One of our go to places. Awesome food and chefs. Our server tonight wasn’t super present but everything else we loved, as always.
The food was wonderful and our server was outstanding!!!
It was great food as usual!
Twas great. We enjoyed the meal and ambience. Would recommend. Go team.
A great chance to get out of the house. They did a great job of following Covid protocol while making things feel “normal.”
Great sushi and great time!
Overall, great experience the food and service were excellent.
All around excellent sushi experience. The pork belly buns are exceptional
Masu is consistently really a great place to have good sushi. The staff are friendly and attentive. As with all restaurants during this time, Take out has become a huge portion of their time and business. Although I’m very happy that they have enough business to keep open and running smoothly, and I continue with my contributions, the feeling / experience of dining out is different. I miss the older, familiar, ambience of pre Covid Masu as with all the cities other great establishments.
Therefore, I gave 4 stars instead of 5. It’s just the times!
We had a nice variety of food - seaweed salad, fried spring rolls, shrimp tempura steamed buns, a specialty ramen, and yakisoba noodles with tofu. We were too full after all of that to order the sushi rolls we had planned on getting. My favorites were the fried spring rolls and the yakisoba. We plan on going back and getting sushi next next.
Been coming here for years an I love this place! Glad to see they are managing to get through COVID-19.
My boyfriend and I had a great experience for a sushi date night. Our server was absolutely amazing, attentive to our needs, and very kind. The sushi was good and displayed nicely on the plate. We only ordered the sushi but they had a variety of other food options which sounded good. Definitely recommend the Sebastian Joes Raspberry Chocolate Chip icecream! Overall we had a wonderful night and great experience!
Great to be back at Masu- we had missed dining here this past year. The sushi was so good.
We love Masu and are regular customers, more so before the pandemic. This latest visit became a bit concerning when it seemed that more than 50% capacity was reached while we were there. They were seating people in the booths directly on either side of us so there was no 6 ft of separation there - and lots of people began waiting inside, so clearly over capacity there. Those would be my only concerns.
Yet another restaurant using Covid as an excuse to "underwhelm."
Service was excellent! Food delicious, and the environment was clean and welcoming. Much quieter than past trips but they are doing an excellent job maintaining social distancing during pandemic. Loved it
Fun experience, great happy hour pricing on sushi and sake.
First dinner out since the shutdown. Masu never disappoints even with a scaled down menu. Totally understand the scaled down menu due to the restrictions on hours and capacity.
Looking for the best place in town to get Sushi? Masu is where you need to be. They take great care in keeping everyone safe and accommodate requests.
Overrated place, food is so so. Ambience is ok.
It’s Covid times but we wanted to fine I. Somewhere to celebrate a friend’s new job. Getting a reservation at Masu was easy. There was plenty of space between tables, plexiglass dividers separating the patrons from the fold at the bar. The menu is reduced but has all of Nadu’s classics on there. Service was solid. No complaints. I was a fan of Nadu before Covid and I would say it’s tops of my short list of where I want to go out during Covid.
Visited for the first time and loved the Ramen! Our Sushi roll was very good as well!
It is a place I love to frequent given the delicious food and atmosphere!
The food was a delicious as usual and I had a fun drink from their menu. I would recommend the restaurant.
Nice atmosphere and good food.
Masu is probably the most consistent restaurant in the Twin Cities, largely to low staff turn over and a friendly head chef who is a staple at the sushi bar. Although Rona has the menu reduced, everything still being served is made with the same fresh ingredients and care. Been dozens of times and never disappointed! Yum!!!!
Long wait for
Sticky Buns with Tempura Shrimp were outstanding. Waitress was very understanding on food preferences. Food was served one course at a time, which was perfect. Very enjoyable evening.
Masu is one of our neighborhood favorites. This was our first time back dining inside since the shutdown (COVID) and everything was delicious. They have taken every precaution to create a safe dining experience, so we look forward to coming back soon.
Good appetizers. Followed COVID rules well. Like the sushi.
Love this place! Amazing food and great service.
Excellent service and outstanding food. Felt extremely safe dining here in light of COVID times. Masu does an incredible job observing safe practices. Will definitely be back!
It seemed like I’ve had way better quality in the past.
Covid 19 sucks, I’m not sure if the menu was slimmed down, but I remember having more choices.
Overall we had a good experience, it just seemed like maybe the food could have been better/more fresh?
Service was great!! Cocktails were a ginger margarita--flavorful with a little heat at the end, delicious! Pork belly steamed buns, Yakisoba with pork belly, Firecracker Uramaki, all worth having again. Complimentary sake completed a wonderful meal. Definitely will repeat soon!!
We made reservations and once we were seated it took 25 minutes for a server to even look at our table. There were about five tables around us that were being served, including a table that was seated at the same time as we were, but we got missed.
Menu is very small right now, call in advance to make sure they have what you're looking for.
Food was good once we got it.
Great service. Great food. Due to COVID it was out first venture out to a restaurant. Masu helped us feel comfortable while dinning. Thank you.
A big round of applause to the chefs! They deserve a big tip! The chefs greet you and say goodbye as you leave, AND serve you your sushi (which by the way is phenomenal.) The servers themselves seemed like they didn’t want to be there though. The food and atmosphere was great. Only downside is expect to spend over 100$ for two people it’s very spendy!
Fantastic food and service. Our first visit since the pandemic, really glad Masu is back.
Great food as always. Cocktails by Erin were spot on. Our server was delightful.
The patio is on a main road and there was a frequent smoker standing on the corner off and on through a good chunk of our meal but overall, happy to be back!
Masu is always great. Honestly it is a bit different during time. Still a great place to drink and dine.
