We had a wonderful waiter. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Food was the best sushi place we’ve ever eaten. The spicy tuna app with crispy rice was a fun play on a traditional spicy tuna roll. I also tried the black cod lettuce wrap since chef is known for his preparation of black cod. I was set on getting sushi because where I come from it isn’t that the best. I got a lobster roll and my husband isn’t a fan of sushi, but wanted to try something. The waiter suggested a roll that wasn’t on the menu that had a kick. It was truly fabulous. Enjoy!
Simply amazing. There was no misstep in the service or food.
Great service and great concept. However you will leave broke and still starving.
This was more than dining, it was an experience. The service was exceptional (thank you, Emily), the food was delicious, and the wine was great. Loved the atmosphere.
Absolutely delicious meal! Service was great and helped us choose menu items that were phenomenal and flowed well together. Great for any occasion - totally worth every cent!
Julie was our server and she was fabulous in every regard. Her menu knowledge was matched by her cute sparky personality
Some of the best sushi I have ever had! Great service and helpful recommendations. I highly recommend!
Had an awesome time and an even better meal...as always. Not the cheapest place in town, by far, but well worth it. You will not be disappointed.
All of the food was very good, but the portions were very small. Also, we didn't get the kind of service we expected for that expensive of a restaurant.
Great ambiance and energy inside! Service was pretty good, but not spectacular. Food was amazing. Would highly recommend any sashimi, crispy rice with tuna, and the miso soup (I know, but it’s so good!). The coconut rice pudding is delicious too. We didn’t get any drinks and spent $200 for two people, so just be prepared!
Birthday sons birthday third time chefs choice and they keep getting better
All around amazing. Thanks!
I have no problem paying money for high quality service and food. Matsuhisa failed to achieve the later. I was told that the Omakase was a kaiseki dinner by the waiter, and I paid $125.00 for the experience. I've paid less for Kaiseki meals and received twice the quality both in the USA and Japan. Half of the courses were amazing, the other half were subpar and/or did not blend with the overall experience. For example, one of my courses looked like it should have been a dish garnish, not a main dish. It was cut (uncooked) artichoke with shredded Parmesan cheese. It was dry and tasted like I was be eating grass. Then, another dish that I was given, was a lamb chop with what tasted like a miso mole hybrid. It was on the opposite taste scale as Japanese food. I mentioned as much to the waiter and he told me that this wasn't a Japanese restaurant. Buh? What is the name of the restaurant? What does the website say? Regardless, I didn't like how he was argumentative; especially for a more expensive restaurant, generally they care about the quality and experience the customer has. Disappointing.
Everything was perfect.
The service was outstanding! If have sent an observation on my reservation asking if they could serve a side of fries to my 12 year old son who has autism
They called me a day before confirming, and my son loved the fries.
This gesture enabled me to get to know the place, that is really great.
This is an incredible dining experience. We sat at the sushi bar. The chefs were sweet, personable and helpful ... as was the wait staff. Gorgeous decor, good vibe and fabulous food.
Matsuhisa was by far the BEST meal I have ever had. The Chefs special omakase was truly amazing. It was an experience I will never forget. The Myazaki waygu was an experience that I can not put into words. "Delicious" doesn't do it justice.
Great food and amazing service.
Matsuhisa had incredible food and ambiance. The service was very attentive and kind. As a foodie I’ll say it’s one of the best spots in Denver
Incredible service, ambiance is elegant hitting on many earthy elements, and food is exceptional! I loved the fact you could go light on the pocket book or order 40/oz waygu, $500 sake. I loved the Brazilian flair mixed in with the Japanese. It added a twist to food that I would never think of. My favorite different item was the signature style salmon. My fav that was different but on all sushi menus was dragon roll. The freshness of the shashmi was best I had. Our check for 6 and not going extravagantly as I wish I could afford was $700.
Dennis was the best server. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the most delicious dishes!
Really delicious food! Our waiter was amazing...very knowledgeable and provided nice tasting choices based on our preferences.
Always fantastic! Very pricey so expect to spend a pretty penn
Always a favorite
We had a great time here for my husband’s birthday. Steven, the manager took great care of us. Jeremy recommended wonderful new style sashimi that melted in the mouth 🤤 Rachel provided us with great service. We’ll definitely be back!
One of the finest restaurants in Denver. Very interesting cuisine served creatively. Waiters know the options and are able to describe the alternative preparations.
The fish and rolls tasted old. Ambiance and service were good but for that price I expect high quality food, which we didn’t get.
Dinner was fantastic. Our waitress recommended incredible dishes we loved. Favorites were the spicy tuna with crispy rice starter, spicy rock shrimp, the chicken gyoza. I hope to go back for our next special occasion
Everything was superb!
Great service and great food!
Pete the manager is amazing
Absolutely fantastic! Food and ambiance wonderful, but you pay dearly for it.
Really, really good. Niko and Grant took outstanding care of us.
Everything was good except our server was terrible. Not only did he forget what we had ordered but brought it out incorrectly when we reminded him. Not a good experience given the price of the dinner.
I spent $500 on Sushi and a few cocktails. It is a very pricey dinner to say the least. Amazing quality but very expensive. The rub is, Valet is NOT complimentary. A small price compared to my bill but feels bad.
We go maybe once a year because I forget how insulting this feels.
Amazing food and service

Excellent food even for someone who professes not to eat raw fish. Techno music could go. Worth the spend for a treat.
When you order Snow crab claw cluster for $29 under the house specialties, understand that they serve you tasteless dime size morsels of something that doesn’t even taste remotely like crab!!! Really? A total ripoff.
