Masseria dei Vini
Restauranteur Pino Coladonato, Peppe Iuele and Enzo Ruggiero have teamed up again with Interior Designer Libby Langdon, bringing you a modern update version of "Masseria". In the region of Puglia, in South Italy, Masseria were Fortified Farmhouses, and many of them now have been transformed into Restaurants or Hotels.
Executive Chef Pino Coladonato, native of Rutigliano (Bari), has created a menu that blends traditional with modern without overpowering one or the other.
The Menu features typical dishes from Puglia, such as "Crudo", the Italian word for "Raw", made with fish and shellfish, a lot of fresh homemade pastas and Ravioli.
The menu also offers Gourmet Pizza Neapolitan style.
The Restaurant offers an extensive wine by the glass program and a large selection of wine bottles, mainly from Italy, but without ignoring the rest of the world.
Fabulous Italian tastes. Homemade buffalo mozzarella with eggplant was amazing; fish could not have been fresher. Loved the warm ambiance.
Very authentic, fresh food! Handmade pasta was delicious!!! One of the best Italian dinners we've had!
Great Italian restaurant. Amazing food and reasonable prices. The black truffle pork chops are to die for. We had a reservation for 7 at 7:30 but they were able to accomodate us when we showed up at 6. Excellent service and ambiance. A must visit in Hell's Kitchen.
This is the 3rd or 4th time my wife and I have dined here and we have always experienced a lovely time. The staff is professional from being greeted at the door to busing the table, quality throughout.
Everything was fine
There are an abundance of Italian restaurants in New York City and few stand out as exceptional. Masseria dei Vini is one. My husband and I shared a salad, pasta course and a main dish. The portions were just enough. All courses were well prepared and presented. There was a great wine list with a price range in each category . The wait staff were exceptional, attentive, friendly but not hovering. A very enjoyable and relaxing evening.
Awesome Italian restaurant! Location on 9th Ave and 57th wouldn't seem like a place to find such a high quality restaurant. Our meals were terrific and the service was also outstanding. Our truffle pizza with robiola was amazing with just the right amount of cheese (this pizza at Bella Blue is always much heavier). We also really enjoyed the butterflied veal chop (a special) and the veal Milanese. Our meal was really outstanding--even the homemade bread sticks stood out for their taste and crispiness! We will definitely return to try more items from their menu.
The meal at Masseria was truly extraordinary. We began by sharing an avocado/ artichoke salad with pistachio nuts. It was one of a kind. As an entree, I had the sliced pork with black truffle sauce. The meat was tender and sauce was amazing. My wife was daring and ordered the calves liver with blueberry vinegar which she adored. We shared a slice of ricotta cheese cake which was the creamiest one that I had ever eaten. The wine list is extensive with a full range of prices.
This just may be our new go to restaurant in NYC.
Outstanding food and impeccable service.
Excellent meal, great experience, highly recommended.
This is a gem. Food was delicious, but it all starts with the 5 star greeting and the ambience. Beautiful decor. Food had that perfect presentation and the tastes were multi-layered. Lots of options. The clams special was incredible- big, juicy clams, and we enjoyed the eggplant cakes as an appetizer. We had theatre tickets and they were mindful to not rush, but get us out in time. Delightful.
This was our first time dining at Masseria Dei Vini after a show at Jazz at Lincoln Center. We were extremely pleased with our experience. The hostess seated us right away despite the fact that we were 15 minutes early. Drinks and food were absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Mario, was outstanding and very engaging. We are definitely coming back. Great find!
The restaurant is very noisy. The food was very good but we felt rushed. My companion ordered a martini to start and they brought it with our dinners. One of the wait staff kept checking our plates to see if we were finished yet, and then cleared them as soon as our forks were put down. It was not a relaxing meal. If I am going to pay that much for dinner I would like to be able to take the time to enjoy it.
Love it there!
We've known La Masseria on 58th for many years, and only recently learned of Masseria Vini and had to visit. The entire experience was outstanding, from the perfect martinis to the excellent octopus to the squid ink pasta and the branzino. The entire meal was memorable.
Very polite host and hostess seated us promptly. We were seated in the back of the restaurant. Not a prime location. The salad was good but too much dressing. Main course of spaghetti was excellent. Not too many plain pasta choices. They could put a few more offerings on the menu for chicken as well. Overall a good dinner.
The food is superior to most restaurants in the area. I've never had a meal there that wasn't wonderful. Good service and management also help. My only problem is that after a certain hour the noise level makes it difficult to talk without shouting....which of course adds to the noise level. But it's an outstanding restaurant.
An unexpected haven in the area it is in, love the white table cloths. Service, food, ambiance all good!
Three of use had a great dinner. Three of us each had an appetizer, one salad, meatballs and carpaccio. The grilled tuna and pork chop specials were, indeed, special. Frankly the best port chop I ever had. The service was great and the wine list excellent, especially the Italian bottles. No one wonder my family loves this place.
Food and service were exceptional. Thanks.
The dishes was creative, the food terrific and sercice A1
Masseria dei Vini serves authentic and delicious Italian food. My husband could not praise the grilled baby octopus highly enough, and I felt like I was in Bergamo while eating my gnocchi with Taleggio and radicchio. The only better gnocchi I have tasted were in my cousins' homes in Italy. I also love the waitstaff in the restaurant; they make me feel at home, appreciated, and even loved -- partly because they serve me such outstanding food and partly because they treat me like I am cousin in one big Italian family!
took my hubby here for his bday dinner. I had been once before. He had the duck and I had the ravioli. They were both excellent. Ordered a bottle of wine and it was fab. The staff was very good and friendly and the restaurant is beautiful. Will definitely be back.
Pleasant, airy restaurant. Good service, food delicious. Good choice for Lincoln center dining.
The food was delicious and the service impeccable!
we really enjoyed our dining experience at Masseria de Vini. food was delicious. I had the pompano special with broccoli di Rabe. My fellow diners had pasta bolognese, antipasto, various salads short ribs. we had a Brunello di montalcino wine. Desserts were not as strong as the rest of the meal (almond cake, ice cream trio). Coffee came out before the desserts. My friend would have preferred for coffee with the dessert. Service was attentive without being obtrusive. I got the sense that there were a lot of "regulars" but we felt very welcome as first time visitors. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. We look forward to returning.
Great and friendly service from their Italian waiters. Excellent environment, reasonable wine list and many delicious choices.
High level Italian cuisine. Quiet and serious dining. Felt I was in Rome or Milan.
Some of our party was unable to come due to a medical issue and the restaurant was very gracious as we
had to reduce our number. Dinner and service was excellent and look forward to our next visit.
Fantastic wait staff and food was delicious! Lovely inside. Only suggestion is the lentils that come as a topping with the bread is so-so. Not a whole lot of flavor.
Fabulous black truffle risotto. Pork chop with truffle sauce was large and delicious.
Service, food, staff were excellent. Greeted warmly at the door and the great experience continued until we left.
Food was absolutely terrific and so was the service. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Simply excellent service and delicious food! We will be back!
Delicious Italian cuisine & cocktails. Definitely going back.
Love the restaurant but it’s very noisy
Food and drinks (Wine) good. Service very nice and efficient.
This place is a gem. The food is outstanding. The service is impeccable. The ambiance is very nice. I am vegan and have found them to be very accommodating. And I have taken many friends and family to this restaurant who are not vegan and they all rave about it.
Great food, wonderful dessert - hot Apple tart with icecream
