The service was fantastic and the food was even better. We will be back!
I always like Matt's. That said I tried some new things on the menu and they were equally good or better. The service was very appropriate for a business lunch, the server was there when needed but not intrusive. The pasta with shrimp was exceptional.
Always excellent! My go to restaurant for an awesome meal anytime.
Although we had a reservation, we were seated right by the door. Each time it opened we were greeted with a very cool breeze. We sat at our table for almost 15 minutes before getting any service. It took an hour for our food to arrive. The food was good, but the service and table were very poor.
Music too loud
The service was outstanding, the food was great, and my wife and I were lucky to be tucked away in a corner where the entire lounge was beautiful.
Very accommodating even on the packed out fully received Valentine's Day.
Great menu and service Great menu and service Great menu and service Great menu and service Great menu and service Great menu and service Great menu and service Great menu and service
Food was very enjoyable and our waitress was great. We plan to go back.
Server (Eric) was fantastic! He was focused on providing us with a positive dining experience without trying to be too cool. The food was delivered in a timely fashion and the food was good, although not fantastic. However, we will be back. The combination of free & easy parking, friendly workers and a nice menu are hard to find.
My wife and I came here for Valentine’s Day and it was quite a subpar experience. The baked clams weren’t baked very well (they were almost raw), the artisan bread was cold, we had to ask twice for more bleu cheese dressing for the wedge salad because they provided so little, and my steak was not quite up to par. The wine and the halibut/coleslaw were great though.
Service was ok at best. The server had to come back and correct himself twice when we had questions.
I’ve been here before and was very happy with it. Something was really off this time. Too bad.
For a $180 bill we walked away pretty disappointed for what we paid.
The service here is fantastic. The happy hour menu is awesome. The oysters are great! But the entrees are really average. But we still come back all the time for happy hour and oysters!
We've been on Valentine's Day. Loved the atmosphere, the service was good. The food was very good, especially appetizers! Especially we loved stuffed wild prawns - juicy, in delicious sauce - yamm!!! Fried calamari also come with delicious sauce. Kumamoto oysters with condiments as usual are excellent! The wild King Salmon special was good, cooked to perfection, but we really missed the sauce like the one we had with prawns, I would recommend chef to add some kind of white wine sauce to Salmon dish....We are coming to Matt's many years, and always they have consistent food and service. Appetizers were a real hit this time!
Food and service - top notch!
longtime customer; was there with my team for lunch. Great food for great price. Especially liked the pork belly; you don't see this often
While the food was good, our service was absolutely disappointing. The gentlemen waiting on us left drinks on the bar, repeatedly, delayed taking our order, and seemed generally uninterested in waiting tables. It was a shame because the restaurant has potential!
Burrata appetizer was creatively presented and very tasty. Otherwise the rotisserie chicken, prime rib and mashed potatoes were fine. Food and menu pretty unremarkable. Server was very attentive and friendly and helpful.
Had a great Dinner with family. I have loved Matts forever and they have consistently great food, awesome service and even taking our 2 and 4 year old allows us an amazing food experience and pleasant dining atmosphere for all. Highly recommend whether you want a nice date, family meal, or a catch up with friends Matts is it!!
I loved the oysters Rockefeller style and the Merlot. Very delicious!
We drove up from Portland OR for a Memorial service. Having friends with us (their first time) we had a wonderful experience and will recommend to other.
fantastic service and delicious food
Good, not great. Service was great all night though. Everyone's feedback was the food was pretty solid but nothing spectacular. Good for large groups.
Have eaten here several times before, so no complaints about the food. The only issue we had this time was the feeling of being rushed. Our waiter asked if we wanted desert then presented us with the bill while we were still eating our main meal!
Dont let the name fool you, none of us had oysters. Great menu, excellent service,
Even though there was only 2 of us ( one being my 13 yr old son) we were seated in a weirdly located booth for 2 ppl. It felt shoved in a corner. The food was great. The seafood chowder was amazing and the scallops were cooked to perfection. The risotto was more like just cooked rice not very creamy. The service was excellent.
Server stopped at table next to us to talk to friends for approx 10 min while holding our water glasses. He updated them on his recent application to police force and his his false failure on polygraph. Unfortunately, he was wearing far too much cologne, which transferred to my water glass rendering it undrinkable to me. My husband can't smell, so we traded. Server never gave us his name, but did share that he was just waking up.
I work in a fragrance free work place and think that food should also come without fragrance. Every time our server approached I needed to not inhale. 2 other servers nearby were just fine, no problem. Just make sure your servers don't wear scent.
Halibut and chips. Halibut overcooked and dry. Chips good, slaw tasty and interesting.
Was my birthday lunch. Overall disappointed. Looked so good online.
Won't return, nor recommend..
Much improved since our last visit. I was disappointed several months ago on our last dinner visit; however, this last lunch visit was considerably better. The lamb special was very good. Hope they keep it up.
Ended the year on a high note at Matt's Rotisserie and Oyster Bar. The food was delicious. My favorite part was the Calamari; light and crisp, and the peppers were a pleasant additional taste that went so well with it. We will definitely be back.
Enjoyed a ok dinner on New Year’s Eve. The calamari was ok, portion is small. My drink never came, they were hunting for mint for my Mojito that never came! By this time we already finished our app and the salads. I had to motion our server to just bring me a glass of wine. I enjoyed my steak and my husband loved the Roasted chicken. I would have ordered dessert but nothing stood out, was hoping for creme brûlée, nothing on the special menu. We do enjoy coming here and will hope this was a one off for service.
Fresh oysters were delish! Chef has a heavy hand with black pepper.
We love this place , food is fabulous, service is wonderful, and they make you feel like family.
Food was excellent, as always. Service was a bit slow.
Entree salads at lunch have shrunk. Seemed skimpy. The braised lamb shank was excellent.
Our waiter, Brian, gave great service. Bread pudding he recommended was divine and ample when shared by 4 ladies.
It was fabulous, for Christmas Eve, it was wonderful. Our waitress went above and beyond and the bartenders worked so hard .
I can’t thank them enough for turning our evening from sad to a happy Christmas. We lost our son 20 years ago come January 12 in the 82 airborne.
They made us so special
Love you all

Very loud restaurant, with average decor - I felt like I was in a Denny's booth. Fresh oysters were good, but took a long time to arrive - after my salad. $46 prime rib was average at best - very thin 3/4 inch thick? Sides were average, very think mashed potatoes and good green beans. Sam was a great server, but the food and ambiance downgraded the experience. I've been there many times, but this was the worst. I'll give them some tolerance for crazy holiday times, but not sure I'll be back.
Was looking forward to our dinner there. Heading there some years ago. While the food was delicious, and our server was great, the ambience was lacking. It’s like there are two restaurants in one. The seating area near the bar is a great ambience with lower lighting, but we were seated in the family area apparently, where the groups were quite loud in the lighting is too bright.
This restaurant is expensive and to see children crawling around the floor in their pajamas is disrespectful. If your child is in jammies we must be in YOUR living room then you are buying my dinner. I won't be back.
Great service as usual. We were seated close to the door so there was a bit of a draft. I like the menu selections but they have removed a few of my favorites over the years like the Reuben and pulled pork sandwich. The calamari is really good. Great beer selection.
Pork chop and salmon were overcooked. Food was not at the usual standard we have come to expect.
Favorite place for years, crappy experience on Thanksgiving.
I made a reservation, arrived 10-ish minutes earlier. They offered us a table in the middle of the floor. There were 3 booths available - one with 6 seats and two with 4 seats. There were 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids), so I asked if we could take one of the booths.
We were told no, because they are held for someone with reservations. I said we also made a reservation, you just welcomed us. They said that the group they're waiting is bigger and they would not sit comfortable at a table, but would be good at the booth.
In the end one booth was taken by a group of 4 (which we saw waiting when we entered the restaurant, and I'm quite sure they did not have any reservations as they've been waiting despite tables being available). The other booth was taken by a family with a child (total 3 persons).
I couldn't find any logical explanation to this behavior. Color of skin? Accent ? Staff not accepting questions like "can we have the other table please" ?
