CUSINES is a hidden gem! I've been going several times each semester. My guests are delighted & amazed.
This bothers me at a lot of restaurants - when serving the next course, please remove the previous course dishes FIRST, then serve the next course. I am not sure what they teach and I know it will take some additional time, but having the patron make room or lift their plate for the next course is really not acceptable. I might as well buss my own table then.
I do enjoy seeing the next generation of chefs/servers and whole heartily support the program!
I enjoyed watching my granddaughter and her class cook. It was nice seeing how the kitchen really works versus on tv. Definitely will be back again. Food was really good and had really great service Micah our waiter was really nice and made me and my daughter patti feel welcomed. He was every nice and helpful and made sure everything was good.
They consistently top the previous visit...who’s is tough to do. I gorge myself on their delicious breads then have to bring home part of the entree. Special touches such as a complimentary canapé, parking validation, etc don’t hurt by any means. Have to mention Service shows great training is in place, but this week was looked after by Lowanda with exemplary attentiveness to timing, add to order, etc. , most pleasant. Dessert was to die for as well. If one can’t find something enticing on their changing menu, then I’d truly be amazed.
Great job Chef John Reiss and students. We’ll be back soon.
Right up there with the best at a much more affordable price point.
My friends and I enjoy Cuisine so much, with lovely menu options, some very sophisticated choices, nice wine pairings, charming service. Thank you for validating our parking, too.
This is a reliably lovely place to eat. My friends and I have a tradition of having a holiday lunch here and we have never been disappointed. Good luck and happy holidays to all students and educators!
Every bite was delicious. The student server was delightful and knowledgable, and the manager/faculty on duty was enthusiastic and informative about the culinary program at MATC. We made another reservation on our way out.
Always fabulous ...bring home food choices as well as have lunch.
delightful! wonderful ambience. our server was pleasant and attentive. we love how different flavors and textures are combined in dinstinctive ways. excellent value!
It is a real treat to go to Cuisine........we don't just recommend the restaurant to family and friends, we take them and buy their lunch and they are always pleased. The food is always good and there are plenty of choices. The servers are well trained and pay attention to details. I also enjoy when the instructors come around and talk with us. We have always had wonderful experiences. Thank you!
I have been coming for years and always enjoy it. MATC should be proud of this wonderful path for students.
5 star dining experience for the price of fast food.
Alex was an excellent server. The chicken and tomatoe soup were exceptional.
It’s a little unfair to compare this restaurant to a typical business, but their food is top notch, so that’s worth celebrating. Otherwise, the front of the house, including waitstaff and ambiance is very much a work in progress or outwardly academic.
Overall, as long as you go in with reasonable expectations, this is a great experience.
The lamb chop was outstanding. Wine (Pinot Noir) was very good, went well with the lamb and priced reasonable
the preparation of every plate is outstanding. a five-star restaurant at family-restaurant prices.
We especially enjoyed the Mexican corn cakes. The lamb and salmon entrees were very good. The desserts were delicious . We tried chocolate torte, creme brul
Always wonderful. Staff is better trained than most restaurants...they’ll make ready and capable for their future endeavors.
Students were very polite and attentive. My only comment was the Shrimp with asparagus and linguine ingredients listed lemon, garlic olive oil and Parmesan. But the linguine sauce seemed heavy as if there was cream added. I have an allergy to dairy but can tolerate a small amount of Parmesan.
Everything else was excellent. The room temperature could have been warmer. I had to wear my down jacket to stay comfortable. Chad was extremely good and conversed with his customers. Ability to explain details of ingredients; blended butter spread. Great smiles from Chad and our server. Attentive to our needs; ie. water refills. Very efficient and fast service.
I didnt know how to pronounce any of the menu items, but I was not disappointed. Everything my friend and I had was amazing. We will definitely return!
Delightful in service, ambiance and staffing. They are on par with the best.
Wonderful. The vegetable lasagne was fabulous—I called to beg for the recipe. Very good service and outstanding food. Really a treat to go there.
Very upscale food at a very good price.
Always a pleasant dining experience! I love the learning environment for the students.
always love dining here, great students and staff,
We love to hear the backgrounds of all the servers and to interact with them. They all have interesting stories and goals!
Attentive, appetizing and all around SUPERB‼️Rabbit with grilled Vega, bean soup and dessert were absolutely the best‼️
The freshness of the ingredients was wonderful. Preparation was excellent. This dining experience is on-par with anything I have had at Bacchus, Sanford's, and The Capital Grille. Service was attentive and well-timed; the interest in our dining pleasure was genuine. Lovely decor: low-key and comfortable.
The lamb entrée was fantastic. There was one problem. My friend ordered a soup with lamb bacon but was brought a soup with shrimp. Other than that, our experience was very positive.
My salmon was not cooked properly. I sent it back and it took 10-15 minutes to get my meal back. My companions had finished eating by that time. This was my 3rd or 4th visit and food was not of the caliber of my other visits. Brocolli salad boring with little or no salad dressing. Cous-cous tasteless also
Great place to go and check out aspiring chefs and their interesting ideas on a relative budget!
Excellent food experience while watching students learn the restaurant business.
Food and presentation were excellent. server was pleasant but lacking in server skills; menus not removed after ordering, not familiar with wine selections, empty plates not removed.
I love this place. The ambiance is lovely, real table clothes. Good wine to match the great food.
I have been dining with you for 30+ years and it justs get better. Front of house is at times a bit rough but I don’t mind. I have introduced many friends to you as well who often say what a gem!!
Dined at Cuisine many times and again it did not disappoint. Food was excellent with wonderful service. Host was pleasant and efficient. Commented to service staff about beautiful napkin folding (looked like a Christmas tree) and server offered to show us how it was done as well as another fold option. Also, had the tropical fruit dome dessert with pineapple sorbet. The sorbet was SO good, my friend asked for a pint to take home and they happily obliged. Will be back again soon!
The steak was perfect, and the service was excellent.
