When I arrived, it was really packed as expected. However I did not expect as many rude customers. I felt really bad for the staff but they all handled it well. We got seated right away, everyone was very nice, they were very accommodating by sitting us on the second floor. We got our food right away and our waiter was very attentive. As always though, a great experience and always a good date night.
Came here after a big dinner with my daughter for dessert. Huge portions and we were overwhelmed. Waiter suggested sharing a small melting cake with whipped cream and strawberries. Delicious and perfect size.
Good food GREAT CHOCOLATE!!!
We were a group of six. We all enjoyed our delicious meals...
The deserts were incredible! My favorite was the crepe.
This was amazing! The dessert was great and the Mac n cheese was to die for! If we went again, I would share the mac n cheese and save room for dessert. Highly recommend.
Great food, especially desserts! But I guess waiters were very busy, we were waiting soooo long just to get our cocktails . But overall it was a good experience
Come here for the chocolatey goodness of their desserts!
Celebrated a sweet 16 with amazing desserts. We love this place been here many times & plan on coming back again.
I had made reservations on Open Table for 6:30 for 10 to celebrate my sons graduation. They were very accommodating when we arrived an hour earlier. We were seated on the second floor and we were very happy with the welcoming. When there was a mistake in the order, and a plate was not delivered, it was rectified quickly, and while arriving at the table quickly, it was also removed from our check. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Great food, creative dessert ! Good for all ages, all groups and occasions! Even just a casual lunch ! Took my boyfriend for his birthday we both loved It ! Recommend It for anyone !!
loved the chocolate martinis as always. the mac and cheese was also great (and so heavy!). This is always a great place to come to for a chocolate fix
The food and service were amazing I took my boyfriend for his birthday and he loved it! Would definitely come back
We were a party of 5 and forced to squeeze into a 4 top. I had to sit in the isle at the end of the table. Not the best food or service. Appetizers and main course came at the same time. Flank steak was a bit tough for a Medium. Blue moon came in a bottle, instead of in a glass with orange slice. Need to pay attention to the details that make dining out worth it. Nonetheless we tipped a generous 30% because that’s what we do!
Absolutely wonderful service! Our Sharing Fondue ($25) was amazing...until it spilled over quite a bit. Management honored their word and provided the table with a free-of-charge replacement!
We had eaten here before and loved it as a casual kid-friendly restaurant. This time our meal was BAD! We did not eat 3 of our 4 dishes and the chocolate martini was not drinkable. The manager tried to accommodate us by giving free fondue dessert, which was excellent. But, honestly, unless it is for dessert only we will not come back. It was disappointing since it was Mother's Day.
Had a lot to be desired regarding cleanliness and comfort. Menus were dirty and battered. Tables were uneven and sticky. Chocolate martini s while delicious did not have much alcohol. Food was surprisingly good given how nasty the rest was. Waitress was great.
My family and I have gone to Max Brenner several times, and we are always blown away by the delicious menu selection, the friendly staff, and great atmosphere. I highly recommend it to dessert lovers; their chocolate selection is simply exquisite. A special thank you to Max Brenner's hostesses, waitresses, and chefs! We had a wonderful time!
Food was very good . Drinks were one of the best I ever had . Waiters were nice but we had to wait for a long time . Overall wonderful place .
Great Brunch! They were very accommodating and made sure all food allergies were noted.
I went for Mother's Day brunch with my mom, aunt and sister this past Sunday. The establishment wasn't all that busy; I reserved the table for 10:15 AM. First off, no utensils on the table, secondly the food came to the table all cold, and got even colder when we were waiting for our server to come over so we can ASK for utensils. I mean he was friendly and all; and like I said there were a lot of empty tables, and it really wasn't THAT busy. Food was alright flavor full, but it was a "eh" experience.
Fun place with wonderful desserts and excellent friendly service.
Despite booking we had to wait 25 minutes, then we were assigned a table on the boring upper floor right next to all the dishes. The noise level was extremely high and the service was slow. We saw many guests leaving the restaurant. The only positive was the dessert which was very good.
A super fun experience. Loved the variety in chocolate dishes!
Really mediocre service but it’s still a fun place. The food is actually not bad for a big touristy chain and the desserts are really good.
fun time great people
We all really like chocolate, good chocolate like Scharffen Berger, Valharona, and other dark artisanal chocolates. We were a little worried when most of the things came in milk. It was a sort of Disneyland gimmicky chocolate restaurant. If you're looking for something like that and you like milk chocolate you'll like it. If you like really good chocolates, I don't recommend it. It was disappointing, however I admit I misunderstood the restaurant and it was mostly user error.
Would recommend better seating for a group of 3. We sat in a booth with one small table. It wasn’t enough space for all of our food. The seating was close to the doors to the kitchen and all the smoke coming from the kitchen caused me to sneeze profusely. Other than that, I enjoyed my time there.
This is a fantastic restaurant. I wanted to prompose here and the waitesses and managers all helped very much and were really into it and made it the best time ever. Highly recommended
Went there for my daughter's birthday. Got there 15 minutes earlier than our reservation & were seated right away. Saw several tables get their food despite ordering after us. Somehow our table got lost in the shuffle. Our waiter was very apologetic. The place is cramped--very tight seating. Could look cleaner too. My food was good (quinoa salad). Really went there for the chocolate! Hot chocolate was excellent. My daughter loved her candy bar in a jar. I didn't care for the chocolate chip cookies or chocolate sponge cake in the classic fondue. The fruit & marshmallows were great with the toffee & chocolate dipping sauces.
Decadent, fun brunch. Not a place you'd call to all the time, but every once and a while, it is a great treat!
Good, food selection could be better and healthier
Loved our waiter was amazing!
The chocolate martini was so good I ended up getting 3 and being too full to get dessert. But my son got the chocolate chuck pizza with marshmallows and peanut butter and he looked like he was in heaven eating it. The service was okay. Not great but i didn't need to complain to management. Our server just kept walking past us saying he'd be right back. It was hard to catch him.
Took the kids here in their first NYC trip, good value for the city. Easy night out!
Charles was very friendly and overall it was nice.
food was great and filling, but my table hardly got checked on and it wasn’t busy at all. service was meh at best but it might have been because my friends and I are young and we don’t look like the type to tip accordingly. Nevertheless, we would go again for the food, but hopefully we get taken care of better
Overall the food was good. The burger was on point and the waffle fries were amazing. The dark 80’s milkshake was to die for. I was disappointed in the freshness of the strawberries for the fondue. You could tell they were kind of old. They were turning colors and had the slimy texture on the outside like they’d been beat up and rolling around the fridge for a while.
The place was nice I ordered Buffalo Wings with a side of Barbecue Sauce the wings were burnt on the outside but it taste good on the inside. The place served also served Cheeseburger with Waffle Fries they did not have regular French Fries and it is right across the street from the train station.
