Masseria dei Vini
Restauranteur Pino Coladonato, Peppe Iuele and Enzo Ruggiero have teamed up again with Interior Designer Libby Langdon, bringing you a modern update version of "Masseria". In the region of Puglia, in South Italy, Masseria were Fortified Farmhouses, and many of them now have been transformed into Restaurants or Hotels.
Executive Chef Pino Coladonato, native of Rutigliano (Bari), has created a menu that blends traditional with modern without overpowering one or the other.
The Menu features typical dishes from Puglia, such as "Crudo", the Italian word for "Raw", made with fish and shellfish, a lot of fresh homemade pastas and Ravioli.
The menu also offers Gourmet Pizza Neapolitan style.
The Restaurant offers an extensive wine by the glass program and a large selection of wine bottles, mainly from Italy, but without ignoring the rest of the world.
This place is a gem. The food is outstanding. The service is impeccable. The ambiance is very nice. I am vegan and have found them to be very accommodating. And I have taken many friends and family to this restaurant who are not vegan and they all rave about it.
Great food. We don’t eat meat and there was a lot to chose from in the menu. Waiter gave excellent recommendation on bottle of wine. Overall service was outstanding. Definitely coming here again.
Wonderful, friendly service. Delicious food. Upscale, but not pretentious.
Excelente comida y excelente atención.
Davide y César fueron especialmente amables.
Food and service Great, if you want to make romantic dinner, this is the place.
Had a great family dinner last Sunday. Service was extremely attentive to my kids and the food was spot on. Thank you so much Masseria dei Vini!
Masseria dei Vini is now one of my favorite Italian restaurants in NYC. Even though it is in another neighborhood (horror of horrors), I'm sure we will be back.
Every we had -- from the fresh burrata and eggplant appetizer, to the lasagna, seafood risotto, and agnolotti were excellent. I highly recommend Masseria.
The total restaurant experience here is a credit to the management, the floor staff and the kitchen. They work as a TEAM to create a memorable dining experience. Everything combined to create a memorable dining event, from the Baked Calamari to the Sea Bass and Sea Bream. The Apple tart was in a class by itself. The wine selection, Bin 1122 (Arnes 2016) was excellent. I want to make a special not of the Bartender who made one of the best Martinis (Vodka) that we have enjoyed in a long time. it was a pleasure returning there for another great meal, and we look forward to going back again.
Great staff & delicious dinner.
Wonderful food and ambiance. Greatly enjoyed the special Bronzino and Ravioli with mushrooms. Will be back soon!
Superb in all ways. The food was first rate, the wine list excellent and the atmosphere elegant and genial.
Nice restaurant, good italian food. Nice people, good wine. Fresh food, all kind
MDV is a very good Italian restaurant in an unassuming location. The interior is modern -- highlighted by a very decadent marble bar. The food is quite good, but perhaps not as good as the prices charged; it's expensive. Service is adequate. It's noisy when busy but no much that it ruined a one-on-one dinner. Needless today, it's good for a group.
Near Columbus Circle, with a wonderful menu full of Piemontese delights like grilled rabbit as well as dorado and bronzino, plus wonderful pizza and pastas.
Waited over an hour for our meal. Food not what we are accustomed to. Pathetic explanation by condescending waiter for delay
Excellent restaurant. Enjoyed celebrating my sons bday.
The broccoli rabe was cooked to perfection! I found a Pinot Noir I really liked and rarely see. The servers need to communicate better with one another and the customers. It’s a pricey neighborhood favorite.
As always, Masseria dei Vini never disappoints. The staff is always accommodating and helpful, the service is excellent and the food is delicious with daily specials that are always hard to choose from.
Definitely my favorite restaurant in my new neighborhood.
I might even like it better for lunch than dinner - it’s quieter.
Food & service are excellent for lunch or dinner.
People I brought liked it too (they were celebrating an anniversary).
Excellent Food and service! The problem I have was the pricing. I thought it was a bit to high for me. I feel Italian food , although it was fresh should not be priced so high. The most basic Pasta with red sauce is 24.50. That's too much, I think 20 at the most for a dish like that. Outside of pricing the rest was fantastic!
Everything was fantastic. Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, excellent staff. Wonderful experience. Beautiful menu and they will make you anything you want!
Been here a few times and every time has been great!
Absolutely superb food. Great atmosphere. Fantastic and friendly service. Our waiter Vincenzo was very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend many thanks
yes we were very happy everything was great i would return very soon to try other dishes
Food was amazing! Servers were attentive. Only service downside was we were talking alot (date night) and we ate slow so our dinner was brought out before we were finished with our appetizer. The runner/server was quick to pull out the table extension so we could keep all the dishes and take our time talking while still eating and enjoying.
Nice place. Up to date decor , pleasant waitstaff
Would have given 5 stars had they remembered that it was a birthday dinner for my mom ( I had mentioned it when booking it on here and to the lady who confirmed the resey the day before ) . A candle on one of the desserts we had ordered would have been a nice touch.
We dined at Masseria dei vino a couple of nights ago and unfortunately we won’t be going back. We had been there previously and liked the food so we decided to go back before going to the theater. Our experience this time wasn’t as pleasurable; the appetizer special that we ordered was finished and without mentioning it to us they served us a different one. When we said it wasn’t the one we requested they brought us another one that again wasn’t the one we were expecting. The main course was decent but for what you pay you want more than decent. Lastly we ordered an apple crostata for dessert and we got nothing that resembled a crostata, in fact it was an apple tart and it wasn’t even warm. Given that we spent almost $200 we weren’t satisfied.
Food and service was great
Excellent service and the food was exceptional
So-so. Food not that great for a restaurant poising as 3+ stars.
Excellent and authentic Italian. Decent sized portions. The burratta for 2 was creamy & delicious. The tomatoes were the best we have had since our last trip to Italy. The Veal Milanese was very tasty. Margherita pizza was delicious...could have used more cheese. We would highly recommend.
It’s our fav restaurant in the City, and the team is amazing at customer service. We’ve never had a bad meal. If you haven’t dined here big mistake, it’s a hidden GEM. Love this place.
Fabulous food get the masseria pizza as a must
It was a 10. Definately return.
Abbiamo scelto per la cena di San Valentino questo ristorante ,cibo buono e italiano ,servizio del cameriere eccellente con lingua italiana .Prezzo nei canoni della città
took my elderly aunt there.....stafff very helpful and frindly wit her.......food was very good with selection of specials........when is starts to get crowded it's a bit noisy but well worth dining there.......our waiter was very good and professional with a bit of fine humor....he did a great job will return
Overall nice experience, but the food was not a "knock your shoes off" level of food. Staff was attentive and friendly. A little pricey. Dinner for four with a bottle of riesling, one cocktail and 2 deserts was $363. Main dishes were a fish, a pork chop and 2 pasta dishes.
Food and service were absolutely outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and look forward to going back.
One of my favorite Italian restaurants ... for good reason!
IT WAS GREAT!!!!!!
