Great date with a fantastic woman! Thanks Matts!
Matt's is a favorite for us to dine as a couple, for a special occasion and to entertain out of town friends. It never fails us.
Great food and service. Surprisingly generous portions.
Great food, great service, great views
Excellent service and delicious food. However, the view was probably our favorite part.
Great food but a little slow on the service
Great room, and wonderful charm overlooking Pikes Market. Quality ingredients with impeccable preparation. Service is professional and attentive. Only wish is we could stay longer!
I've never had a bad meal at Matt's. The fishwich (on a brioche roll) is my favorite local lunch. The fish is delicate and the sauce yummy. Staff is attentive and polite. Food is outstanding.
All and all I have dined all around Seattle and I can not recommend this place enough. Everything you order is amazing and the seasonally changing menu and the specials will defiantly keep you coming back. I have eaten here 6 times now and have never been disappointed.
great food and we were early enough with a reservation to get a window seat - VERY nice! Great food for sure - nicest lamb shank we'd ever seen and perfectly cooked, plus a seafood stew that was outstanding as well. Cauliflour salad and seared foie gras extraordinary - thanks! Wine list outstanding.
Stephan had the service and was good, but too mant tables to serve slowed that piece a bit...and got moderately noisy....but will always be a favorite place we go to - location/view/food are always reliably great!
Service was attentive but not at all obtrusive. Seafood stew had WAY too much lemon juice for my taste. Wine selections are excellent.
Could use a revamped lunch menu
Great food and atmosphere. My wife loved the NY strip with eggplant purée and I enjoyed the scallops with potato & short rib croquettes. Service was leisurely, meal took about 2 hours, but we were happy for it to be slower paced. The location/ambience was perfect, we were right next to the pike place sign. Would definitely recommend.
They really need a few more whites by the glass .
Great service
The food was very good and wait staff excellent. I had a glass of white wine that I probably should have sent back but didn’t. It really tasted off, like it had been sitting around too long. Even the odor smelled like the wine was “corked.” My advice would be to ask for a small taste of white wines served by the glass before buying.
Overall, the meal was very nice.
Food and service is always enjoyed at Matt's. It is always one of the restaurants I have to go to during a stay in Seattle. Definitely a favorite for true pacific northwest farm to table food.
Should be voted Best fine dining in Seattle every year.
Amazing venue and location. Even though the weather was crummy, I was still able to enjoy a nice meal and drink with a friend. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a well thought-out dinning experience.
One of Seattle's finest and with good reason. Every word of praise is well deserved. Must-haves: fried brussels sprouts and catfish sandwich. You won't regret it!
Another good lunch at Matt's. Catfish Sandwich was a little more bland than in the past, but still good.
Matt’s is a fabulous little spot to watch the market hustle while sipping on cocktails and snacking on falafels, oysters, and dessert.
Flavors, ambience, service!
Omg! The food was amazing! We dined here on Valentines Day at the suggestion of a friend. We had the octopus and there were pickled onions on it that just made the whole dish pop. The burrata salad was fantastic! It was topped with pistachios and had squash on the side. Just so good! Our main courses took the meat to another level. I always order scallops wherever I go and was expecting them to be good but they were literally the best scallops I have ever had! There were greens on the side with lemon infused. Put it together and it was heaven in my mouth! My husband’s had the lamb and it was massive and delicious. The lemon panna cotta for dessert was light and refreshing. Added bonus: their whiskey list was incredible and not too bad of prices. My husband couldn’t resist the Birthday Bourbon. Our server was very attentive but didn’t rush us. We were seated by the kitchen/cooking area so we got to see every dish before we ordered. This pregnant lady left very full and very happy!!!
Matt’s in the market was highly recommended by a friend, thank goodness we went. Food, service and total experience was fantastic.
The hostess was very accommodating and considered my 7yr old’s hungry state and sat us immediately even if we arrive a few minutes ahead of our reservation.
Server was polite and patient and gave us ample time to decide on what we wanted to have for lunch.
Food arrived in a timely manner and did not disappoint. Oysters were tasted fresh and sweet. The crab sandwich portion was generous and perfectly seasoned. Scallops were perfectly cooked and delicious.
A must try resto if your visiting. Seattle for the first time.
I took my 7 yr old son on our early valentines date to Matt’s. Everyone was so sweet to him and he enjoyed his fizzy Shirley temple, the yummiest salmon dinner, and delicious desserts!!
Classy place. Best scallops I've had in my life!!!!
The service was great, the food was delicious, light but satisfying and the view was iconic. Not too expensive and my husband loved it too!
Great spot for a birthday celebration. Fun to be right at Pike Place Market
Terrible over dressed crab Caesar salad. Nominal crab - left 4/5ths of the greens in the bowl
My birthday was awesome, and they did a great job being supportive of my daughters dietary needs.
Love Matt’s.
It was fabulous—highly recommended!
$450 for three for dinner is just too much, especially for a casual atmosphere.
Great spot with nice views. Food was really good if not a tad overpriced. All in all I would definitely go there again.
Matt’s is a very good spot. Small, warm and cozy, and with a great location and view of the market. The menu is limited in terms of offerings yet it has a good selection and what’s on it is excellent. Not a cheap date but a decent value. The kitchen is the star, and it was gratifying to see how thoroughly they were cleaning EVERYTHING at the end of the night, including the traps in the stove vents. Clearly chef sets high standards in every way, which is reflected in the customer experience.
Matt’s is my go to for seafood when I’m in Seattle!
Loved it amazing experience and food, can't wait to go back! Lunch is a great time to go too.
A bit too noisy
Food too salted
Yum yum yum. Amazing food, charming staff, wonderful environment.
We've been going to Matt's for around 15 years and the food is always great.
