Our entire experience was fantastic! We had a table of eight and the service was great! We ordered a large Friday of different things and the timing at which they brought out the food was perfect! we didn’t feel overwhelmed by the food coming too fast every single thing we ordered was delicious, from the nigiri to the lamb chops. We also ordered quite a few cocktails from the bar and they were all delicious as well. We were there celebrating a birthday and ended up closing the place down, but the servers were not trying to push us out or make us feel uncomfortable about enjoying ourselves. Although it is expensive I feel that it’s worth every penny
Amazing dinner!!
Matsuhisa Vail was truly amazing and delicious. We went there as a group and had truly indulged with the menu. Beforehand, we did let them know that I have a gluten allergy and they were so incredibly careful and considerate. We started with edamame and shishito peppers for the table. From there, miso soup, all of which were delicious. Moving onto the main course, I had the black cod (which is a must-get), the tuna belly and yellowfin sashimi as well as a spicy tuna roll. THESE WERE AMAZING! Some of the best fish that I have ever had.
Wonderful first time experience celebrating our honeymoon can't wait to come back for many anniversaries to come. Service was excellent very clean place and had a wonderful view!

Matsuhisa's brand clearly values staff training as wait staff and sommelier were well prepared to answer our questions and describe our selections. The restaurant is pricey, but the food and service are outstanding.
So much fun to celebrate my birthday here! There were a couple things we knew we wanted but otherwise we let the waitress bring us sashimi and rolls and everything was amazing! Love their house sake too.
By far one of the finest dining experiences we have ever had! Everything was perfect, service was spot on. Just make sure you bring the card with the big balance on it, they are proud of their prices, and honestly, deserve to be. The food was fantastic!!

The food was well prepared and served but the portions were soooo tiny. I don't think I have ever been served dishes with such little food. The prices were very expensive which is fine but I expect decent portion sizes!

The quality & creativity of the food was outstanding. However, there are no menu descriptions so you don’t know what or how to order. It’s almost as if this restaurant is only for sushi connoisseurs. it was very intimidating/ uncomfortable. The service was good but felt rushed (early Monday evening, no wait). Extremely pricey ($30 for 1 sake!) for minimal amount of food. Never spent so much on a dinner that lasted a total of 45 minutes & left hungry!

Fantastic! Really really delicious. I’ve never had the cod lettuce wraps before and those are my new favorite thing! We always have such a wonderful meal every time we come here. Bravo!!

Food was great. Service started off slow, but got better. It was extremely disappointing that after letting you know that it was my husband's 40th birthday and having spent $1k in food, we were never offered dessert nor did he receive a complimentary dessert.

Family dinner on vacation. While it was hard to hear in the restaurant the food was delicious and we enjoyed the house sake!
I requested desserts to be brought to table as a surprise for my daughter’s birthday. They called to confirm reservation and I again asked if they could accommodate my request and they said yes. We arrived and they knew nothing about it. My daughter casually went in as we were waiting to be seated and they announced the birthday dinner to her. So much for the surprise. Then the waitress announced she was bringing something to table. Nothing about our visit was a surprise for my daughter thanks to all of the staff. What a letdown.
