   Service was good and people were friendly. Sushi was mediocre at best during this visit. Not what I’d expect from this restaurant (pre-pandemic was my previous experience, which was great). Ingredients were missing from the roll, spicy rolls had no flavor/spice, and spring rolls were falling apart as they were poorly assembled. I really hope this isn’t representative of Masu nowadays, not sure I’ll go back for quite sometime.

   Too loud, confusing menu. One printed special menu for four people. Soft spoken waitresses. The food is good, not delicious.

   The service was very helpful and knowledgeable about the different aspects of each dish. The appetizer & Entrees were great. I would not get dessert again. Fairly loud by the kitchen, and with noise coming from the bar. I hope something could be done about that. Overall solid experience.

   Omg… what super quality sushi they have! I’m rather picky about sushi and we are in town from out of state. This sushi rules and the atmosphere is wonderful too!

   We had a wonderful evening! Service was great, and the food was off the charts. The pork belly steamed buns were my favorite!

   The Masu and Firecracker rolls were prepared MUCH differently than in the past. The sauces were clearly not the same. Probably a chef was not trained properly. The firecracker roll was covered with what tasted like ketchup. To be fair, the buns were prepared properly and tasted normal. Overall, it was a very disappointing meal--the first we have ever had in years at Masu. It was so bad that my wife and I discussed not going to Masu in the future and to investigate other restaurants. I would suggest giving my wife and me a free meal and a note what happened and what actions Masu has taken. Prior to this, my wife and I thought Masu was the best sushi restaurant in the Twin Cities. Obviously, I would not spend the time to write a review unless it was important to me. Prior to this, Masu was our favorite restaurant. Dave Solberg

    If you're looking for quality or authentic Japanese cuisine, you might want to look elsewhere. The food was mediocre at best and overpriced. However, the service was efficient and friendly.
