This time we went just for dessert, and oh my God. We did the sharing fondue which was like a dessert sampler. It was all amazing, but the cheesecake crepe was better than it has any right to be. Also loved the chocolate martini. Yum!
The food was really good & its so different to other restaurants, this is why we enjoyed it for our special occasion.
The restaurant itself was freezing, we had to keep our jackets on. We did mention it to the staff, but it didn't change.
Had a great dining experience. Food was hot when brought to the table. Our only complaint was we had to wait awhile after requesting the check be brought to the table and closed out.
The food was amazing and the service was wonderful.
Birthday didn’t sing happy birthday had hair in food
The service was not great. I like the waiter but he didn’t come to our table a lot. Desserts are great. Dinner and lunch menu is good but I recommend for a lunch. Pricing is fair. Seating atrocious sometimes.
The service and food was on point. The music was a good compliment until it was turned up really loud. Another customer complained about the loudness. The restaurant catered towards family not late night drinking. Thank you!
food couldve been better but our waiter was amazing
Went here for my daughter's birthday and loved everything about it. Wonderful chocolate martini, excellent flat bread and the desserts were absolutely heavenly!
Max Brenner is a favorite spot! Great food, good atmosphere and good service. Each time is always a treat.
I had a lot of fun! We were there to celebrate my younger cousin's birthday and had a lot of desserts!
very mediocre food and lackluster service. my kid was very excited to go here but was underwhelmed. The atmosphere was fun.
Food was great! The atmosphere was different. After a while the sugar hit us and we started slowing down our eating.
It’s been a while since I’ve been here. It was a Friday night so of course it was busy. It’s always good to make a reservation when dining here. On this occasion, we were just here for dessert. My dessert was simple, a chocolate chip cookie on a hot skillet topped with vanilla ice cream and a chocolate shell. It was pretty good. Not bad for $10. My friend ordered an Oreo hot chocolate, which ended up being too sweet for both of our palates and the tiramisu in a jar, which she ended up barely touching because it wasn’t what she expected.
We both have been here multiple times for the regular menu and dessert. The regular menu is pretty good and depending on what you order off of the dessert menu, most items are pretty good. I will be back sometime in the future for my chocolate fix.
Servers were nice but way understaffed because everything from menus, to food to drinks to getting the bill took forever. Average food - this could simply have been what I had because my friend liked his dish. But we both thought the margaritas were awful.
The server took her sweet time coming around, and we had to wait for about 25 min before drinks were delivered. If she were trying to move quickly, I would have understood, but she walked like she was on vacation in the Bahamas. She was also testy when asked specifics of the drinks....
The other thing was how disgusting the bathrooms were! Like the way you expect to experience a Port-a-John.
... Other than that, the food was pretty good.
It was good but had to wait 15 minutes. Wasn’t appreciated since I had made a reservation.
Great food, chocolates lovers paradise, a very fun and light experience!
Very slow getting food. They always say " kitchen is backed up", But, it's really all about the chocolate.
It was our first time there. I live on Long Island and has friends visiting from ILlinois,Cali and Arizona. Everyone loved it. The food was delicious... and the desserts. There are no words.
Disappointed we were seated upstairs and not in the main restaurant. There was only 3 of us, and lower level looked wide open. Not a way to treat a tourist who books for the ambiance of the place. Open table booking a week or two in advance should have given us better access.
I had the cobb salad. It wasn't filling but that was okay because I came for the dessert. I was not disappointed. My party tried the different waffle sundaes and it was worth every calorie. As a warning the waffle sundae is a single waffle on the menu picture but they brought out a double. It was an unexpected surprise. I am ready to go back and try other things on the dessert menu.
It was my first time at Max Brenner with my boyfriend. It was his birthday so I thought why not go get chocolate wasted? The food was so good! We had his new favorite Mac and cheese as I had steak with potatoes! And if you’re a steak lover you will love the flavors there food brings you! We also had the chocolate fondue tower! You have to get it if it’s your first time 😍. Wonderful experience with the service and food! Definitely coming again
Food was hardly edible. Fondue was freezing cold. Sorry to say but the food was really awful.
Great service. Very friendly and helpful with menu selections. Service was fairly fast and about what is normal. Food very good and better than expected. Dessert was just amazing. Fun place to eat. Totally kid friendly, but just as many "kids-at-heart" eating there as well.
Our drinks were very slow- after our meal
The dessert was disappointing- it was not as described
The flatbread was good though
Our waiter seemed as if he didn't want to be there, and moved very lazy with our service. The food was amazing! I definitely will go to the one in Philadelphia.
Everything we hoped for and more! The ambience, food, myriad of choices, and playful creations make this a favorite!
Services was very slow. Food was good.
I like coming here. Service and food has been good. Brunch is excellent.
The closing server, i wanna say “Frank”, he’ll know, was amazing! 10/10 will come back to see him and eat here.
Waited 30 minutes even though we had reservations and the host staff was incredibly rude and dismissive. Food is ok but not worth it. Will not be coming back.
Great for dessert. Mediocre for dinner. Very very loud especially upstairs where we were seated.
My husband and I have been coming here for years even though we live here and it is a bit touristy. We love the S’mores sundae and the mac and cheese with chicken, as well as the BBQ chicken pizza. I am also a big fan of the boozy peach lemonade!
Food is disgusting and the place is overall disorganized
Our server was ok
But they need some serious training and organizational skills
Great food and experience!
We were actually asked to move mid-meal to accommodate a larger party. I've never had this experience before in a restaurant, which the manager upon discussion told me was "a common practice." The annoyance of the request was exacerbated by the facts that we were placed upstairs after requesting a table downstairs (the staff was quite disordered and didn't seem to know what they were doing) AND we were about 10 minutes away from finishing our meals when the request was made. We had already ordered dessert. The restaurant could have just brought out our dessert ASAP and we would have paid the check and left. I have had to wait for a table many times in the past while another party finishes their experience and know that this is actually a common practice but to ask us to change our table was unacceptable. The manager offered to take care of our check but in my opinion the whole experience was ruined and I didn't go there to have a free meal. I went there to have a good dining experience. Overall the food was average but the service was slow and we saw another altercation about service while we were there. If you value service, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
Service could have been much better, food took a while to come to the table and waiter was hard to get ahold of
It was my daughters birthday. She had fun! Thx!
Overall a good experience. The waitstaff was a little slow and the bathrooms needed attention. The food was great!
