Outdoor is beautiful. Indoor ambiance could be better. Overall great experience!
I have been to the Matador Room before for brunch but the food options and quality was not the same. It is such a beautiful venue and wonderful customer service but menu definitely needs balancing.
Family Fun trip
Food and atmosphere was fantastic. Only downside was our server seemed overwhelmed. He didn't offer any cocktail menu or ask if we wanted anything besides water. It took him 30 minutes to bring my credit card back after paying. We thought maybe he lost the card because it took so long. Our overall experience with the food was great. We were just a little disappointed with service.
The pictures of meals etc were not representative of the actual food. Food is ok. Is way over priced compared to other good places in the area. Is not worth the money even close. Is a marketing and sales machine with very average food that is very expensive
Unfortunately, parking is/was an issue, and the valet was not very friendly or helpful.
I'm a local who dine out frequently but don't care that kind of attitude.
Food and staff are heavenly!
food was good but juan could not have been less interested in serving us. it was obvious he knew he was guaranteed a tip regardless (18% service charge was already included)
Room is great
Food is limited and on level of corner store.
On top of that it’s expensive. So triple whammy.
The reason I’m giving it it two star is bc the room is nice.
Everything was perfect!! Our server Boris was a delight, he was always attentive to our table making sure everything was fine. Looking forward to returning soon.
Poor food, scattered service. Nice managers. But still paid a ton for disappointing food.
The service was slow and clearly understaffed . Food was nice. Nothing mind blowing. Overall good experience but it’s tome to staff up again.
Everything on the menu is delish.
Let me start off by saying this was one of the most amazing restaurants we have ever been to. The restaurant host( which I regretfully can not remember his name) was so welcoming. As he was escorting us to the table he told us the history of the hotel and the amazing chandelier. Our waiter Michael was very friendly and attentive. We decided to order three of the tapas entrees: the crunchy potato nuggets with Spicy-Tangy Sauce and Rosemary Aioli, wild gulf shrimp with sizzling garlic and chili oil, Griddled Florida Black Grouper Tacos with Aioli and Cabbage-Chili Pickle. They were all so delicious and so unique. For dessert we ordered the JG Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake and Vanilla Ice Cream and Churros with Pineapple Cajeta. The host came over to see how everything was in between the meal and dessert. We told him everything was delicious. He asked what we were ordering for dessert and told him what we chose. He than told us why the chef Jean-George decided to bring the chocolate cake was brought to this restaurant.
Great experience and ambiance
Great room, nostalgic and we wanted to take the chandelier home with us. Octopus with crunchy potatoes and avocado pizza were terrific, beef tenderloin was overcooked but still good and tres leches was scrumptious. Service was friendly and extremely professional from the hostess to our waiter. Outstanding blend of food and fun. Adjacent bar had a 2-piece band playing soft music. Happy grazing!
Our meal was incredible, made all the more special thanks to fabulous service by Liz and Michael. They made our night! Highly recommend the Matador Room for delicious food, a fantastic Miami vibe and unforgettable service.
We eat at the Matador first for it’s warm chocolate cake then the heirloom salad and the lobster. Absolutely love fresh ingredients incorporated to perfection . Mint and micro greens in the dishes . We eat their twice a week when we are in town. Been going for last 3 years and we love our server Pedro. I am a big Jean George follower .
We usually go for our anniversary, but we couldn’t this year because of the pandemic. So we went for my birthday instead. The food is always outstanding and the staff always make us feel special. Particular favorites are the mushrooms with goat cheese, mushroom and kale mole tacos, and arroz con pollo. We will definitely be back!
Great tapas style food.
Definitely a beautiful spot for a special occasion
Nice and quiet place for dinner, maybe too quiet.
Went here alone to celebrate my 30th birthday and was treated very well!
Beautiful space, wonderful staff ...will go again!
Amazing service!! Food was excellent. Bravo!!
We were expecting so much more from a food perspective. The place was really live and the service was great but the food just simply didn’t deliver - not even close. The food was basically average. Very dry short rib taco dish, fairly bland chicken dish - things just tasted like they came from a microwave or a heat up light. Just not worth it unfortunately. Please up your food game Matador Room.
Amazing food, service, and ambiance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Food was good, service was sparse, food was overpriced for quality.
Waitstaff was great! We loved our dinner at The Matador.
Beautiful room, attentive service, delicious food, and great wine list.
Great food, great space, prices compatible with quality.
Took my boyfriend here for Father’s Day. The restaurant was beautiful. The staff and service was impeccable. The food and drinks were great, we love the lobster and the white asparagus. We definitely will one here again and recommend to all my friends and family
Second time here and was hoping for a better experience, the service and attitude of the waiter was terrible.
Fantastic brunch with my 2 young kids, staff were super friendly and accommodating! We will definitely comeback!
Pedro was an amazing server who made us feel welcomed from the second we arrived. All his suggestions were incredible. Beautiful ambiance too! The split pea guac was so fresh and delicious. The Red Snapper ceviche was also a second favorite.
Great place, great food and service. Recomended the mushroom appetizer and mushroom tacos 100%.
Not the best for vegan but does have great options! Ambience is nice outside bar and tables were great!
Best ambiance. Wish I could give it six stars
Great ambience good service. However food was average to good
This was the best dining experience we've had in a long, long time, seated on the terrace overlooking the pool. Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive. We ordered Tapas style, four different dishes. Each time we finished one plate, the next arrived like clockwork. The last was the short rib tacos, which was like a main course, with a thick, tender portion of meat. We mentioned it was our anniversary, and the waitress comped the Sweet Pea Guacamole appetizer. We added a generous tip onto the 18 percent that goes on the bill. Can't wait to go back to the Matador Room/Terrace. Highly recommend starting with the Havana Old Fashioned or the Moscow Mule.
Great food, and service.
