Matteo's Ristorante Italiano
Conveniently located on the square of downtown Noblesville, across the street from the courthouse.
The food at this restaurant is usually top notch. This evening the ravioli came to the table cool to warm (not hot). Taste was good, but temperature of the pasta was not what it should have been. The staff was terrific and did not charge for the meal which was appreciated. Typically, the food is great.
Excellent food, service and view of the action in downtown Noblesville.
Perfectly prepared food. Tiramisu was the best I have eaten. Oh and the bread!!!!! Perfect place for a special occasion meal.
since the new owners have taken over, it's not the same food. What authentic italian resto does not have Italian link sausage? Food quality is down as well. Third time with new owners, prob won't return. Better food elsewhere
Always delicious! Took my server's recommendation and had one of my favorite meals at Matteo's!
Great food, great service! Would recommend to friends and family.
We had a great dinner. Food was superb and waitress was knowledgeable and friendly.
Pros -- Food taste was outstanding. Portions on eggplant app and salads were excellent. Waiter was very nice and professional. Large portion of filet and tender. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the sauce was excellent.
Cons -- Scallop portion for price was very bad value -- four average size scallops. Service was slightly slow for a Wed. night that was not crowded.
For a $150 dinner, was not the best value. Expected more.
We visited Matteo's for for the first time for our 55th wedding anniversary. The visit exceeded our expectations.
My husband treated me to the most wonderful meal we have had in years. It was delicious, the atmosphere was superb, the staff was EXCELLENT. It was a beautiful restaurant and so glad Jose had recommended it. It was so worth it. Thank you, TH
Very disappointed. I have had better Italian food at other restaurants at half the price.
Outstanding service, very professional along with quality food and pleasing atmosphere. Always a good choice.
Everything was wonderful. A little pricey but a great experience
Service was outstanding and personable. The food was amazing! the atmosphere was lively, but we were able to carry on our conversation without struggling to hear each other. The attention to detail was perfect. It was a wonderful evening!
Very good service and excellent food had to wait a few minutes to get our setting
Douglas was great, the atmosphere was wonderful and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back
My husband and I had our wedding reception at Matteo's and have our date-night there as often as we can. We enjoy the food, the staff the location and the prices are good. I most recently purchased a gift card there as a Christmas gift to a friend.
We had the the chicken lasagna and it was outstanding. My wife had a chocolate martini and said it was the best she has had. I had a piece of cheesecake for dessert and it was very good. I signed up for their email club prior to our reservation date and received a $10 coupon. They also have a free loyalty program that was very easy to sign up for and it's on our smart phone, no card to remember to carry around.
Matteo’s is consistent at every level but adds the element of genuine concern and appreciation for its customers. Wonderful food and atmosphere. The drinks are fantastic. Always a winner.
This was recommended by a co-worker and it was better than I ever expected. We were sat Relatively fast, the art on the walls was beautiful to look at, and they had live music! Everything was exquisite.
It was a limited menu which is understandable being valentine's day. The amount of pasta with the chicken parm was week, very small. They didn't have our favorite app avail on the special menu so we were bummed. I still asked for it and she said no.
They also ran out of creme brulee which was what I was looking forward to most. They had literally just brought inve out just before I asked to a table that was getting a little faster service than us and was sat at the same time. Just made for a strange date night. Probably won't go back on a busy day again. Service was also pretty slow on drinks and checking in. Not her fault though. The waitress had way too many tables.
We had reservations for Valentine's Day and had always dined at Maggiano's. I dedided it would be a treat to try another Italian restaurant for that occasion. We arrived about ten minutes early and were told we would be seated when our table was ready. About 17 minutes AFTER our reservation, we checked as we saw people who did not have reservations and came in AFTER us being seated. The young lady at the desk had overlooked us. No apology. We were taken to an upper floor and placed at a very small table in the corner. The ambiance of the music from the first floor was inaudible, even though we were sitting directly underneath a speaker. Our waiter didn't show up for another ten minutes and then he offered water. We ordered Prosecco. Ten minutes later it arrived in regular wine glasses, warm and FLAT. Thirty minutes after our reservation time we noticed the pair without reservations were finishing their entrees. Forty minutes after our reservation we received our bread. The waiter did open a new bottle of Prosecco in our presence and it was chilled and bubbly. One hour and eight minutes after our reservation time, still no entrees. About seven minutes later our food arrived. I had chicken lasagna which I don't think I will ever try again. My dining partner had spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti looked as if the marinara had been applied and then washed off leaving orange-ish pasta with no sauce. I was invited to try a meatball. It almost tasted as if it had been boiled. Undercooked with no spices. Iwas like eating almost raw hamburger. One hour and thirty minutes into the evening we were finished. No offer to refill bread or Prosecco. They did take the spaghetti and meatballs off our bill. We elected not to try our luck at dessert. We waited patiently for the waiter to come pick up our charge card. Finally, out of desperation, we left cash and headed out never seeing our waiter again. Not a great Valentine's Day meal. Maybe it was too busy but we won't return
Great service and employees. It’s was because because of Valentine’s Day but they did an outstanding job!
Disappointed to find a limited menu on my first visit to the restaurant. Food was decent and price was fair.
Our favorite restaurant now for several years. Food and service are always excellent at a reasonable price. No matter how casual or elegant your occasion is, Matteo’s is a perfect place.
Matteo's has a romantic atmosphere making it a must for that special occasion you would like to celebrate. The Italian cuisine is authentic and delicious. We happened to be there on a daddy daughter date night and the staff did a wonderful job with the children. We highly recommend it for anyone wanting to share a happy occasion!
Food, service, and ambiance was a perfect way to start off our Father/Daughter evenin. Great overall experience. 👍
Food was incredible and even though they were super busy the service was personable.
Service was fantastic. Great place for a special occasion or just a Evening out. Our server was attentive and well versed in the specials. This was not our first evening at Matteo’s and will not be our last either.
As always, Matteo's was delicious! Great service and great food!
Wonderful establishment!! Great food, great atmosphere, great waiters, and great owners!! This is one of our favorite places to eat!!
Great spot for our larger party of eight. We were all able to talk reasonably. Service was fast and polite, food was great. Was very enjoyable.
Loved my experiecne at Mateo's. Very authentic Italian food experience. Great service from staff and especially the hustling management staff.
1st time T Matteo’s - very, very good and we will absolutely return...
We love this place! It's been a go-to for us personally and professionally for years...
We were interested to visit this Italian restaurant, especially after we heard that the owner himself was born in Italy. We liked the space, the ambiance was good. Our table was in the farthest corner next to a 3 foot high wall divider which meant that the waiter service had a long ways around to reach us, which in itself didn't bother us. We lived for many years close to Italy and have travelled extensively for many years and whilst we understand that food 'translates' in different countries, we also appreciate genuine attempts at authenticity. We ordered a bruschetta as appetizer, a simple dish in which the best ingredients make it sparkle, freshly baked bread should be rubbed with fresh garlic ... Unfortunately it was a base of white tasteless bread with a few diced tomatoes, with melted cheese ; presentation 2/10; authenticity 2/10. I ordered lamb shank and polenta. The food in itself was not bad only it arrived in a soup bowl type of dish floating in a bland gravy. Presentation 2/10 ... (it all looked so .. grey) authenticity 3/10 My husband ordered Fruitti di Mare. Instead of the spaghetti being coated in a pomodoro (tomato) sauce as a dressing, the pomodoro sauce was like a soup. It totally overwhelmed the dish. The prawns were tasteless. Presentation 3/10. authenticity 3/10. A few simple thought through changes would do wonders for the food in this restaurant. There isn't much to tempt us back though i'm afraid. On a positive note the wine selection was quite good.
We always enjoy dinner at Matteos. The food is excellent, they have great specials and the service is friendly. I love the Noblesville location across from the old courthouse. Such great atmosphere.
Great food. All the specials sounded awesome!!
Matteo’s provided a lovely evening for my group of nine ladies. The weather was frightening but the food, service, and atmosphere were comforting and delightful. Our waiter, Dustin, was patient and kind with all of us. Cocktails were also impeccable.
No complaints, everything was very good including service. Will be back again I’m sure when in Noblesville.
