We chose the restaurant for our 25th anniversary mostly because we had a gift card that we had purchased at an auction. All of the food was excellent, from salad to entree. The service was very good, although our waiter seemed as though he may have been slightly new. I had the pan roasted chicken, and my husband had the herb crusted halibut. Both were very good. I will definitely return!
We had a wonderful time at dinner. Food was excellent and the entire staff, including Blake, was superb. I will be returning next time I’m in town.
My wife and I brought my son (who is studying at Marquette) here for dinner last Saturday. All I can say was that the food was delicious and the service exceptional. We were seated at the chefs bar. The entire kitchen was attentive to our needs. This will become a regular stop each time I visit Milwaukee.
Filet was wonderful. Our only problem was TOO much food. We ordered the small filet, the wedge salad, mashed potatoes and onion rings. We thought we could just split everything and have a fine meal. Well, we had a fine meal the next night as well! They did not mention on their menu that the sides were for at least 2 people. OK if you are just going home, but if you are staying in the hotel, less is more!
Great music and great food
The Mason Street Grill was worth the drive from the Chicago area. The appetizers and main course that my wife and I ate were excellent. The service was cordial and attentive by both our waiter and his manager.
Really good food, cocktails and wine as well as the attentive service to match that you would expect from a higher end restaurant.
Just had salads for lunch, but they were on the small side for entrees. Flavors were ok, but a bit bland and nothing special. Service was good. I’ve experienced better here, so hoping this isn’t a new trend.
We have 4 people in our group and everyone reported their meal was prepared as requested and was excellent! Even though we were full we decided to split the bourbon cake and it was also awesome! Excellent all the way around!
Great place. Excellent food. Thank you won’t be sorry of you dine here
Our server Micheal made our first visit to mason street grill memorable he was kind, on top of things. Food was outstanding and came to our table hot. When he found out we were there celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary he brought to our table chocolates mousse and on the plate written in chocolate was Happy anniversary. We will definitely be back. Thank mason street grill for a wonderful experience.
Always the best. The food never fails, and the staff is terrific. Thank you so much!
It was great. Our server, Grady, was very upbeat and on top of everything. Everything was awesome!
Well another successful outing with John and Hutch! Loved the salmon entree and steamed spinach. John was “true to form” and attentive to our needs. Great conversation and enjoyed Hutch swinging by to say hello and check in. This is a great friendship and goes beyond dinner. These two guys help build your franchise every day!!
This was a beautiful restaurant to take our father out for Father's Day! Our server was really nice, and had a great personality! The food was flavorful, and colorful.
The only complaint I have, was there wasn't any vegan options on the menu. I only was able to eat 2 salads, (that I had to modify) and that was my dinner. Very disappointed, considering Milwaukee usually offers quite a bit of vegan options on menus. All the soups were made with a chicken stock, and the lettuce was wilted in my first salad. Maybe offer more nutrient friendly and greener veggies, like spinach, kale, or arugala. I spent over $300 (not including tip) so I could have a minimal meal. Please work on this, I would love to come back if you got more creative!
The steak au poivre is reason alone to come to Mason Street Grill! The surprise this visit was the lobster gazpacho with a very generous serving of lobster in the center of the delicious soup. My husband would have ordered the gazpacho had the served advised of the non-lobster alternative (with avocado), so he was disappointed to learn too late about that option. The trilogy of side dishes also made the meal exceptional - we selected the garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and special pea pod choice.
New York strip was average, not as tender as I hoped. Asparagus didn’t have much taste and was too crunchy. Wife’s salad didn’t have enough dressing. Price of food and wine too high.
Convenient to downtown Milwaukee, Mason Street Grill provides a wide range of options for both lunch and dinner. Excellent salads, good entries, and good service. Price is fair for the value delivered. Noice is moderate, tables fairly close together, but that noise provides privacy for conversations. Like all things done by the Pfister, Mason Street provide the quality offerings for a restaurant hosted by the hotel.
Went to get a nice meal before going out, but the prices were just too high. We ended up getting some drinks and appetizers, but for the amount we paid I didn't think it was that great.
Amazing food, romantic atmosphere, fantastic service!!! And after dinner head up to the bar, you won't be sorry
A real gem! Food is excellent, service above exceptional, never disappointed. I have eaten at
Mason Street Grill a number of times. Top notch, 5 star in every category
Food was exceptional and the service was outstanding - very attentive but not at all intrusive. Bustling ambiance - really an enjoyable experience.
Fantastic food and service.
Went to Mason Street Grille for Downtown Dining week; was not disappointed. They did not skimp on portions, service or hospitality despite being extremely busy. Will definitely go again.
Attended Mason Street Grill for Milwaukee Downtown Dining week dinner. The available options were good and a reasonable bottle of wine capped the evening. Service was exceptional and dinner was good. Having been here before we were accustomed to a fine experience and weren't disappointed.
Went for Downtown Dining Week and got fantastic value. For a lunch, the service was too slow and the server was much less attentive once he found out we were ordering from the special menu. The food and ambiance were excellent, I will definitely be returning.
Visited during during downtown dining week. Great food, great service. nothing to complaint about. the 6 of us walked out stuffed and happy.
Great downtown dining week choice. Great food choices and service. Good location for. downtown activities.
We went as part of Downtown Dining week. My wife had the steak while I had the Maui. Both were excellent. Desserts were very good. We did not feel rushed and service was very good. They have a nice wine list with a variety of wines by the glass.
Excellent dining experience. Food was very good and their cocktails are outstanding.
Stopped by for downtown dining. Jazz group was great! Meals were perfect, chopped salad, crab cake, steak, carrot cake, chocolate cake but our waiter was the best part! Very engaging and multi-lingual.
Food was good an steak cooked perfectly.
Tried this restaraunt during Downtown Dining. Everything was delicious, especially the cheesy bread crisp served in the bread basket. Steak was perfect.
As always, a fantastic stop for dinner. The new preparation of the seared scallops was on point!
Decided to try Mason Street Grill for Downtown Dining Week. Made reservations for lunch. We were greeted warmly and had a short wait but we were early. Our waiter was great! Very knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. The menu had many items available
including a vegetarian option. We will dine here again.
The food and service were outstanding. We never felt rushed and our waiter Richard was awesome.
Mushroom bisque, chopped salad appetizer and carrot cake were very good. However the items were overpriced.
Mason Street Grill prides itself on great customer service, and it pays off. We enjoyed lunch and were very well attended to, from refilling iced tea glasses to being visited by the manager asking about our meals. The food is delicious and portions very generous. All in all, a great experience!
