Matt's in the Market
Located in Seattles Pike Place Market, Matts in the Market offers fresh, elegant American cuisine. The restaurant sources its ingredients from the Pike Place farmers market and is able to provide a vibrant and seasonally rotating menu as a result. Start out your meal at Matts in the Market with the deviled eggs or another appetizer like the chips and hot bacon and caramelized onion dip. Choose from entres like the falafel or the market fish of the day. Top off your experience with a delicious dessert like the honey Trinity cream or the pumpkin pie bread pudding.
Cute, quaint spot for a bite to eat in the heart of Pike’s Place Market. Charming ambiance with a delicious local menu!
Matt’s never fails-delicious business lunch!
Love the food and service. Wanted better description of local. Thank you!
MY FAVORITE LUNCH SPOT AT PIKES PLACE MARKET. DELICIOUS HIGH QUALITY FOOD, GREAT SETTING, WONDERFUL STAFF.
Best wine steward in Seattle🤗🥳🥇
How dining is suppose to be!!
Great views and amazing food here. Sometimes a challenge to find this place, but worth the effort. Robbie is one of the sweetest, most gracious and humorous bartenders in the city. Belly up if you can get a seat.
Perfect place for a birthday dinner with friends!!
Matt's is great! recommended highly by several friends in our hometown of Westport, CT Matt's did not disappoint, the food was delicious and beautifully presented. It is expensive but worth it!
This was our first time traveling to Seattle and we wanted to make the most of it by tasting all it had to offer. Fortunately, we were able to get a reservation at Matt’s - the food was incredible! I would highly recommend the fish stew and the bread pudding with ice cream but I don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu.
This was a great place to eat when visiting Seattle! Right near the market with a great window view of the bay!
Canlis prices in a funky location. Long time customer but it’s gotten too expensive without superior wine list, service and all that come with it. Beware you may be shocked; research before going.
This restaurant has steadily declined over the last year. The cobb salad has gone from fresh, colorful and a burst of flavor to drab, overdressed and overcooked chicken (vs the formerly delightful poached chicken). The daily soup has deteriorated from highly inventive to overly salty. Unfortunately, some of the servers have become surly......
Sad to see this happen to a once great place to eat.
Turned 1 year older and was celebrated by my great girlfriends at an Amazing restaurant! Food truly delicious, view was nice and staff was friendly. Definitely a Seattle Gem! I’m coming back Matt’s!!
The view is so great and the food was awesome! Totally recommend.
We had dinner the night before leaving on an Alaskan cruise. What a way to start our vacation!! The food was outstanding!! Our son is the chef de cuisine at a popular Orlando restaurant so we have a keen appreciation for quality food, beautiful presentation and stellar service. Thank you for a very enjoyable meal!!
Very well-run restaurant with a great atmosphere. Food was was very good and served with reasonable time spacing. Definitely a nice, casual establishment with a bit higher prices than expected.
Haven't been for dinner, but they do a great lunch. Fish is always delicious there. Salads are always perfectly dressed (which must be much more difficult than it seems, because few restaurants seem to do it well). It's a little on the pricey side, but nice for a treat, and food and service are always very good.
The food is always exceptional and the staff are friendly and incredible
Yes, the fish sandwiches are amazing but the best thing on the menu is the scallops. This place never disappoints!
Love the menu selections. We enjoyed oysters, roasted carrots, the steak along with selections from the bar. The bartender made a special drink for our anniversary - much appreciated!
Great location. Service wasn’t bad but could have been better.
Great staff and food!
I’ve dined here many times. This time, my lunch entree (falafel) was pretty bad, flavorless, not fluffy on the inside and a hard crisp on the outside. I ordered tea for afterwards and when it arrived at the table it was already so over-brewed that it was extremely bitter. My companions liked their meals, so there’s that. Our server was very attentive, the drinks were good (quite spendy) so I guess I will try it again and hope it was an off-experience. Oh, and the window was stuck open on a very chilly day so I had to wrap myself in 2 scarves and a coat at the table.
Reliably good service and consistently good food. Excellent location. Limited vegetarian options.
The food was good, but prices seemed quite expensive compared to similar dining experiences. Might be because of the location.
Great food, service & view. Last minute reservations were honored graciously. Thanks for a lovely afternoon
Food was outstanding as usual, especially the STEW! Male servers super interested and funny. Female server was nice and professional. Lovely Bourbon drink, Shame the Armagnac was sold out. :(
Delicious food, great service and a table with a birds eye view of the fish market watching the fish fly... highly recommend the fish sandwich and the Big Matt.
Finally found it after walking around entire building. A bigger sign? Loved the setting but not much vibe going on. Loved the photo the waiter took of us! We had a Manhattan and Sancerre white wine to start the evening. Octopus starter was delicious and different. My wife had the halibut with fennel and fresh peas which she loved. I had the filet because they were out of the lamb shank. It was very good. I felt the evening was a bit pricey overall. Would probably try a new place on next special occasion.
Nice hidden gem. Fresh food. Nice view of Pike Place Market.
Incredible dinner with excellent service from our waiter! Our waiter gave great advice to our daughter as a recent college graduate!
My favorite place to take out of town guests
OUTSTANDING!!!! Food and service vice. Coming back for dinner.
The food and service was top notch, my compliments to the chef. It was a little noisy but I guess that’s to be expected. Overall, I found it to be a quality establishment and most enjoyable experience.
Matt's in the Market has everything you want for the Seattle experience. Their location above Pike Place market makes it so special. The restaurant is always busy. The food is truly phenomenal. The crab cakes were some of the best crab cakes I have ever tasted...crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. The octopus appetizer was amazing too - it was so tender. I found out that they cook it for hours with a dry marinade.
The service is terrific and everyone in the restaurant helps as a team. One of Seattle's finest restaurants.
Meh! Overrated. Hardly any fish in the fish sandwich and the waiter was rude but thought he was funny.
Matt’s remains one of my favorite places for lunch! I highly recommend the chips and dip and the catfish sandwich!
I had a great time celebrating my brother’s birthday.
Eh. Wouldn’t go back for a table and spend the money. Pigalle place was better and also better service and view.
