Absolutely delicious. We had our server pick several items for us. Everything was exceptional. Can’t wait to go back!
Cocktails and wine list looked incredible too.
Had the Omakase the chef’s creation, took food to another level—flavors and textures. Bravo. Looking forward to returning soon.
Really incredible staff! Very attentive and looking to give you a great experience!
Food quality and presentation were amazing! Exceptional service as well. We will definitely go back!
Knowledgeable wait staff, great ambiance, exceptional dishes and very attentive service. Highly recommended !!
We had to wait 10 minutes for our table. Food was good but not outstanding. Overall overpriced for the experience.
Would i recommend to a friend? Yes for happy hour....the regular prices are insane made worse by the most paper thin cuts of sashimi. I wonder how it is that they can make such thin slices. Here is a tip for the restaurant - lower prices OR cut normal sized fish as compared to many other top sushi restaurants. It just feels blatantly a rip.
Delicious!!! Best fish in Denver hands down. I dream of sweet miso cod :)
The best ever.
It’s all so good! One of the best Sushi restaurants in Denver.
Good sushi but a little overpriced. Very loud, though that could be because it was Valentines Day. All in all a good time if you don’t mind paying a little extra.
Fabulous food and drink. Great service. We love this place and can not recommend it enough.
Quality food at a premium price, certainly one of the best sushi places in Denver.
Food was very average at best. The restaurant itself looks beautiful. Service was good but a little too pushy. The worst part was that they packed us like sardines in (what seemed to be) an effort to fit as many people as possible. We had the worst guest next to us. Basically two younger gentlemen (smelled of marijuana) that continued to swear and speak as loud as possible. They seemed to be embarrassed by the staff which is even more frustrating. Neither the experience or food is worth the price you pay
The ambiance was great, we sat at the sushi bar. The service was outstanding, drop a chopstick, within seconds a new one was presented, go to the restroom, your napkin was folded, running low on champagne, don’t sweat it, they will be there to top you off.
The downsides, we had the omakase at $150 each at the sushi bar, but the sushi chefs do not talk to you or walk you through any journey and watch your speed of eating. The food is not really timed at all, so you can wait 20 minutes for the next dish.
The fish seemed as good as Denver gets, but not that memorable, nothing truly amazing. They did have an oyster with caviar on top, this was really good.
On an 8 course dinner, the last two were boring. A spoonful of noodles and some bad dessert.
The best thing we ate was the A5 Wagyu beef, this is the highest rated beef in the world. Triple seared, crisp on the outside, and fatty in a good way on the inside so it just melts in your mouth.
I would try another location, but I don’t think we will come back here, simply because the fish would probably be better oceanside somewhere.
Matsuhisa has a creative menu and our server was knowledge about the menu and, as a team, they all provided excellent service. But two things: when you pay $360 for a dinner for two, you shouldn’t have to also pay $7 for parking. Also, one dish, live scallop, had some kind of crunchy topping that was incredibly salty. Both my husband and I ate one piece each and then scraped the topping off the remaining pieces. That kind of spoiled the enjoyment of that dish.
My husband and I love to eat out and try a variety of dishes. Each of the small plates had amazing and delicious combinations of flavors. The sea bass with truffle was out of this world! Our finale was a great sauterne and the strawberry shaved ice. It was one of the best desserts we've ever eaten! Our server was excellent as well.
Wonderful experience overall!
Excellent sushi experience. Incredibly helpful staff, delicious fish and wonderfully accommodating for restricted diets.
We went for my wife's birthday and we were not disappointed. The food and service are second to none and every accommodations was made to provide options for those in our party that did not like certain foods. The night's menu was curated perfectly for our table and the wine pairings were spot on.
Incredible!! I’ve been going to nobu for years and it never fails to give us a 5 star experience!!! It’s the best!!!!
Absolutely amazing food and service. Waitstaff is top notch, quick service, and very knowledgeable about the menu. We came on a night that Chef Nobu was there and he was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend the black cod lettuce wraps, the needlefish and live scallop sashimi and the toro tartar caviar. Can’t wait to come back.
Amazing food, very attentive and professional wait staff. Try the mushroom salad!
This is a pretty typical Nobu Matsuhisa restaurant: nice ambiance, excellent wait staff, quiet enough to hear table conversation, very good food prepared simply and very well presented, and relatively small portions for the price. For starters, our table of four had the lobster & beef tacos a serving of edaname, the tuna tataki, and the tuna tartar with caviar. For entrees, we had a chicken dish (white meat only), lamb chops, the hamachi collar, and a salad with tuna. All and all the evening was a fun and enjoyable one, especially because of the company. However, one major faux pas nearly spoiled the entire evening: the dinners for our friends were served at the same time while my wife and I waited nearly a half-hour before our dinners arrived, starters and entrees. To his credit, the manager was prompt in apologizing profusely for the snafu, assuring this was not their standard of service. He did not charge us for our meals, brought us a couple of place holder appetizers to tie us over, and asked us to give the restaurant another chance in the future. Maybe we will, maybe we won't.
