Food = delicious and fresh. Decor and furniture = sketchy. Most things on drink and food menu were not available (only menu in this app was particularly inaccurate). But I repeat: food was yummy!
The food was very cold , I wanted my meal to be very hot ( spicy ) , it came very mild . when we asked for the desert menu the waiter told us they only have ice cream !!! it was my first visit and definitely will be the last one to this place .
The food was good, and was better than I had anticipated, after reading some of the reviews. The furniture was shabby and the leather covering the booth benches were peeling. Not a nice look! Would have given it a 4-star, were it not for the furniture. Service was fine, once all the workers were present. We went at about 5:45, and it seems like everyone was not back from their breaks, or they might have been serving the customers at the catering hall, which is next to the restaurant, within the building. This one serves liquor.
First time visit to this place after reading the reviews of all other guest. Its perfect decision to choose this place for our group. Food was so tasty and amazing. Just prepare the way what we suggest. Gobi Manchurian is the special appetizer. Love the crispy crunchy test. Service is so fast and staff are so friendly. Make our evening so special. We will definitely recommend to our friends and family.
Best Indian food I've had in NJ so far!
Not up to mark of reviews what I had read. We ordered Chicken Tikka which came in big pieces(acceptable), but masala was too bad tasting. Among 6 big pieces,we had to waste 4 of them. Veg fried rice & Rajasthani Bhindi masala was again bad tasting. Even roti was not that good. Overall it was a totally awful experience because we saw good rating reviews on yelp for this hotel and decided to try it out in between our NYC trip. That too was coincidentally our Wedding Anniversary, turned out to be bad food.
The manager (a lady, I forgot to ask her name) was very kind and professional. Focused very much on the customer. Food was not bad either. However, this is all I have to say by way of good things. Extremely high noise levels, poor and unorganized staff, in my case, they did not even get our order right.
Food was great, service was a little slow but they compensated with a free dessert that was very sweet & delicious. I would recommend & I would go back if in the area.
Buffet was good. Service was excellent
Absolutely delicious !
This was our first time staying in Secaucas....so happy that we found Mausam Indian Cuisine.
The food was good and the service was excellent. We were very pleased.
The food here was pretty great and the service was wonderful. I had the goat curry. The only complaint is that the dining area is not very pretty/nice. It feels cold/not welcoming/not cozy. I wish they would re-do their interior. It's a very weird building/set-up that they have with the event rooms/party rooms, etc.
Definitely a great spot. I've seen a few other reviews here for this restaurant claiming that they had bad service but in the 3 times I've been I've never gotten that at all. They're always prompt and attentive. Plus the food is excellent!
Chef has changed; went for a Diwali (New Year) dinner; noticed that the taste for a few of the regular items on the menu changed for the better; Service left a lot to to be desired. The paneer bhurji was excellant.
Service is need to improve - took long time to bring the food to table
Restaurant needs to have a ramp or some alternative. It's difficult for carrying a stroller across the stairs. We enjoyed the experience but it would have better if there was a ramp or elevator.
Went for dinner with family; food was not up to the usual standard that we were used to. Service though made up for the fact.
Excellent food, good ambience. However, service was VERY slow--first we had to ask for menus after we had been sitting down for awhile without any waiter/waitress coming over, and we frequently had to ask twice for things.
We went on a Saturday nite for a family get together. It was jam packed but our table was waiting in a nice part of the room. Excellent wait staff that kept coming over at appropriate intervals and kept refilling our papadums We had tried the Chicken 65 at other Indian restaurants but this one was far the best! My daughter's soda was brought in by another staff member in a tiny glass. When my sister complained our waiter gracefully apologized and my sister got a free refill of her drink ! Both the maitre'd and the lady waiter (did not get their names) kept smiling throughout making it an enjoyable dinner. Just wish they get more parking spots around. In all delicious food and good experience
Excellent ! Love whatever i have eaten
Very delicious and the ambience is great too. Service needs to be more attentive though.
The lunch buffet is really the best we have ever had -- delicious food and lots of choices!
The restaurant is big with a nice bar area but very dimly lit.
We ordered a few different appetizers & entrees and rhey
were good not great. Not our favorite Indian restaurant but in
a pinch not bad.
We found Mausam on Open Table looking for a place for lunch before a game at the very nearby Meadowlands and were very impressed with the quality of the food at their lunch buffet. The staff was very gracious.
The food is delicious -- and the price for the buffet lunch is a great value.
The lunch buffet is a great value -- delicious food at a very attractive price.
Very good appetizer platter; though the rice felt like it was overcooked and stale.
Food and service excellent. Would come back
For being the first time there I enjoyed it.
Loved the fact that I was able to make reservations online.
It made it very special and romantic.
It was average for me. Food was good but felt little on a blend side. Being said it's Indian food, it didn't live up to the expectation. It's kid friendly but felt like noisy and kids are running around the restaurant with no privacy of your own. Ehh!
