Daughter’s 16th Birthday
Went for a birthday dessert it was good for dessert for sure!!
Very loud...and next time I am skipping dinner and going right for dessert. We had the chocolate chip cookie sundae...it was awesome!!
Food was good. Seating arrangement was a little awkward. But overall - fine experience.
Everything was great ! From apps to desserts , this is a great place !
My husband and I had a date and Max Brenner's. The food (dinner and dessert was really good). The only thing I am not crazy about is how the restaurant is set up, you are almost on top of the people next to you. I highly recommend.
Wow! First time eating here and the experience was incredible. Amazing and attentive waitress through out the night. The location has a fascinating design. Dessert was beyond my expectations!
Everything we ordered was cold. The cheesesteak waffle was cold. The mac and cheese was cold. The chocolate fondue was heated by a tea candle, and as such, was cold. I would have complained, but the waitress hardly ever stopped by the table, and by the time she came around, we just wanted out of there. I heated it up at home in the oven, and it just wasn't very good food.
The restaurant was cold.
Kids spilled a hot chocolate while we were there, and it was apparently up to me to go grab a cleaning towel and spritzer to clean the table and chairs, since the waitress wasn't paying attention at all. Took over 5 minutes for her to show up at the table for the first time, despite a relatively empty restaurant.
Everything is overpriced, and the chocolate was kind of gross in my opinion. I'm not sure what the appeal here is, but it was far from just an "off night."
We came here for mother's day, and our experience was great. The food was very good, the milkshakes and dessert fondue were delicious. The table split some waffle fries. I got an 80s milkshake and the breakfast burrito, and it was too much for me to finish. Though, I made room for the fondue dessert!
Will be back
Poor service and didn’t get a flower like the other moms
They seated us at a high top when plenty of tables were available and the table was uneven and spilled everything.
Waitress was never there and food was not the best
Not a good mother’s day meal and won’t be back
Had to keep asking for things which is bad
Bathroom was disgusting and over flowing....only two toilets and TP all over floor and toilets full...
Great place to go with kids! Drinks were amazing service great
The food was amazing. The hot chocolate, the milkshakes and the mimosa was outstanding. We all left very happy! One of the best Mother’s Days I’ve had.
Great service, we enjoyed Mother’s Day Brunch.
Our experience with the kids was good. Service was nice and attentive. We came for breakfast. Food did not blow me away, but it was solid. Would come back to try some of the other offerings.
I am happy you introduced more food items. They were good selections and also tasted good.
This is not a place for a nice dinner downtown. Food was so so. Very cramped and very noisy atmosphere.
Desserts were pretty fantastic if that’s all you’re going for tho. The crepe I had was delicious and my daughters sundae could have fed 3 people.
Great for kids and families!! Very create kids menu! Cobb salad and burger were great!
Our waitress Julia was so prompt and kind and we will definitely be back! Food was great, portions were huge but we got dessert anyway because its MAX BRENNERS!
Food (Max Benedict) was good and service was superb! However, the overall experience was diminished by the sticky floors and tables. Furthermore, the Chocolate Pancake dish was very underwhelming - for the price, we expected more (both in taste and quantity).
We had burger and flatbread. Just ok.
Classic fondue for dessert is highly overrated and small for the price $24.
Service was slow and food was not as good as the Max Brenner in NYC.
A chocoholics dream! The food was good, our service was excellent. The food came quickly and was delicious. The waffle fries were great.
Service was better than best.... :)
Awesome Waffles, Ice Cream and Waffle Fries
Pizza(tomato pie) not as expected
Amazing, as always. Only negative is that the banana in my crepe was very over-ripe and not very tasty. Generally, though, another great visit :)
16 Birthday desert
We had a very good breakfast on. Sunday morning. Food was good. Staff seemed frazzled. Would return as the chocolate is amazing.
Loved the atmosphere and all the really fun desserts and shakes. The food was delicious and filling. The server was outstanding. We are not from Philly but would absolutely come back should we be in the area again.
Service was great, Casey was amazingly attentive, food was delicious
The manager helping my 3 year old pick out chocolates was so sweet and helpful! And our waitstaff was also really great. The kids love it there.
They were very nice about me and my friends being a few minutes late to the reservation! Very nice workers
service was not as good as in the past. served our items at all different times with desserts taking a while. My crepe was good but not what I expected based on the description wished I picked something else.
Great service. Small tables. Prices are ok. Food is good but not great. It really is very family friendly.
We went for my son’s birthday party. Only downfall for 2 of us is the menu not offering any chocolate items we can eat being paleo. The server did a great job taking care of us. My son and his friend enjoyed the experience of painting ketchup on their food and eating a chocolate shot. My biggest complaint would be that parking is validated. Being in such a busy crowded city we had to use a parking garage. We picked the one directly next to Max’s. We took a total of about an hour and 15 min to eat, dessert and get back to our car. Our parking bill was $31. INSANE! We traveled from about 60 minutes away so to have some sort of credit with parking would have been nice. The server told me the week prior to our visit the restaurant stopped validating parking. Unfortunately that part will keep us from returning for a second visit.
Excellent for brunch. My granddaughters love to go here after a show or the orchestra.
Good dinner awesome dessert just as expected. Really diverse menu for both.
Our food was very very good. Our server was amazing. Made some great suggestions. The waffle cheese steak sandwich was great. We also had the chicken pineapple pizza, a burger, and the bacon Mac and cheese. All very good. The desserts were amazing as well. No complaints other than it poured that day, nothing the restaurant could help. Would recommend this 100 percent.
Fun for kids. Delicious chocolate. Our waitress Brittany was great. Food was better then average.
Delicious- great service - can’t wait to go back. Chicken cheesesteak waffle was amazing!
Easter Sunday brunch special because of the unusual menu including chocolate in most dishes and drinks. Very cheerful and attentive server added to the festivities. Made me want to return soon.
