Been going to matts for YEARS. always pretty consistent. Since covid guidelines have eased they are very busy and not organized. Portions are small, wait staff is new, and everyone is scrambling. Took 30 mins for someone to get us water and take our order, then we waited another 50 mins to get our food which was cold. Didnt comp anything, only offered until after we paid our bill, gave us 2 free appetizer cards for next time. Not going back for a while until they get used to being open again, servers remember how to stay on top of their tables and give proper customer service and the beef up their portions again.
Always have great girls’ nights here, especially with the hot oyster guy.
Sat outside for happy hour drinks, appetizers and dessert. Very nice!
Our favorite place in Redmond. Good parking and access.
Ben, our wait staff, was wonderful, efficient, and engaging. Definitely made the night even more enjoyable.
Would have preferred outside seating but took table inside- was told happy hour does not apply inside. Disappointing. French dip good. Prime rib good. Halibut fish tacos tasted old! Halibut fish snd chips not great and cold.
This was our first and last time eating at Matts' Rotisserie & Oyster Lounge, reservation, which we had, or not. From the reviews we read we thought we were going to a restaurant where we could relax and leisurely enjoy our meals. Maybe that would have been true if hard rock and metal (ACDC, Led Zepplin, Metallica) were on our playlists containing relaxing dinner music. But that's not the case. The music was loud and piped throughout the entire restaurant except in the waiting area by the front door. Once we were seated and had placed our orders one of the hostesses started vacuuming. She vacuumed, for approximately 10 minutes, the entire section we were seated including under our table forcing us to move our feet out of her way mumbling something incoherent. The service was fine at the beginning but once we were served our meals, which we waited a significant amount of time for, getting our server's attention or any other server's attention for simple accompaniment's that would typically go with our choices, proved to be frustrating. And the service only got worse.
Great place to eat and have drinks. Been there many times and always had a great time!
Great food and service! Definitely try the Stroganoff!!
Food was terrible! Overcooked and veggies burned. Area where we seated in an area that looked unfinished/ improvised. Terrible experience overall.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Outdoor seating was great.
The service is just outstanding. Ben always remembers our orders and makes us laugh. The oysters were superb and Prime Rib was perfect! We’ve never had a bad experience at Matt’s.
We met friends there who have never been. Sadly, we weren’t as impressed with our food this time or the service. First time this has happened to us. Just an off day at the restaurant I guess.
Food wasn’t overly warm
Great prime rib
Awesome! Great food and ambiance. Would return always!
We sat on the patio with the nice weather. The fresh Halibut steak was delicious.
Really good food and service. Enjoyed celebrating an 84th Birthday for a friend. Matt's made it special for her. Will recommend and return.
We dinned here for Mother’s Day. I wanted to love it, but it was very disappointing. We were seated in a booth near the bar area. Loud conversations from the staff standing around the bar made it difficult to have a conversation at times. Cutlery given to us was dirty and had to be exchanged. Our meals came with a side of veggies...I received two asparagus spears and my husband one. The clams were in a bath of chicken broth that was overwhelmingly chicken-y. My prime rib in a puddle of broth as well.
Four of us celebrated a family birthday. It was our first time at Matt's and everyone loved it. All our meals (2 rotisserie prime ribs, halibut from the Fresh Sheet, and scallops risotto) were beautifully cooked and presented. Very nice wine and beer selection (can't fault a place with Guinness on tap), and a professional and friendly waiter. Perfect post-Covid-vaccination outing, and the liveliest place we've been to in over a year. We are already plotting our return!
This is my gp to restaurant in Redmond. It's the best in the area.
Always enjoy a meal at Matt’s… prime rib was delicious.
Great food and place to meet up
Very covid conscience. Great food and ambiance
Food was great. Our only complaint was that the good arrived too fast. It felt really rushed.
The food was delish and our waitress was amazing.
We ordered appetizers, beet salad and drinks followed by dessert. If I’d read the menu more carefully I would have known the fried oysters would be spicy. I ate them all but would have preferred a little less spicy. The beet salad was good with large chunks of different varieties of beets plus greens. They were out of their apple cobbler dessert but I was happy to have the bread pudding. This was my first post-vaccine restaurant visit with a friend and we declared it a big success.
It was wonderful the bartender made amazing drinks a little too amazing 😜we love going there oysters are excellent.shodukos.and prime rib was tender. Couldn’t have had a better time.😁
My children and I have been dining at Matt’s since 2008. Normally, there haven’t been any notable issues, however, since my children are older now, they notice more, especially when it comes to service and food quality. For that reason, I’m providing the following feedback.
When we arrived, I let the server know that I was David Wilson, party of 3 @ 630pm, to which the hostess replied, “What?”. I was speaking through a mask, however, I would have expected a different tone and greeting.
There was a hair in the first order of calamari and while a fresh order came out quickly, there were two things that gave me pause: 1. Both the server and manager said the calamari would be taken care of, 2. When the bill came out, I’d been charged for the calamari , so I had to mention it.
Again, it wasn’t the greatest dining experience with the children.
To be clear, I’m not asking for anything.
Given my history with Matt’s, I’m hopeful that the feedback will be acted upon.
One of the best places to celebrate something special in casually upscale, attentive and caring environment. Matt’s is unusual with their blend of excellent food and drinks in very modern relaxing atmosphere. Glad to be back!
I ordered beet salad and crispy oysters and all of this was not tasty (sent it back). The apple pie was yummy. Cocktails are pricey and not too good, unfortunately.
First time out since the pandemic started and were anxious. They did a good job and we felt safe and enjoyed our meal.
Food was delicious. Disappointed the Waitress did not bother to ask us if we'd like drink and water refill.
The oysters were a great start, and Matt's martini never disappoints.
Nice to have they back and full menu.
Excellent as always
Love this restaurant.
Great Oysters and awesome Prime Rib!
Apatizer came after meal waiter was slow
Prime rib was amazing! Halibut special that my husband ordered as delicious. And the service was the best I have had in a long time.
They were quite busy and waiters seemed pretty overworked on this visit, so service was slow. But normally Matt's is great, and I still highly recommend them
You know, it's a fine neighborhood restaurant. When you want to eat out, it's a decent local option. The food is consistent and good.
