Amazing on sat night. We even requested to sit with Gregory, and he was amazing. So personable and of course the service and food are excellent

The noise level is bad and dishes should be marked gluten free that can be made that way

Easter dinner with family and friends was outstanding!

Waiter mixed up order by combining two meals leaving one guest without a meal. Then when mixup was discovered they charged to make the additional meal that they messed up. We were there for a birthday gathering so we brought a cake to the restaurant. Our cake was delivered to a different table where candles were blown out by other people. When we pointed out to them that that was our cake they said they would take care of it. They then proceeded after our dinner to deliver the same cake to us. We usually love this place. Very disappointed that it wasn’t up to the usual standard.

Very noisy and frenetic. Seating experience was a bit unpleasant. Food was good-not great.

The salad was mediocre. The clams and garlic pasta was good, but the clams were cut and out of the shells. We went early and when the restaurant was full, it was hard to carry on a conversation at our table because it was very loud.

Excellent food, very noisy but it’s that time of year and very expensive, but we really enjoyed it

Matteos is spectacular Italian cuisine of the very finest quality. Nothing compares. The food is delicious, great service, medium to huge portions are an option. Everyone we know is there at one day during the week or another. Just the best! Not to be missed!

Everything from the food, ambiance, service, and reservation accommodations were excellent. Great food for the money. It was a birthday celebration and they made us feel special. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Matteo's of Boca has been a great restaurant for years. The food is authentic and always too good. This is ITALIAN!! Enjoy!!

The wait to get seated was ridiculous! We had an 8:15 reservation for 8 people and were not seated until 8:50. Everyone waiting had the exact same time reservation as us!! Can you imagine sitting down and placing your order at the exact same time as everyone else in the restaurant. That being said- food was outstanding!!

A great family style meal. Very fresh tasting food and service was prompt. Server very helpful in helping us decide what to order and how much to order. I will look forward to going there again!!!!

The small portion is still family style. The food is very good.

We used to love the food and ambience , but our last visit was very disappointing. The tables are on top of each other forcing the waiters to crawl between to serve. The food didn’t have it’s usual flavor, size wise was plentiful, but too much was ordered as we weren’t advised properly. Hopefully something will be done to improve these situations.

Worst service ever . Came in at 6:15 got food at 8:15 Half the order I'm sure after this review they take themselves off OpenTable.. unless you tip the right people you don't get a table

We like Matteo’s and have eaten here a few times previously. This time we made a reservation on Open Table. Got to the restaurant ontime and waited 45 minutes past reservation time for a table. They were very far behind and many others were complaining about long waits past reservation time. When we finally got seated no one from management ever came over to apologize. The whole vibe came off as this is the way it is if you want to eat here. Not sure if the lesson is don’t go at 8pm or

We were there for a birthday I thought the staff would sing I saw they did for someone else. I guess we are not regulars. They threw confetti on the table. That was it.

Mateos is an energetic and authentic Italian restaurant. It is a fun and lively atmosphere. The service is excellent. The food is delish! It is a bit noisy though.

Made this reservation on OT got there they had no record of our reservation young girls as hostesses said they never get OT reservations well complained to mgr after 1/2 hour seated service slow food came wrong after 1 hour Matteo chicken $30 came out with 2 tiny pieces one tiny drum stick one tiny wing embarrassing to my guests we complain they bring a tiny piece of chicken ordered linguini received spaghetti was very disappointed from the minute we walked in to this restaurant. We will not return! Very unhappy I do have pics of the chicken

Reservations are meaningless. We had an 830 reservation and arrived at 8:15. We were told, “we will let you know at 830 how long you will have to wait”! Absurd.
That wasnt just us, it was everyone with a res.
The food is good but the entire experience is ruined by the message at the door. Frankly, too many good choices in town to accept the aggravation.

Enjoyed dinner, food great. Our table was a bit small for seven. Also, one seat in servers path and diner was constantly being bumped into.

Good news was that we were seated at the time of our reservation. The food was good, but not great. For that, it was pricy. The noise level was overwhelming making it very difficult to have a conversation. The wait staff only present to take initial order and pushed to up sell each dish to larger portion.

We had to wait till the waiter gave us menus; we were 6 in the party and he only gave 4. I asked for 2 more and his answer was when we were ready to get his attention. He was not a young, fresh, new waiter so we were quite shocked. Finally, we shared the menus and after a good 20 minutes he was on the other side of the divider, I said "Hello" and he said "are you ready?" I said we've been waiting for you. No apologies, just "who'se starting." It's a good thing that the
food is quite good and ample portions even the small plates are big otherwise we would have walked out from such an attitude. It was Valentine's evening. We had a 6 p.m. res and the restaurant wasn't that crowded as later, so the waiter wasn't as busy as all tables filled later. We didn't start to get our meals till about 7 p.m. Not that that's late but it is for a 6 p.m. reservation. Tasty but disappointed with service as you note above.

Wonderful dinner as usual. Chopped salad was fresh. Chicken Matteo loaded with veggies was delicious. What a huge portion! Salmon was excellent and enough for two people to share. Cannoli is a real special dessert not to be missed. Good selection of wine. Outstanding service.
