   Portions were tiny. Tina tuna tacos each had two specs of tuna on them. $40 crab cakes silly small Prices very high for this level of dining After years and years of enjoying occasional meals at matchbox, we won’t be back. Waiter was very good

   The restaurant itself is really cool. It's architecturally interesting with several different dining areas to suit just about anyone's taste. When we entered the restaurant, the piped in music was far too loud to conduct any sort of conversation. So we chose the outdoor dining. It was the perfect spot. Despite being only 100 ft from Rockville Pike, there was a high brick wall separating the outdoor dining from the parking lot and the highway. And there was a roof over the outdoor dining that for noise abatement as well as variations in weather and sun was a really great spot to eat. The food was very good, albeit a bit pricey. I had the crab cakes that were $39. I know the price of crab now is quite high and to their credit. While the crab cakes were on the small side, there was an abundance of very large chunks of crab. My negative comment is that I can't understand why the serving of coleslaw was so small. This comment is not unique to matchbox. The serving of fries was in my opinion and for my appetite spot on. Typically restaurants provide far too many french fries yet underserved on the coleslaw which cost next to nothing. My wife had the grilled chicken avocado sandwich and the kitchen neglected to put the avocado on. However, once she realized it our server, Joshua was quick to address it. And Josh was very attentive and very personable.

   The food was great and for the price it was even better. We had an ok server but everything was good overall

   After seeing pictures on Instagram and we decided to give brunch a shot. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. And extremely overpriced for what we had and what was available. Definitely not worth spending almost $200 for four people at a barely mediocre brunch.

   It was a horrible experience. Food was mediocre at best, very dry dehydrated food (pancakes, potato hash, etc). Service was the worst, even though it was buffet style and self serve, we had to ask 4 different staff member for our server and waited over 30 mins. Our group had to stand up and go over to the host stand where we had to wait some more for our server to give us our check. I came to enjoy a birthday brunch meal but it was absolutely terrible. Would never recommend

   Matchbox was our choice for lunch. Tables were well spaced. Staff was attentive. Food was great.

    Good experience pre-prom, good food, a bit pricey but so is everything else in Rockville so can't complain. Convenient location
