Matts' takes reservations for private parties of up to 70 people. There are two private spaces available, the first of which can accommodate up to 54 people and the smaller space, which can accommodate up to 15 people.

I had the flat iron steak salad ordered medium. The streak was so rare. I couldn't eat it. My wife ordered the grilled chicken with a salad. She got her salad but no chicken on it. I'll never go back.

Great place for a causal get together with friends. Our server was wonderful and accommodating as we ordered oysters and other appetizers at staggered times, finishing off with salads instead of individual meals. (And then ordered dessert of course!) Timing of the food was great!

We waited a very long time to have waiter come the first time. And quite long in between visits as well. Restaurant was NOT busy - in fact, it looked to be about 35-40% full. A lot of empty tables-so we were doubly surprised wait staff was inattentive. My husband and I both had Prime Rib. Both pieces were quite tough. We were NOT fans of the odd butter-horseradish that it was served with. (85% butter, very little horseradish.) Who puts butter on a lukewarm piece of prime rib? We live in Redmond, but the past couple of dining experiences we've had at Matt's left us feeling quite blah about returning. (We've been going to Matt's for more than 10 years. Nowhere near the quality it was even a couple of years ago.)

No bread was brought after it was offered, Ice tea refills were brought with no ice and the tea was warm. We ordered appetizers and they did come in a timely manner but the salads and the entree's came all out together after we had asked them to come out separately. This was our first time at this restaurant and we were celebrating our 38th anniversary. Needless to say we were disappointed.

Always enjoy Matts. Love that there are always fresh oysters.

The last couple times we've been here the service has gone down hill a bit - I can understand when service is slow when a restaurant is busy, however both times we've been in, it hasn't been very busy yet the service was very slow. The visit we had before this our server recognized and acknowledged the slow service from the kitchen and compensated us for this, we really appreciated that. This time it was like we were being ignored - slow to fill waters, slow food service, etc. and it wasn't addressed at all. We were celebrating our anniversary so I didn't want to bring it up or cause a scene mentioning it.

That said we still LOVE this restaurant, we love that it is great food and an atmosphere where we are comfortable going for a date or going with our two young boys.

Matt's is one of our GO-TO spots where we are guaranteed to be happy with the food and the service. Consistent excellent quality of seafood, oysters, specials, and excellent service. Again very consistent quality but with reasonable pricing and generous portions. Matt's has sustained this high level for a long time - hats off!!

Matt's is our go-to place when family comes in from out of town. Enough choices to please everyone. We hadn't tried artichoke heart appetizer before - would recommend - along with calamari. We often default to pork chop and halibut which are always delicious. Service was friendly and patient given people couldn't make up their minds. We booked for 8pm - plenty of open tables - but still a good atmosphere. We sat inside, but there are a number of outside tables that looked a good pick given it was a warm evening. I've been often enough to wish there was more rotation on special menu (and then I'd go more), and if they found out where to get the soft mints Ruth Chris have - it would go from "excellent" to "perfect".

This place haz great food and a fun vibe. Our server was really fun and helpful. The only downside to us was that the wine selection was a little pricey compared to the food prices. But we would definitely return.

Always great! Love the selection of fresh oysters on the half shell. The steak is amazing - we have had the steak frites but also the steak available on the seasonal menu or the regular menu and they’re always good. The wedge salad is delicious - they do great at not putting too much dressing. The best is Matt’s Hot Chocolate - it’s not a drink like I thought for a long time - it is AMAZING molten chocolate cake in a coffee mug with a scoop of ice cream. It is just the right amount to share. It is perfectly chocolate.

Matt’s was also great about helping make the meal gluten free for me!

Matt’s atmosphere is great to go as a family or for date night. The food is great and the restaurant is comfortable and makes the meal great no matter the occasion (date night or family dinner).

Friday dining out is an adventure in the best circumstances. Lots of customers who are tired from the work week. Most places I try are well aware and prepare for the rush. Matt’s failed in every respect.
Had a reservation for 2 and arrived on time. Was seated at an acceptable, albeit small, table.
Waitress arrived and showed disappointment when neither chose to drink. She recommended two specials, one of which we each ordered. Felt she treated us perfunctorily, kind of like we were wasting her time. We asked for bread. After 10 minutes, we asked for bread again. No bread either time. Hostess brought food 5 minutes later, set it down unsmiling. Looked at pasta with seafood serving: on the small side for pasta with a few flakes of salmon, 3-4 clams, and 2 small shrimp. Embarrassing for the price. Flavor somewhat bland but OK. Asked waitress 5 minutes into meal. Finally got awful bread. Waitress delivered bill without asking about dessert. We were happy to leave.
Best part of meal: the food arrived hot.

We were seated right away. Comfortable booth. Server was friendly and attentive. Though, why it took an extraordinary long time to get soup and salad I don't know! Anyway, server apologized and I would still come back.....:-)

I have been to Matts' before and it was great, so I thought I'd take my dad for father's day. It was terrible. The food took FOREVER and when it arrived it was not the quality I'm used to from them, and my dad's dinner was cold. Then they messed up our bill. Honestly I'm not sure I will go back.

I made reservations for Father's Day at Matt's. Truthfully I have eaten there 4 times in the last 3 weeks! The outdoor patio is a great spot to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather we are having. There is a cover overhead which helps keep you from the direct sun but it is high enough where you can still enjoy the summer breeze of outdoor dining. I have enjoyed the rotisserie chicken salad, Matt's Buddha bowl, the artichoke and flash fried calamari appetizers, the grilled halibut, but my favorite are the halibut street tacos. They are prepared with a just right spicy chipotle sauce, grilled pineapple salsa, crispy shell and tasty slaw. Sunday is happy hour all day and you can sit outside or at the bar and enjoy some of their specials as well.

We love Matt's Oyster Bar for our birthday and anniversary celebrations. We always get an e-mail for a complimentary appetizer or dessert and enjoy that with our entrees. The hot crab dip is very good. We always love their seafood. The salt and pepper chicken is a favorite as are the beef short rib stroganoff. Everything is delicious and their wine selection is good too. Sunday evening is half price on the wine. In the summer time it is fun to sit in their outdoor patio and enjoy the breeze.

We hadn't been to Max's in close to 2 years but had great memories of a wonderful dinner out. We were pretty disappointed in our visit this time. It use to be affordable with a great entree menu...not anymore. The menu for dinner was pretty limited with nothing really standing out. I settled for the Prime Rib dip...pretty pedestrian. My wife had the fish tacos and my son the Prime Rib tacos. My son referred to his tacos as "weak' and my wife's response we "meh".
On the bright side, the service was great.

I doubt we will return.

Appetizers (crispy fried oysters and artichoke hearts) and the seafood chowder were good, the grilled sockeye salmon overcooked, blackened chicken salad good, except for the chicken which was dry. Service and ambience average. Overpriced wine.

We had dinner with friends and were seated nearer to the entrance than we wanted to be seated even though we had reservations. The place was packed and those without reservations who had followed us in had to leave. We ordered drinks and an appetizer which was their crispy artichokes was good but the sauce was smeared on the plate with not enough to accommodate the artichokes. A small dish with the sauce would have been better. The waiter asked if we wanted bread and we said yes. We had to remind her that we ordered bread and she apologized and brought four slices which were cold and stale. We send it back and she brought us fresh bread (why couldn’t she have done that in the first place?). Our main courses came. I ordered one of the special items on the daily list. It was supposed to be rotisserie chicken with pappardelle noodles with sun dried tomatoes, peas, and sauce. I struggled to find chicken and found a few pieces in the melange. I left 3/4 of it over since the rest of the dish was just noodles and peas with no chicken and the dish just became cloyingly saucy. My friend ordered the halibut tacos. The huge taco shells were not crispy and the juice from the halibut kept running out. She ended up ignoring the shells and ate the scant amount of fish and slaw with a fork. On a more positive note, my friend’s husband had BBQ short ribs and my husband had the seared tuna salad and both liked their choices. We had a disappointing experience the last time we ate at Matt’s and will not be going back again.

Our granddaughter always requests Matt's for celebrating her birthday or to catch up with her grandparents. We don't mind that at all. It's our favorite too for tasty food and drink choices.
