About

Guests can experience the authentic flavors indigenous foods that make up the Southern food experience in modern day Nashville.
Had a reservation. Confirmed day before. Got there sign said closed. Called number said manager called in so couldn’t open. Really. Ate in bar.
Very good food and wonderful staff
Great Menu and excellent service for A wonderful New Years Eve dinner.
They update their menu every quarter, but don't update it on the website. We have food allergies so we read the menu before coming and knew we had options for both of us. But the menu we read wasn't the menu we found when we got there — and we were unable to put together a meal we could safely eat. We told our poor waiter (who also had to read the recipes to find out if something had potatoes in it — apparently no one in the kitchen could answer his questions) why we were leaving. He said we were the second people THAT evening with this same issue (menu on website not matching menu in restaurant and being an issues for people with allergies).
Our first Thanksgiving in Nashville was nicely spent in a well thought out setting. The music was soothing. The food was great and plenty. The service was professional.
We’ll definitely return.
Our family enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet at Loews! The food was excellent...including shrimp, oysters and stone crab claws as appetizers. The dressing was just as good as my mother used to make. And the service was outstanding! Would do this again next year!
Terrible food, only one server in the place. The “lobster” pasta came out cold, smelled extremely fishy and was imitation crab meat at best. NY strip was supposed to be medium, came out well done and covered with toppings to mask the fact that it didn’t look like a steak. Overall horrible experience, but honestly felt sorry for the server. He was running around fixing mess after mess at each table. I would not recommend.
Very good food. Was quiet and set up nice. The ruben sandwich was so good
Mother’s Day brunch was FABULOUS!
I purchased tickets for the Easter brunch. It was very awkward ordering because the waitress had no idea how it worked and didn’t explain anything to us. The listing claimed it was a brunch buffet, and that was not the case. I had my two young children with me and paid $120 for the three of us and definitely didn’t feel like we got near that in value. The steak i ordered was absolutely terrible. It had so much fat tissue I couldn’t cut through it and it had no flavor. Over all it was a disappointing experience and i will not be back or recommend to anyone. I was embarrassed to complain because i was seated with new friends and didn’t want to spoil anyone else’s experience.
Easter brunch
The waiter is extremely nice
We had a nice brunch before a trade show held at Loews. The oysters on the half shell were delicious!
Great find in the hotel. A QUIET place for a relaxing dinner. Beware the desserts. My chocolate cake could have fed 8 people. Too sad, such a waste. Otherwise great meal.
Menu changed from what was posted online
Food is mediocre for the price. My husband, myself and son went there for Thanksgiving buffet ($70/ person and tacked on gratuity right off the bat). Arugula was wilted, chinese dishes were hard and cold, short rib was cold and dried in tio fromthe food heater i suppose. Duck confitbwas good enough. Desserts were satisfying. Service was great! We will definitely going back there again. OFF my list forever
The Thanksgiving Brunch was outstanding! Food was delicious, service was excellent, and we had a great time!!
Thanksgiving brunch! So glad it’s back for 2018! Food was exceptional! Band was a little loud but that was because we were seated close to them-music was a great mix of 60’s to 2018 and had a nice sound. Staff was excellent.
The restaurant was quiet and food was excellent. Our server gave great suggestions and was very accommodating.
Expensive for what it is, the food was mediocre at best and not worth your time in such a great food town. It felt like the kitchen just didn't care about what they were sending out. Disappointing to say the least.
We went for breakfast but missed it, so had lunch. The food was excellent.
Mason's is a great location for a business meal. It's conveniently located near Vanderbilt University and is within easy walking distance. The atmosphere is perfect for serious conversation and the food is excellent. Service is consistent and efficient where you receive everything you need without interruption to your discussion.
Best passport restaurant to date. Service was exceptional with Manager checking our table and knowledgeable and friendly waiter. We attend nearby sporting events and will return. Loved the oyster appetizer.
The food was excellent. But it stops there. The ambience is non-existent, the service average and the portions quite small for the price.
Have wanted to go to Mason for awhile based on other reviews from friends. Disappointed in the experience. We went for sunday brunch. The restaurant was nearly empty. Good things were reservation was ready on time. Food was fair at best.
My spouse had pancakes which she enjoyed. The sorghum butter was a hit. My Tennessee Benedicct was warm heading to cold. Pork belly which is one reason. I ordered the dish was bland. Seasonal fruit was fresh, but mostly honey dew melon.
Our server seemed to want to rush us. Not expected or appreciated. Other staff was very good. I guess based on others comments expected more than a hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, that is all it was. Nothing special or memorable.
Originally was going to sit in the restaurant but it was completely empty on a Friday night and we didn’t see the host so we walked to the bar instead. At the bar we had nice drinks and great food.
Our entrees were underwhelming. The chicken was dry and bland as was the salmon. Our chocolate dessert was , however, delicious. Our server was friendly and helpful and did a good job. We liked the quiet elegance. It was a nice place to talk and catch up.
This is one of my 'go-to' business breakfast locations in Nashville. Parking is provided (with validation), excellent and attentive service, quiet enough to discuss business but still with an air of hospitality, and the food was wonderful. Something else I like about Masons at Loews Vanderbilt that I appreciate: the restaurant staff (service and hostess) always thank us for being at their restaurant. Thank you!
Food very good but they need to turn down the ac..felt like I was sitting in a meat locker.
Thank you!!
We met for breakfast. Sausage was delicious, but the biscuits were cold and tasteless.
The Service was outstanding
We went for Easter Brunch , but for the food we received was overpriced ; Green Salads, Cold Meat, Desserts, Omelettes, and some burn meat :( . Not good experience !! The good part was the waiter.
I absolutely enjoyed this venue and the menu! I would recommend this restaurant for an evening out on the town. A MUST!
It’s a hotel bar. Not a upscale restaurant. Thanks yelp
Went for NYE and it was wonderful our waiter was awesome and helped us choose the best dishes and drinks. Definitely recommend the brussels!
Food was well prepared with thoughtful touches. Unfortunately, both our soup course and main course arrived lukewarm. It would have been so much better if both courses would have been served really hot. The desserts were wonderful. Very well prepared and just the right size. The meal was fairly expensive for the food we had, but we enjoyed the company of our good friends.
Brunch on Christmas Eve was delicious. Cheesy grits are off the chain We had the place to ourselves with only one other family. Very quiet. Great to free valet.
The menu was rather limited. I didn't mind the Meat & 3 option but I didn't feel there was much choice or variety. The Pumpkin Soup and Fig Old Fashioned were amazing. The pork shoulder, creamed corn and sautéed mushrooms were good, but didn't blow my socks off. Didn't have dessert but the coffee was horribly burnt and not even consumable. The server, Derek, was amazing and made some great recommendations specifically about the soup and cocktail choices.
Food was great. Nice selection of wines. Two people had the shrimp and grits and said it was the best they had ever had. I had the hot fish was quite good and not too too spicy. I have two issues with the restaurant though. First, very hard to find appetizers to split. Our waiter suggested the cobb salad which we split only we then had to ask for serving spoons for it. It was quite good but not really a great appetizer to share for 4 people. Put some descriptions on the food. We had to ask what airline chicken was and what hot fish was. There were descriptions on the appetizers but not on the meals. Also, a couple found it confusing as to what was actually on the menu. As I said though, food was great and will definitely go back.
Convenient location and very good seafood. Not crazy crowded like many of the downtown restaurants.
