   We were seated on time for our reservation. I was impressed with the service while prompt not rushed I could say perfect. I loved how they helped dish the family style foods instead of passing four people came around the table to serve. Now for the food, excellent. This was a great experience.

   We had a lovely round table at Matteo's but it was very noisy with a singer. The service was excellent with Mircea. He brought everything we requested and spaced out our courses as we requested. Our wine was very good but the Scotch ordered by two of our guests seemed a smaller than usual pour with a lot of ice. The stuffed artichoke was excellent and the calamari was just ok. We shared our main courses and they were all good, but the crispy Brussel sprouts which we usually love, couldn't even be cut with a knife. The desserts were excellent. We will continue coming back and ask for this waiter but not on a weekend.

   Great place to share a meal with good friends! No need for music on a Saturday night. Makes the place much too noisy. Enjoyable first experience. Wait staff was fabulous!

   Second time here and there must have been a different chef. Chopped salad was bland, even with salami and cheese added - I asked for pepper and was given a pepper shaker, no pepper mill? Dressing lacked vinegar. Chicken Matteo was really oily, but the chicken pieces were overcooked and dry and the dish lacked salt. I think the corn salad might have been made with frozen corn. Service was friendly. Sitting outside was lovely. Valet parking a big plus!

    Birthday celebration. One would think it is a great place for a large group- we were 11. Not our first celebration- The restaurant was NOT busy. We were seated in the back room in a corner. Drinks and bread were served and the baked clams and salad. So far, so good! After waiting almost 40 minutes for our main dishes, and, not seeing a server to ask if we wanted another drink, water, ANYTHING, I actually called reception -walk was too far- and asked what happened to our food. Waiter was annoyed I called - but, hey, where was he for 40 minutes. Food came out and it was COLD! Must have been sitting in the kitchen. So much for Matteo’s! Think twice before ordering any chicken dish - last two times it was dried out and tough. Think they prepare it in the AM and reheat. Too bad. Was told MGR would be over. Never showed. Very disappointing.

    Reservations for 4 at 7pm 3/19. Arrived at 7pm and seated promptly. As soon as we sat, and still waiting on husbands to sit after parking our waiter Dan asked for a drink order. We told him we would wait for the men to sit down. Once they arrived, we placed drink order. Then placed appetizer order (eggplant stack which was very good). Appetizer arrived by 7:30. Then waited until 8:30 When we asked our waiter Dan what the hold up was, he told us we didn't arrive until 7:15 so our wait wasn't that long- untrue. He then said the kitchen was backed up. Asked again at 8:40. He then brought out 2 entrees-along with 2 side pastas. Waited again- Dan was very rude and said the manager would bring out the dishes. Then Dan brought the other dishes out with attitude. Manager came out and dumped the Chicken over the now cold pasta dish. Manager was very nice, but Dan the waiter had ignored us the rest of the meal. Manager comped one chicken dish and dessert. We were very much looking forward to our night out. Unlikely to return

    We gave Cubano a try as it was convenient to The Parker for a show we were seeing. Outside seating, which abuts Federal Hwy, is very noisy. We sat inside. An intimate space, though a bit "worn". Nice Sinatra era soundtrack. Noticed a rag and a bottle of Windex sitting on the bar counter...a "no-no". First bottle of wine we ordered was not available. Most are reasonably priced. Shared a sensational mussels appetizer, accompanied by delicious garlic bread! Entrees are ample. Really enjoyed both the garlic shrimp--despite having to return it to the kitchen for reheating--and the chicken chunks. Service is efficient, though we had to keep pouring the wine ourselves. Too full for dessert. Must mention our hand written bill included a $10 overcharge for the mussels (was alerted to this possibility on previous reviews). Mario apologized, pointing to the waiter. He gave us a free dessert. We nibbled--fabulous! DavidS, Boca Raton

    Food was good but the service our waiter Steve/Steven gave us, was sub par for a restaurant like Matteo. Not once did he poor our wine (bottle $150) then when we asked for the wifi password he said he didn’t know and to go ask the hostess ourselves (as opposed to him going to ask the hostess and getting back to us)!!! Then we had ordered a big salad that was half done prior to main course arriving, to prepare the table for second course he took the salad and placed dirty plates on top of it without even asking us if we were done eating it or if we wanted to take it to go (did not comp it after his mistake either). As someone who has worked in restaurants for over 10 years, im completely appalled by his lack of knowledge and tact as a waiter. Will not come back

    Never disappoints. Great suggestions from the server in amount of food and what to order. The black linguini was perfect. We were celebrating two Birthdays and really enjoyed the sparklers with dessert.

    The inside is extremely loud and cannot hear anyone talk. Sat outside and the service was awful, unattentive and one entree they brought out when everyone has almost finished theirs and the food was presented very messy on the plate and was not good at all. WOuld not recommend.

    Matteos' is THE go to place for Italian food. Always busy and service with a smile, their entire staff should be praised. The singer was there with all of our favorite tunes. From the salad to the biscotti, the meal hit every craving.

    Our meal at Matteo's wasn't as good as it used to be. The eggplant stack appetizer took a very long time to arrive and it was very small and overcooked. The Nona pasta main course arrived cold. For the prices they charge, this is unacceptable.

    Food came out luke warm. Service was so slow. We didn’t depart from our 6:30 reservation until 9:30. We ordered baked clams oreganato and the waiter took away the tray with all of the sauce after he dispersed them onto 4 plates for sharing. We all wanted the sauce to dunk the bread. No other dishes were served. One of the items arrived 20 -25 minutes after all other food. We ended up taking this item to go. Food was delicious but service was not good at all! Friendly waiter. Attentive. Kitchen issues???

    The server was excellent, the food very good (not off the charts but very good and would happily eat there again) and portions appropriate to share. The price was reasonable given that 2 people can share a salad and small pasta.

    Is there new mgmt? It doesn't seem like the old Matteo's. Some of the dishes have changed and some of the portions have gotten smaller. We go since it's family style but it doesn't necessarily seem to be the case anymore with all of the meals. Dessert and drinks at the bar and the bartender was a bit rude to say the least. It's definitely a fun place with a group - a step up.
