Masseria dei Vini
Restauranteur Pino Coladonato, Peppe Iuele and Enzo Ruggiero have teamed up again with Interior Designer Libby Langdon, bringing you a modern update version of "Masseria". In the region of Puglia, in South Italy, Masseria were Fortified Farmhouses, and many of them now have been transformed into Restaurants or Hotels.
Executive Chef Pino Coladonato, native of Rutigliano (Bari), has created a menu that blends traditional with modern without overpowering one or the other.
The Menu features typical dishes from Puglia, such as "Crudo", the Italian word for "Raw", made with fish and shellfish, a lot of fresh homemade pastas and Ravioli.
The menu also offers Gourmet Pizza Neapolitan style.
The Restaurant offers an extensive wine by the glass program and a large selection of wine bottles, mainly from Italy, but without ignoring the rest of the world.

Dinner at Masseria was great. The bar seating is great, the bar tender very attentive and great service. Food is well worth the price. Pasta freshly made. Exquisite dinner!!!!
For was very good and the service was great
So glad this neighborhood gem is still here! Love the food and the wait staff is always welcoming and wonderful!
We were taking our friend for his birthday. The food average and actually I didn’t like my Angelina ravioli to much sauce. My husband just wanted a little coffee In his cappuccino
cup and the waiter was rather put out instead brought him a cup of American coffee of which we were charged and he didn’t ask for. Have been to places less fancy and had better food and service. Very disappointed.
Masseria dei Vini never disappoints. The service is impeccable, the food is delicious. We have been dining here since it opened and it hasn't lost a step. Highly recommend.
Note that it is very loud in the restaurant. If you have any hearing conditions, you might want to eat at one of the lovely outdoor tables.
Good was awesome. We sat outside. Service was good. Would recommend.
Good neighborhood restaurant. Great service and food.
Very tasty, traditional high end Italian food. The place was lovely, the service friendly and efficient and the food tasty. It is on the pricey side, but for the location, even that wasn't too bad. Perfect for date night.
The service was amazing. Menu had a great selection with many specials.
Food was delicious. Highly recommend.
excellent food and outstanding service. especially the pizza
Service not the level it used to be pre pandemic..
Seated quickly upon arrival. Outdoor seating were ok but sheltered. Squid ink pasta was excellent. Clams were not as fresh. Fish was alight
Waiters servers were all polite and very attentive for their guest.
a superb place ....wonderful staff and management. they value guests and treat you like family. food rates some of the best...cheesecake is the best in a city known for it. always a winner. thanks.
Never disappoints. I've been dining here for years and the food is always excellent, the drinks are great, and service is outstanding.
They have a good sized outside dining area.
Good artichoke avocado and pistachio salad. We split the Bronzino and it was just enough
Always amazing! Fresh and the service is above and beyond.. Calamari is a go to. Pasta is generous portions and the sauce is made in house.
Nice atmosphere. Fish was good. Recommend as a place to go with friends. Sufficiently quiet.
Wonderful dinner experience. Wait staff was quick and helpful.
We sat outside which is much less quiet and has no ambience, but in the age of Covid a very good idea. Food is the same and that was excellent.
Very good service
Wonderful large portions
Excellent wine list and value
Amazing food. Great service. I've been their theater district restaurant and wanted to try this. Perfect.
OUR FIRST VISIT. THE SERVICE WAS ATTENTIVE WITHOUT BEING OVERBEARING. WE DID NOT FEEL RUSHED. THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD, ENOUGH CHOICES OF CLASSIC ITALIAN FARE. THE OCTOPUS
APPETIZER WAS VERY GOOD AS WAS THE MONK FISH SPECIAL. ALSO VELA STUFFED RAVIOLI. WILL RETURN SOON.
Always a wonderful experience! We did the restaurant week menu and the gnocchi and fish dishes were fabulous. The calamari, stuffed cheese and salad apps were great. We supplemented with a must have fried zucchini and wrapped up with the spot on espresso martinis! Definitely a neighborhood gem!
Other than the service of the dessert, everything was outstanding.
Masseria dei Vini is a lovely gem, near enough to Lincoln Center to be a good choice for pre-concert/opera, and far enough away from the usual LC eateries to be calmer and less intense.
My partner and I live just around the corner from Masseria dei Vini, and have meaning to try it out since we moved to the neighborhood. It did not disappoint. The ambiance was relaxing, the service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. An assortment of bread was brought to the table which was very fresh and tasty. We shared a pizza as an appetizer with smoked mozzarella, broccoli rabe, and Italian sausage. Yum! Then we both ordered pasta dishes - penne ala Masseria and the veal agnolotti. Both dishes were fantastic. Finally we finished with the apple tart and espresso for dessert, and it was the perfect ending to a lovely meal. We will definitely be back many more times in the near future. A definite place to visit in the city. Thank you Masseria dei Vini for a beautiful lunch!
Wonderful dinner at Masseria dei Vini. Delicious mista salad to start. The homemade pappardelle with shrimps and calamari was simply out of this world. The apple tart was superb. The service was excellent and the dining room is beautiful. I look forward to going back very soon.
We went for Restaurant Week knowing the delicious food offerings. Everything was outstanding from the appetizers (minestrone soup, baked calamari, mozzarella stuffed with prosciutto) to the main entrees (sea bream with mashed potatoes, gnocchi in red cream sauce) to the desserts (tiramisu, sorbet with berries). Service was exceptional … perfectly attentive without being interruptive. We drank several glasses of excellent red and white wine. Having chosen outdoor dining the street traffic added to a quintessential NYC experience. Thank you Johnny for being so accommodating from giving us outdoor seating to charging my iPhone while we dined to bringing an extra chair for my large purse! Everyone laughs when I tell them that I asked you what the soup would be tomorrow and you told me “It is soup of the day not soup of tomorrow.”
Service was curt, server unfriendly. The noise level was a cacophony of sound, making it difficult to speak to others at our table. The pasta and pizza had way too much cheese and just wasn’t good. Our party of 4 ordered dessert, which was disappointing for half the party. The tiramisu and gelato were fine, but the lemon cake and tartufo were among the most disgusting things I’ve ever tasted. I wouldn’t go back.
Best Italian food classic traditional great wine list lovely athmosphere

The food was really good, but I am not ranking the restaurant higher because the prices were so much more in the restaurant than on the online menu. This was embarrassing because my friend was treating and asked me to pick a place, and had I known what the prices were we would have probably gone elsewhere.
service was amazing. pizza was excellent. tiramizu melted in your mouth. mozzarella is interesting.
Very elegant and great service
Beautiful restaurant and staff you are treated like royalty!
