Matts’ Rotisserie & Oyster Lounge Ratings and Reviews
Family of four (with two kiddos, 7 & 10) went there after a movie on "Black Friday." It was busy but the staff was friendly and service was good. Kids menus at this restaurant are very good. The kids salmon dinner has a large piece of fresh salmon, veggies and mashed potatoes. Kids fish-n-chips have 2 large pieces (more than enough for my 10yr old daughter). My burger (Matt's "killer burger") was absolutely delicious, with veggies substituted for fries. My wife had the scallop risotto and, bummer for her, because it came with only three scallops and had WAY too much balsamic vinegar in it. Kids were happy with their salmon dinner and fish-n-chips. With a bottle of Pellegrino and no alcoholic or other drinks, tab was just over $79 (before tip). Not bad and we'll definitely be back - but not for the scallop risotto.
The food was bland and nothing to rave about. I was highly disappointed in the food... After reading all the reviews... I thought this place would be good... we paid over $70 for 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals. This will be our first and last time coming here.
A great value for happy hour with bunches of delicious small plate offerings. The happy hour cocktail menu was different then what the web site said which was a bummer. Most of the HH special cocktails were super sweeties which isn't what our party looks for. None the less, a great local after work hot spot with delightful offerings for about $6 -$12 for small plates and $3 off for special cocktails. Oh.... Don't forget the HH fresh oysters for $1.25. They were awesome. Service was 5 star, too.
We eat at Matt's regularly. Our recent meal was not as good as usual. My wife asked for her steak medium well: it came blood red in the middle. I asked for my salmon to be cooked through: it was barely cooked in the middle. Also my salmon plate was drowned in melted butter with the mashed potatoes almost liquefied. Because we didn't feel like waiting any longer for things to be redone properly, we ate what we were served.
Took a client their for a business lunch. We had three appetizers - Steamed clams, artichoke hearts and calamari - and each was flavorful and delicious, disappearing rapidly. Our group had a variety of main courses and all were given positive reviews. My steak salad was excellent, very flavorful and not heavy at all. Our server seemed pretty new and a bit slow at times, but his attitude was very positive and the effort was there. Being in Redmond Town Center Mall, nothing very special about the location or ambiance. Overall a good experience.
The food as always was so good. The salmon with the pear vinaigrette was outstanding. It can get pretty loud with all the talking and music but you can deal with it once you are accustomed to it. Service was a bit spotty, but that was the kitchen. You kind of want your salad to come out before your dinner, not during. I let it slide as the caprese salad is really good. The one "problem" I had was the table where we were placed. It is so close to the booths to the right of it and it is cramped in that spot. I don't like sitting there but that is where we sat. Next time, I'll wait for a table before sitting there.
The food is always delicious here, especially the seafood entrees on the monthly specials menu. This time we were there for lunch, and as always the service and the food were excellent. For lunch, I often get the spinach salad and seafood chowder, which are both great. This time, I tried the heirloom tomato salad from the monthly specials menu, and it was outstanding.
Visited as a family of 4 on Friday night. Our kids (both under 10) had the fish-n-chips, while my wife and I enjoyed prime rib and a prawn pasta special, respectively. Service was impeccable, the food was delicious (seriously, the prime rib was ridiculously good) and pricing is reasonable. There are some good deals on the wine list, as well. We most certainly will be back at Matt's soon!
We had Matts Baked oysters and the fried artichoke. I generally do not like food that masks the main ingredient to the point where you can't really the taste the main ingredient. Both appetizers were smothered with so much other stuff that you could barely tell it was an oyster or an artichoke. The artichokes were battered and fried and Matts Oysters had too much spinach masking the oysters. Based on these two terrible dishes, we paid our bill and left without ordering an entree.
This is the first restaurant with American type of food that didn't make me feel sorry after I ate! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there. I came again in a few days with my mom and a child as I wanted them to experience the awesomeness of their food as well. It is pricey, but during the happy hour you can eat much cheaper. As we were told the food is prepared on real wood, not gas. The result is outstanding.
The food was pretty good, I had salmon that was cooked correctly and a good sized portion. Other meals at our table were scallop risotto (very good), prime rib (very good) and roasted chicken (good).
The main issue was the cramped quarters, it felt like a mess hall. And it was quite noisy, odd for a Tuesday night.
I really enjoy Matt's and mostly for the quality of their food. I normally get their Killer Burger which is really top notch. Today I decided to try something different and ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. It was SO good that I think I may not order the burger again. The server mentioned that I could get the chicken with their blackened spice blend, so I did. It was not noticeably spicy. The bacon and avocado spread on top made it extra luscious! My friend got the seafood chowder and a halibut taco, and both looked wonderful. We're definitely going back for more deliciousness!
Let me start out by saying we he been Matts'fans ever since they opened. The did and the service has never wavered, consistently delicious with fantastic attentive service...until tonight. The did was still great, but the service was sub par. Our server was cordial and knowledgeable, but once she took our order and brought us a wine taste, we never saw her until we asked to see her when they came to clear our salad and appetizer plates away. Even then it took awhile for her to come by. We had asked for additional bread for our appetizer when she brought the wine taste and that took quite some time to receive it. All of our food was brought by others and, though she was at tables beside us, she never turned to look at ours or return to see if we had decided on the wine. Even the bartender walked our son's drink it to the table after quite some time. It appeared to have been forgotten. I'm not sure if the lack of service was due to her having too many tables or if she was new, but we sure hope it was an anomaly.
