Matt the Miller’s Tavern, located in the vibrant Carmel City Center, is just off of the Monon Greenway and steps from The Center for the Performing Arts. Also in close proximity to the Arts/Design District and the many business and hotels within the Meridian Corridor, our location makes it convenient for both locals and those just passing through to make Matt the Miller’s a regular destination. Offering an upscale tavern atmosphere, Matt the Miller’s features a chef-driven menu of tavern favorites, but with a unique twist. This was my first visit to Matt the Miller's Tavern. We had a party of 8, we made a reservation, and we were seated promptly at our reservation time. We had a table that comfortably seated all of us. The food and service were excellent. We had 3 appetizers...all were good, but I really liked the baked spinach and artichoke dip. I would recommend the smoked pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes and asparagus. There are TV screens on the walls and the noise level is similar to a sports bar. it is a great place to relax with friends and have an enjoyable meal. I will definitely go back again.

My friend and I had a last minute chance to get together for brunch on this past Sunday. My friend recommended Matt the MIllers in Carmel. I wasn't familiar with the place but was thrilled with the option of a Bloody Mary Bar along with my food. We arrived and were sat quickly. Our server actually took us around the restaurant and showed us where everything was. I was impressed by this and happy that he did it. I would have been lost in that place. It's huge. The food was outstanding and my Bloody Mary hit the spot . The omelet station was wonderful. I will definitely let everyone know about Matt the Millers!!!

Was at Matt's for brunch 4-8-18. We were looking forward to it and had heard it was very good. Sadly, we found that not to be true this time. Everything was lukewarm, except the hashbrowns which had just been brought out from the kitchen while we stood there and waited for them. The flavors was kind of bland except for the fried chicken. Wow! It was amazing. It was moist and juicy as well as packed with flavor. I wish I had had it first so I could have had more. I have had both dinner and lunch there before and both were good. I'm sure Sunday was just a bad day in the kitchen.
I have also group parties there was well and everyone has been happy with it.

Attended for Matt’s Sunday Brunch. Service was exceptional and our waitress had a delightful personality. Wide choices of entrees and desserts -each done to perfection. An absolute must do!!

Brunch was not worth the money, selection was generic and the food was bland and barely warm. Service was average . Have had many brunches before and would not return for this one. Bar atmosphere and regular menu is much better!

We attended Easter Brunch (their grand buffet). It was nice and we would go back again. The food was good (a lot of it was a little cooler in temperature than i would prefer - but we were one of the first guest, and i'm sure a lot was premade in anticipation for the busy day) and had many choices. Where they had the buffet arranged was a little odd. It was in the back of the restaurant, somewhat of an after thought. The coffee was in the hallway. It did get a little congested even with the few people that were there. They kept the food refilled nicely and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. They were all very attentive. Was it the best food I've had in the area? No. But it was good and allowed many choices. I will definitely return.

My husband and I dine at Matt the Miller’s just about every Friday that we are in town. We have come to love the place for its consistency in food quality, service, and value pricing. That is why we were so disappointed this past Friday evening when the food was far less than usual. The Fillet ordered by one person in our party was so over cooked that it had to be sent back. After a long wait, a new steak came out - still over cooked - and the side dishes were missing. No offer of a drink while waiting or much of an apology for the fact that this person didn’t get their food until all in our party of 5 were done eating. Other items which are usually great were also disappointing but not enough to send back. Let’s say that this is the exception rather than the rule, and it was an off night. Still, it was disappointing and we left feeling embarrassed for suggestion our group eat at Matt the Miller’s.

Walleye was disgusting. Very fishy tasting with several bones in it. Asparagus was way undercooked. Mashed potatoes were bland. Filet was ok but my spouse got very ill later. The butter topping was suspect. The waiter was nice and the food came out quickly. However, the waiter got busy and it took forever to pay and leave.

First time at this restaurant. The menu is diverse offering many options. I had the tuna stack and my colleague had the walleye. Both meals were delicious. Wine Down Wednesdays (WDW) is a good day to visit. They offer significantly discounted bottles of wine.
I visit Indianapolis often and Matt the Millers will be a place I return to.

We were there for brunch. The food was very good - all made on site opposed to canned, etc. and many other brunch locations. Variety could have been improved a bit. Bloody Mary station was excellent. Only complaint is it took +/- 15 minutes to get our check, and pay after requesting it.

Had dinner before a show to the Palladium on St. Patrick's Day. In honor of the day, we both got the corned beef, cabbage and potatoes. The potatoes were ok, the cabbage was quite salty and the corned beef was so salty that I couldn't even eat it. It was awful. My husband ate most of his because he was very hungry, but they certainly didn't do justice for Irish food. I've never had any food in Ireland that was salty like that. Perhaps someone in the kitchen dropped the container of salt in the corned beef? That's at least what it tasted like.

We tried the dessert flight and it wasn't much better. We've been to Matt the Miller's before and never was it like this (or we wouldn't have been back). It's a good thing that we've been there before as this must have been just an off-visit.

Let me begin by saying the service was EXCELLENT. The meal itself, not so much. We ordered the Bar Chips thinking they would be fries, but they were actual chips, hand made and tasty, but that was a surprise. For our meal we each ordered a flat bread. I had the mushroom flatbread and it was severely short on mushrooms, although generously draped in arugula leaves to the point you really couldn't see what was topping the flatbread. He ordered the Black & Blu and found the blu cheese lacking in flavor and the drizzle of sauce to be over-generously applied. However, dessert (brownie) made up for all that being fantastic.

This was our third time visiting. First visit was when they first opened and we didn’t feel that it wowed us for the price. I went for lunch recently and had a better experience and decided to give it a try again with same friends that we went with on our first visit. We booked thru Open Table and requested a table. Arrived on time and table (half table/half booth) was ready however it was in the back corner of the restaurant next to the kitchen:( The noise level was such that we had a difficult time carrying a conversation. Kudos to our server as two of us have food related health issues and he was able to accommodate what we requested. Overall food was good but we won’t be returning anytime soon due to noise level.

We were attending a concert at the Palladium so it was very convenient to eat here beforehand. It was a Friday evening & we had made a reservation ahead of time; otherwise it would have been an hour wait. Food, drinks, & atmosphere good.

We tried the Sunday brunch with the family and had a great experience. The buffet options are tremendous, the Bloody Mary bar is a stroke of genius, and we had fast and attentive service not only table side but throughout the buffet experience. For a family of 6, it was a bit pricier than we normally would budget for a regular Sunday brunch, but the all you can eat nature of such a wide variety of delicious food options will have us back for special occasions or budgeted surprise treats for no reason at all but to stuff ourselves silly (which we did). Don't plan to eat much the rest of the day!

At 7 pm, on Saturday, I set up a reservation through Open Table for 5 at 8:00 pm. We arrived about 7:30 and were told it would be a few minutes before our table was ready. We went to the bar and got drinks and within a few minutes we were told our table was ready, well before the 8 pm time we requested, so that was a positive.

Our server was very helpful with recommendations and was attentive, without being overbearing.

Everyone enjoyed their meal. The food is a good value for the price.

It was a very good experience overall.
