Masseria dei Vini
Restauranteur Pino Coladonato, Peppe Iuele and Enzo Ruggiero have teamed up again with Interior Designer Libby Langdon, bringing you a modern update version of "Masseria". In the region of Puglia, in South Italy, Masseria were Fortified Farmhouses, and many of them now have been transformed into Restaurants or Hotels.
Executive Chef Pino Coladonato, native of Rutigliano (Bari), has created a menu that blends traditional with modern without overpowering one or the other.
The Menu features typical dishes from Puglia, such as "Crudo", the Italian word for "Raw", made with fish and shellfish, a lot of fresh homemade pastas and Ravioli.
The menu also offers Gourmet Pizza Neapolitan style.
The Restaurant offers an extensive wine by the glass program and a large selection of wine bottles, mainly from Italy, but without ignoring the rest of the world.
The food is consistently delicious. The service is excellent
The food was AMAZING!!!! The atmosphere are service was fantastic! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant! Above all you MUST finish with the cheesecake!!!!!
Excellent food and service
Excellent restaurant close to Columbus Circle and Lincoln Centre. Great food, fresh past short rib ragu. Great wine display, hard to fault, as quiet as we ate at the end of lunch session. Would recommend.
Excellent this place is amazing great food waiters are so nice friendly great wine !!!
As always- Wonderful!
Pricey food and loud ambience interrupted an otherwise enjoyable meal at Masseria dei Vini. $14 for a salad with just 4 or 5 leaves of lettuce left me annoyed, and this probably impaired the rest of my experience. The atmosphere is so loud that we couldn't hear each other speaking at a table of 5. The string beans with tomato were delicious; the squid ink pasta was fine but not memorable. The desserts were fair. Not my favorite restaurant by a long shot. But reliably decent.
Food was delicious and service couldn’t have been better!
Great food & service, casual, but classy atmosphere-good for family & friends dining.
I have always enjoyed this restaurant, especially when Carlo was the host. Since then things have not been as special. The major complaint/question I have is “why does this elegant Italian restaurant serve mashed potatoes on every dish.”Surely some imaginative Italian chef can think of something more fitting.
Food not very good given the price
Service very rushed
Mashed potatoes pea pods and shredded carrots served with all entres not very Italian
Food was simply amazing. Friendly staff made our dining experience wonderful. We had Masseria salad, seafood cavatelli pasta and cheese cake. All were perfect.
Really nice lunch with very attentive service. We all had different dishes and they were well enjoyed.
Food and service was quite good. The noise level in the restaurant, however, is way too loud. Almost impossible to have a intimate conversation for two let alone for a table with more than two individuals.
Wonderful Italian food. Superior sea food and the best veals cutlets I have ever eaten.
Service and wine were excellent.
A below the profile gem!
Food was fresh and tasty. Plenty of service to a fault, as soon as the app was finished the entree was on the table, but they are on it otherwise. A little over priced, but I would definitely return.
I'm always hesitant to rate anything a 5... but this IS an exception.
The service was impeccable, the ambiance is perfect and the food was exceptional.
We shared 3 entrees, each more delicious than the other! A MUST go to place.
Nothing better than a restaurant that is consistently excellent. Food and service are always terrific!
Great food! We were 20mins late for our reservation and still accommodated us!
The food and service were excellent with good ambiance. MdV is great value for the $$$.
Exceedingly loud!!!! Couldn’t hear each other. They’ve got to get some sound absorption. I wouldn’t return.
This remains our go-to restaurant before Lincoln Center. Food is always perfectly prepared, all servers are professional and personable and Andrea makes the excellent wine list even better!
Great service. Took us early for our reservation. Outstanding as always.
We love this restaurant! Wonderful location. Easy to get to pre or post show! The doors is fresh, interesting and presented beautifully!
This wasn’t my first time and I hope to go back soon. Delicious food, best pizza, very nice ambience, great service, very good choices of wines and also important to me is that the restaurant must be quite and this it is, which I loved it.
Went for a pre-show dinner with our Moms and it was great! Had the calamari appetizer, pizza, bolognese pasta and ravioli angelina and they were all delicious. Service was polite and quick and friendly. The atmosphere was white tablecloth and comfortable. The sorbet dessert was a yummy ending.
nice place. nice food! initially, the place was very noisy... but then... it became quiter. Ate lobster risotto. Very good. Large amount on plate.
great food, elegant place
Wonderful Italian restaurant.
Feels more like locals than tourists.
My colleague and I were able to get a short notice reservation and enjoyed our meal very much. We each had specials and a glass of wine - all recommended by our waiter who was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely go back!
We live in Times Square and have been dying for authentic Italian - This place hits the mark every time! We bring family and friends for all our celebrations because we know the dinner, AND dessert, will be delicious. The service is at the right level of attentiveness, and we always enjoy ourselves.
This was our first time at this restaurant, recommended by the concierge at our hotel. Not what we expected - not one item on the menu with a red sauce! But everything we had was delicious!! Service was excellent, and they have GREAT bartenders! Hubby had a baked salmon with a very light mustard sauce - yummy! I had one of the daily specials, a veal chop in a port wine sauce - also yummy! Desert was a great tiramisu for hubby, and a flowerless chocolate almond cake for me -- truly special!! We can't wait to visit New York again to eat here...
We were looking for authentic Italian food and found it! Food was amazing and the atmosphere was beautiful. Wait staff super friendly and helpful.
Masseria dei Vini is a lovely restaurant, located on 9th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen, just below Columbus Circle. The food was delicious--particularly the roasted quail and the Pugliese pizza. The wine list has very nice selections. My only complaint is that the menu and wine list are priced a bit high. Still, we had a very nice dinner, and we thought the service was excellent.
We have been to this restaurant many times and always enjoy it. That’s why it was disappointing that one of us was served over cooked halibut. The other dishes were excellent including a risotto with lobster and an excellent pasta special.
The service was friendly and efficient. We were out in time to go to our concert without feeling rushed.
Food was good; too much salt in zucchini. Fish was good. Staff is very efficient though main course took too long to come. Noise level was good so could talk easily. Good food. Solid restaurant.
I still cannot get over how delicious this meal was. Fresh pasta was incredible, marinated zucchini that came with the burrata was perfectly done. However the most amazing part of the meal was dessert- the ricotta cheesecake. I’ve had a lot of desserts in my life and this by far was the best desserts I’ve ever eaten. I will definitely visit again the next time I’m in nyc.
Great place excellent food and great service !!! Fantastic wines
