We love Matt's and are very fond of their prime rib! Service is awesome, and staff take a moment to chat, which is fun. I was especially impressed when I dumped a glass of ice tea down the front of me, how immediately helpful, and supportive they were.
Great oysters and other food like halibut tacos and artichoke dip. Recommend chocolate dessert but share and pear sorbet was delicious.
Was great to be back. Every one was great except for the hostess who wasnt particularly friendly. Oysters and steak were amazing as always
Always good. Hope the seasonal menu will be back soon
So glad to have Matts' open again. Most pleasant atmosphere around, oysters, great variety on the menu - scallop risotto is a favorite but everything I've had has been enjoyable.
They are following all COVID requirements. Felt very comfortable going there. Had the ahi salad, yum, as usual. They had run out of the bacon wrapped meatloaf special Saturday, which was why we went. Didn’t make any more for the Sunday crowd. (Was an advertised Fri, Sat, Sun only special.)
Their food is just consistently good. Service and pricing is good. Good choices for wine and menu is a nice size with plenty of options. Really enjoyed our dinner. Very clean and safe!
Matt's is one of our favorite places to eat in Redmond. We have been going there for years. Glad it is finally open again!! Service and food is great!!
It was supposed to be 25% capacity inside, and while we were seated far enough away from other parties, the restaurant seemed fuller than 25%. Other diners kept their masks off the entire time while seated, even when they weren't eating or drinking and when interacting with staff. We were uncomfortable and won't return until the pandemic ends.
The artichoke and crab dip got substantially smaller since the last time we went there last year. It's one of our favorite appetizers but it was weird to see it so "diminished" in size.
Everything was perfect except for one of the front desk hostess which was kind of rude.
Scheduled reservations, drove there to find out they were closed. It was over an hour drive. Met another couple as well with reservations who indicated they spoke with staff twice the day of and arrived to find the restaurant closed. Disappointed.
The place is closed with no any indication for it on website or Opentable
This restaurant isn’t open. Why is it accepting reservations?
It was closed and we were not able to eat there so not happy.
They were closed!! Why are they listed on Opentable if they are closed. I drove an hour to get there and they were closed!! Please credit my points.
Matt’s was closed though we had a 1:00pm reservation through opentable! Nobody informed us about the closure...very bad customer service!
Matt’s is closed and it still lists it open on here....
It was closed when when got there. Not sure why reservations are being allowed.
They were closed! Why are they even on OpenTable still?
It was closed
Due to power outage, we booked a dinner at Matt’s. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not open and no one answered the phone either. Not sure how to contact open table about this.
Your restaurant accepts reservations on OpenTable but you aren’t even open. Please turn off OpenTable because diners are counting on a table for a meal - and tables for outdoor dining are somewhat scarce. We were counting on eating at Matt’s last weekend, and I was confident that I had a reservation because I had a confirmation and a remainder from the app.
VERY UNHAPPY
We went to Matt's for our final in-person dining experience before the shutdown on November 17. We love their food and will miss them since they do not do take-out and will be closed at least until the New Year. We ordered the crab dip for appetizer and it came piping hot and delicious. We ordered the Wild King Salmon for our meal. It came with honey butter, Yukon gold mashed potatoes and bosc pears. Delicious too. Because they were closing we ordered two meals to go: the salt and pepper rotisserie half chicken and the bacon wrapped meatloaf. They both came with the Yukon potatoes and brussel sprouts. We are enjoying those meals at home this week. We will miss you Matt's but we will be back when you open up again, hopefully soon.
Best grilled cheese on the planet. Chicken sandwich is awesome too.
Great service, great food, and very quick! Zero complaints!
Great service and responses to incorrect food order. We made a mistake and they corrected our mistake.
Great service, good food, just thought the prices were a bit high
Overall we enjoyed Matt's quite a lot. However, my special-occasion reservation request for a seating location out of hi-traffic areas was totally and unapologetically ignored, and our party of 4 was offered our choice of a booth directly behind (and in full view of) the cash register/server hang-out area, or a table in the middle of the room right next to the main thoroughfare to/from the kitchen. Super unhappy about that, especially when I could see other open tables available next to windows, etc. but was told "Oh, I'm sorry but those are reserved" - what the heck?? Apparently THOSE reservations were superior to ours for some unexplained reason.
Food was excellent if overpriced ($27 for meat loaf is bit much, even for Seattle, no matter HOW delicious it was). Our server (Elizabeth) was an absolute delight and we enjoyed our interaction with her greatly.
The atmosphere was generally nice, tho being seated right next to the cash register and customer waiting area was a definite turn-off. Still ticked off that my request when making the reservation (THRU OPEN TABLE, I might add) was completely ignored though.
We've been to Matts' many times over the years- its generally consistent in food quality and service. Service was good on our last visit, but food was noticeably less quality. My party ordered the King Salmon, jambalaya, and half-roasted chicken. Salmon was good, but portions pretty small. jambalaya was a bit spicier than normal, and chicken was so dry, it was inedible. Veggie sides were pretty thin in quantity and warm, but still raw-level crunchiness to them. Overall, not as good as prior experiences. Hoping this was a one-off experience and that things will get better when we are no longer in a pandemic.
The service was great. The tables were spaced far apart and it made for a quiet evening. They were short on some food items which is understandable during COVID.
Greg is an awesome server! I look forward to coming back with my mom.
Everything was bland and overcooked. Chicken and salmon both well-done and dry. Garlic fries soggy. Everything had little to no flavor. Prices high for portion size.
Meatloaf? Yum. Stroganoff? Yum. Oysters, rose and beer? Well, you get the point- it’s always yummmmm...
Came here for a Father/Daughter date. My daughter hates fine dining establishments- Matt’s was relaxed enough to make her feel comfortable while I was able to get a delicious meal as well. She said her filet and fries were the best she’s ever had - I have to admit, I was impressed. I got my seafood fix, but should have asked the price on the oysters before I ordered! They were good and fresh, but not worth $42/dozen!!!
All in all- a very good meal, just a bit pricey.
Food was superb and service outstanding!
Matt's is one of our regular haunts because the food and service are reliably delicious, the cocktails are always wonderful and the location is close to home. During Covid19 the kitchen, bar and serving staff constantly wear masks and tables are well spaced.
Food was very subpar.
Celebrated my son’s birthday ! He loves oysters and they were very good ! The burger, jambalaya, and fish tacos were very good ! Loved the cobbler for dessert ! Our server was great !
We went to Matt's to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed a delicious meal of Wild Salmon and Beef Stroganoff. We received a free dessert for our anniversary so we ordered the Apple Crumble with vanilla the ice cream. It was a delicious meal and great way to celebrate. Our waitress, Angie, was delightful too.
