Went for bottomless brunch and was pleasantly surprised. The DJ was in the front and they had two food stations. The portions were great and everything was pretty tasty.

Brunch here is consistently amazing — delicious food, top-notch customer service, and a warm, accommodating staff. This was my third visit, and I definitely plan on returning. The only downside is the frequent price increases. While the experience is still worth it, it’s a bit frustrating to see the prices go up without any noticeable changes to the menu.

I asked the waiter if I could substitute salmon in the chicken Cobb salad. The Cobb salad was $21 and the salmon salad was $22, but I didn’t like some of the ingredients in the salmon salad. I was told there would be a slight up-charge. That was fine. Instead I was charged $10.00 to substitute salmon for chicken!! The salad was very good but if you are going to charge 50% more you should state that. I would not have purchased a $31 salad at matchbox! We were a not needy party of 8. The service was marginal at best.

While the food quality and service was okay, the music was far too loud. What really annoyed our entire party of 10 was the misrepresentation in prices for the unlimited brunch. The price on Matchbox Merrifield's website says $35 on the pdf, but the physical menus when we got there quoted $42. At the end when we received our checks, the drink should've all been $7, but some of them (the exact same drink) were billed at $10. That's because, which we weren't informed, the same drink can be normal and "premium." The latter of course being $10. Over half our party of 10 felt scammed by what we got after seeing what our checks were. Definitely couldn't recommend this place to anyone.

While we should have done our research about the all you can eat brunch as the only option here on Saturdays and Sundays, and we would have preferred the option to order off the regular menu, the food choices here were still very good. Pizzas were the best thing we got, but the mini burgers, wings, and chicken and waffles were all good choices. The only lackluster food item was the cinnamon rolls, but even a mediocre cinnamon roll is still pretty good. Service was outstanding, which we really appreciated since constantly bouncing being tables during an all you can eat event must be exhausting. And food was brought to the table very quickly by an array of different staff members. If the was one thing this place could improve on, it’s the very loud DJ mixing songs that reminded me of a mid-90s bar mitzvah. Not sure if brunch really needs a DJ, but either better, more recent, or quieter music, or a table outside, would have added a star to this review.

As always great place, great food and with the weather being so nice we really enjoyed eating outside. The new strawberry goat cheese and chicken salad was terrific. The perfect way to spend a perfect afternoon.
