn't busy but cleared out pretty quickly. We stayed because we had to pay. No one came back to our table (like I said, I don't blame the server- he was doing his best, but the kitchen seemed off). We finally asked the hostess if we could pay, and she said she'd get a manger. 10 minutes later the hostess came back (they took one of the meals we didn't get off) and I paid. I asked the hostess to confirm the server would receive the tip. She said yes multiple times. I overtipped the server, because I felt bad for him- then another table stopped us outside the restaurant and said our server was removed from the restaurant, so not sure how the tip situation is working out. No manager came over. No one apologized. I am very understanding, but the table that stopped us on the street told us their meal was comped. We were sitting close to the fight WITH 2 small children and were there way longer (and never got everything we ordered), and nothing was comped or anything. This was the most uncomfortable dining experience ever, and that was my last time at Max Brenner.

The food took 45 minutes after ordering. 2. There was a huge fight between the cook and the waiter. I was afraid one of them was going to take out a gun! 3. French Fries was the side: There were only 2 fries on the dish.. The only plus: Our waiter truly tried to do his best even with everything going on in the restaurant. SAD

The only complaint I had was the size of the tables are ridiculously small and they one on top the other ones. I’m a big boy and I appreciate having some space. I will definitely coming back.

Dwight was awesome, the atmosphere was up beat and fun. The food was yummy, but the European fondue is a must for the toffee sauce alone!!! They really need to bottle that up and sell it! The chocolate fondue was great. My BALT (bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato) was good but only had one piece of lettuce and a couple thin slices of tomato so it was mostly ciabatta… my recommendation is to pile it on and it’ll go from good to great. And the restaurant is in need of updating.

Even though they were low on the non-dairy products for our coffee, the customer service was top notch and our waiter / waitress was very very energetic. Can’t wait to come back for dessert! From the tea service to the Classic European Fondue, eating there is an experiential journey. Sharing the Mac and Cheese and the fondue just makes us happy. Tonight we saw a mom and her two daughters absolute joy expressed while eating their desserts. Love this place.

The only thing I had an issue with is… when they bring you the check it shows at the bottom of the check the percentages of the amount you show tip. One for 18%, 20%, 25% and 30%. That tip percentage is based off the dollar amount of the items you purchased not including the tax amount. But when I gave the servicer my credit card to pay, the server came by with an iPad to sign and tap a button to include the 4 options of tip percentages. On the iPad the tip percentages were different than the actual paper I received before handing the server my credit card. These buttons had tip percentages that included the taxed dollar amount. I’m all about tipping for service, but Customers should not be tipping on the taxed dollar amount. I pointed this out to the server and he told me that the discrepancy on the iPad must be the tax and actual purchase amount instead of the actual dollar amount of the item that I purchased. He advised me to just go ahead and do a custom tip amount that would just be 20% of the actual purchase and not the taxed Dollar amount as well. I thought this was very sneaky on Max Brenner‘s part. Customers should never be required to tip on tax. Just keep an eye out.

                                                                                                                                                            Had 3:30 reservation for 3 people for after show @ Academy of Music. Stopped in prior to going to the theater to have time pushed back after learning show would not be until at least 3:30. We were graciously accommodated and all 3 enjoyed our meal. This was about our 5th or 6th visit to Max Brenner, 2 of which were with young granddaughters who loved it.

One an Oreo milkshake, the other a thick Italian hot chocolate. If you are into comfort food with an additional longing for chocolate, this is the place to go.
