This restaurant offers outstanding Japanese food but is badly let down but the shocking service. There is no lack of staff but most seemed to just stand around rather than take orders or deliver the dinks/food. Prices are on par with the location and quality of the food. We felt rushed out the door after we spent 2 hours and quite a bit if money here. Overall not a pleasant experience.
The restaurant appeared to lack effort in food preparation and overall service. Sushi rice was cold and hard. It was a Tuesday but the fish pieces were a bit dry and stale. Riding on the reputation of Nobu Matsuhisa and the tony locale of Aspen more than anything else. Does not hold a candle to the original in LA or even the Denver location.
Excelente sushi, original y de super calidad. El servicio también muy bueno! Súper recomendable si sos sushi lover. No es barato pero vale la pena!
Matsuhisa is always the best restaurant in aspen. Delicious and consistent.
Reliably delicious food, however also usually too loud to hear conversation easily.
Interesting food in a loud environment. The people in there were loud, but this should be expected as this was a Friday night. It was very expensive.
Great for a special occasion!
We had the grand omakase, every course was well-thought out, beautiful, and delicious! Every detail of the restaurant was obviously scrutinized over and lovingly made.
The Miso Black Cod is the best that I have ever had, hands down. Truly a memorable dish. Overall, the experience was wonderful.
We went for a special occasion and were not disappointed! We tried the chef’s tasting menu and enjoyed every bite!
