The ship that was in the advertisement is not the ship that you go out on. The ship you go out on is old and not clean. The food is cold, as expected being served on a boat, but ok.
Once the sun goes down you can't see anything anyway but you are stuck on the boat for another hour or so.
We booked this based on all the reviews and we had previously taken a great dinner cruise on Kauai. Everyone was friendly but the meal and setting were all completely below average. Hard plastic seats, paper table clothes, plastic cups, dirty ship, crappy sound system. I'd describe the meal as a Costco salad and dinner rolls with a piece of poor quality prime rib - all of it obviously prepared onshore before we departed. The musical act/solo entertainer was awful and out of tune. Many of the bars onshore have far better acts. On the plus side, everyone was pleasant but not worth the cost.
Such as wonderful experience! We are so glad we booked this dinner cruise. It was the best and look forward to do this again next year.
We enjoyed the dinner with friends. Also the whale siting was an unexpected bonus. Very convenient to where we stayed on Maui.
The food was good - my Mahi-mahi was better than my husband's prime rib. The problem was the boat itself. We were told there was dancing. The lower floor where dancing was supposed to be was gross. Dinner is served on the top deck and it was nice but the rest of the boat was very old and worn. Rather disappointing - I would not recommend this dinner cruise.
A group of us were on this cruise. It happened to be cold, cloudy and extremely windy. We had no idea the tables and chairs were nailed to the floor. A couple in the group were large people and this made it very uncomfortable for them. We also didn't get to sit together. Tables were made up for 4. We had 10 in our party. The music was great, we bought the CD. Due to the wind, the food was cold, drinks spilled over, the waiters were overworked. Would not recommend this activity. We spent $99.95 per person and we ALL felt this trip truly was not worth the money!!
The seats are just too close to the tables.
Very enjoyable evening seeing the coast of Maui. Food exceeded expectations for a dinner cruise.
Came here 10 years ago on our wedding night. Food was just okay but the ambiance was great and the music and dancing rounded off a great night. This experience however was laughably awful. Tied down to plastic immovable chairs for the whole dinner treated to watered down drinks and over cooked fish with a singer who should have stuck to guitar playing only. No dancing at all. All would be better served to eat at Dukes ocean side with amazing local singing for a wonderful romantic evening. Wave to the Princess as she motors away at a distance.
The food was good but I had to eat it when I got back to my hotel room because as soon as I took a bite it almost immediately came back. Not because it was bad just the rocking if the boat was very noticeable and I didn't notice until that moment I was not feeling well. But they give three complimentary alcoholic beverages which were good but I need to stick to bigger boats so not to feel the rocking so badly and I would've enjoyed the cruise a lot more.
Overall a great experience. Wait staff was great. I booked this dinner cruise as part if our vacation with our best friends. When the company called me to confirm the reservation, they told me we would have "rail seating". When we were arrived we were again told we would have "rail seating" and were even shown where it was documented on the manifest. This was important to me since I booked for friends and wanted it to be a special evening. Yet, when we boarded our seats were not rail side. Very disappointing, especially since we were told twice we would have it.
Excellent vegetarian meal and presentation. Fun interactive live music with dancing open air on top deck of boat after sunset dinner.
We weren't sure what to expect but the experince was wonderful. Clear starry night - rainbows on the hills, nice people and pretty good food considering the hauled it all onto a boat!
Nice little 2.5 hour dinner cruise up and down west Maui coastline out of Lahaina. Food was surprisingly good, had the prime rib. Musical entertainment was good also and our waitress, Jessica, was a blast.
Great cruise, saw whales. You do NOT go on this for the food. Request to sit by a rail for better viewing.
Highly recommend! A wonderful experience with tasty food, fantastic crew and a memorable voyage!
Extraordinary cruise in an extraordinary island
Fun overall experience. I had the prime rib and it was better than you might expect to be served on a boat. The fish and chicken went over well with the kids. Hard to beat the sunset view!
Food mediocre. Plastic chairs bolted to the deck., crammed together. Boat is old and never left the harbor area. A disappointing experience.
It was not quite what we expected. The seating is on the top deck which is fine, because you are in the open air and you do have a 360 degree view. But, the seating is really cramped and the plastic chairs are literally glued to the floor. Music was good, though we suspect it was pretty much recorded ala kareoke. The food was a bit better than we anticipated.
