very cute place to go to for special occasions. I only recommend it for dessert. the food options arent the best. very fun alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks though
If you love chocolate, this is the place!! Yum 😋
The food was amazing, but too expensive. Nice environment, not loud, and family friendly. Overall, really good!
Our waitress was way too busy. She stopped at our table once to ask us how everything was. But then she was no where to be found when we were going to order dessert and a drink. She also kept us waiting for the check.
Arrived a bit early for seating. Host sat us down and our server attended us. It took us 50 minutes to receive our food and by the time we received it the food was cold. There were others that arrived lathen than us who were attended much quicker and whose food came out before ours. Our server disappeared until she brought us the check. I camr here once before and had a better experience. This time i was disappointed with the customer service and the food provided.
Great friendly place. I do recommend to everyone!!!!
Only thing I was displeased with is they forgot to sing for my daughter’s birthday. I included a note it was her birthday when I made the reservation, I told the waitress when we sat down and then reminded the waitress when we were ordering dessert. However, someone from the kitchen brought the dessert, lit the candle and then left. I was disappointed because we heard people all around being sung to and I think my daughter was disappointed.
Excellent food, service, all around great night!! We will definitely be back again !!
We shared these two plates for 3 person, and became full.
I bring my sister every year for her birthday. It gets better and better every year! Everything is so delicious!
I was really impressed overall. The staff and service was great from the moment we walked in. Good prices and atmosphere made for a pleasant evening.
Waitress was excellent! Left a nice tip
Very fun and cool ambiance for a chill get together
good was super good — noise level was high but that’s expected in a busy restaurant. would come again, definitely for dessert!
We had reserved a table for our daughter and friend, celebrating their 16th birthdays, along with friends. Reserving through OpenTable was easy and convenient. We received a confirmation call from the delightful hostess the day of the event - another plus. But when we arrived, the hostess was not welcoming or helpful. She said she couldn't find our reservation, and when I pointed to a table set up for 8 with a "reserved" sign, right behind her, she glanced over and shrugged and said "that may be it." The other birthday girl's mother had asked if she could bring a cake, and talked to the kitchen manager who said it was ok. The hostess spoke sharply to the girl, saying she couldn't bring it in. I had to intervene with an email from the mother confirming the discussion. She left the girls waiting past the reservation start time, despite the table being available - never said Happy Birthday or made eye contact with them, and only seated them after I approached again. Once seated, the girls, who were all dressed up, respectful and polite, waited a very long time for a waiter, had to request utensils as some were missing, and had to ask a few times for extra plates to share their entrees. We ate at the bar, and the service only picked up when their waiter came by and I mentioned they were with us. The bar service was excellent, by the way, and the food was tasty and well priced. The chocolate fondue dessert was delicious and a big hit, as was a sparkler the waiter supplied for the cake. But, we paid for a very large bill at the end feeling quite dissatisfied with the way the girls were treated. It was a big night in Boston for them for a special occasion, and they were treated as a nuisance for most of the evening. Just a few changes could have made all the difference - a smile, one less eye roll, a couple of additional check-ins to the table to see if they had everything they needed. So, a 3 from us Max Brenner.
A little loud. Our food came out cold so we had to send it back. Service is pretty slow
Very good for desserts! I’m not sure it would be a good place for a romantic dinner as it was very loud and very crowded.
Food is good. Desserts is their speciality!
We were seated in the back of the restaurant and waited almost 15 minutes before asking if we had a server assigned to us. The restaurant is also very loud which makes it difficult to hear the other people in your party. However, the food was really great!
Loved the hot chocolate with the Hug Mug and the chocolate fondue with fruit!
A very fun experience!
food was solid but nothing outstanding. the waffle fries were great but mac and cheese was a bit bland
Loved the concept and quality of the chocolate and other items, however the two servers we had were young and not very insightful. We asked for the story behind Max Brenner or who he was and she responded that she thinks it’s two people. The first sever was busy talking to some guy (not a customer) just sitting at the table next to us and then passed us on. Lastly, it took well over 10 mins (restaurant barely full) for a server to come take a drink order.
The place was nice & the ambiance was what you'd expect being across the street from the Prudential.
The value was okay, the chocolate fondue was great, but we ordered the $25 platter to share among 4 people and ordered extra fruit and cookies because what it came with wasn't enough.
Would be a cute place for a date :)
Hot chocolate really wasn’t worth $6 save your money and make it at home with Swiss miss or Hersey’s!
Went here for our daughters 21st birthday. Excellent service and the food and drinks were amazing! The service was quick, cooked exactly as it should have been, and the server was very attentive. Would definitely go back!
Loved our server Stephanie! We had a phenomenal anniversary brunch! Thank you MB!
The restaurant seems more like a chain than I thought it would.
Very slow service. Asked numerous times for our drinks. Appetizers came out before drinks. When we told the food runner he told us to deal with the server. Who then took the appetizer and left at wait station and brought back to us, cold, when drinks were delivered. Salad was missing ingredients. Squeezed into a tight space when many open areas were available. Bathrooms were also disgusting.
The spicy hot chocolate was amazing!
I will definitely be returning.
Tight seating area, service slow, food just ok, not a value for the money.
Didn’t seat us for 30 mins even with reservation
We went for my daughter’s 7th Birthday and had a wonderful experience! Juan the Manager made the night extra special by sending her a beautiful birthday dessert. We will be back for sure!
I LOVE CHOCOLATE SO THIS IS NATURALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES. FONDUES ARE AMAZING!!
We had a reservation and as we got there the restaurant was completely empty so we asked if we could have a bigger table since we had heavy winter coats with us and they Gabe’s a tiny little table on the corner. The waiter came back with a girl that told us that they were booked and those tables were for other people. Again, the restaurant was completely empty and we sat there for while and no one came back to check on us for quite sometime. We left and they didn’t acknowledged that.
So many delicious options here! We went with the fondue. I wish there was more fruit with it, but it was definitely fun! And will be sure to do again!
waitress messed up dessert order and food order. food was kinda saugy and cold, so it was clearly sitting in the food window a little while. however this place is great for dessert with a range of different options.
Our server Jane was very friendly and made great conversation while giving us fast, quality service
My girlfriend had never gone before and I haven't been since I was in college and we both agreed on just getting one of the chocolate fondue dishes for lunch and Skip regular food since we already ate that earlier.
Really disappointed in the experience. I had never heard of Max Brenners but looked for a place that kids might have fun and this restaurant came up. It had good reviews so figured we would give it a shot.
First, the service is pretty horrible. It was not busy at all, if it were I could maybe understand. The waitress took 15 minutes to take our drink order, then forgot a drink entirely. Then when she took the food order she didn't write anything down, no big deal but we had a few minor changes (a hamburger rather than a cheeseburger and no sauce on the burger). When the order came out it was wrong and the kids chicken tenders and fries were cold. We wanted to tell her but she disappeared for 20 minutes.
For what you pay, there are plenty of restaurants in Boston to choose from where you will get good food and great service.
I would only recommend coming here if you only want dessert and nothing further.
Chocolate fixes everything!!!
First round of food came out cold as if it was sitting out for 20 min. The waitress brought it back and brought us fresh ones. The crepes were too slimy for my liking and the skillet cookie is more meant for children. It was just sugar and chocolate, no depth or thought out into it. Eh, waste of calories. The waitresses were constantly huddled in the corner on their phones and ours only stopped at our table twice within the hour we were there aside from the times we had to flag her down. There are tons of places I would recommend before this place.
