We had another wonderful dinner at the Mason Street Grill. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. I think that this continues to be my favorite restaurant in Milwaukee, or anywhere else.
The Mason Street Grill is an awesome dining experience. This evening, like every other dining experience over the years at the Mason Street Grill was highly enjoyable. All three of us enjoyed our entree's as well as the hand crafted cocktails and the great wine list. The service was spot on! The only downer is the limited space at the bar due to Covid concerns.
My experience was wonderful. The place was "hopping", full of patrons and all following safety protocols making everyone feeling comfortable. Greeted by the very personable hostess, taken to the table and immediately served by Grady. He is incredibly personable, attentive customer oriented. Food was piping hot and delicious. Each had Mason Street signature steaks and were perfectly prepared and paired with a great Napa cabernet. It was a great night and the entire staff is fully committed and relentless to ensuring a great experience. Have to give credit to Hutch - General Manager for his dedication to keeping Mason Street performing at levels of excellence.
Great night out!!
Great food. Great service.
This was the best pasta I have ever had in my life. My husband had the short ribs and those were also amazing. Everything was incredibly clean and Covid precautions were amazing. We had an incredible evening!
I went there for a birthday dinner. The food was great. The service was great. I enjoyed that they waited for us to finish our salad before bringing out the next round of food. Everyone worked to keep the table cleared of plates.
I had the Ribeye. It was the best steak I ever had. I mentioned we were going there for our 10 year Anniversary in our reservations and we were wished a happy anniversary by our waitress and a manager. Wait staff was personable and attentive. Will be back.
First time I’m Milwaukee and I chose this restaurant looking for a great steak and an overall great meal. I was NOT disappointed. The signature chopped salad with their mustard vinaigrette was excellent! Then came the NY strip which was cooked wonderfully and seasoned to perfection. Finally the chefs carrot cake which as I was told was his mother’s recipe was delicious. The service by my waiter and his assistant was very attentive and accommodating. I would definitely return as well as highly recommend the Mason Street Grill.
Overall disappointed in our dining experience. Everything very expensive for what you get. Special fish of the day was overly salty but still flavorless. Restaurant was busy but not overly crowded but our wait between courses was long and waiter did not come over to let us know or if we needed anything else. They were notified that it was a special birthday celebration when reservations were made but they really made no effort to acknowledge. I know with COVID much has changed and they did seem to take seriously the required restrictions, i.e. distance of tables, but overall they did not seem to want to make our experience inviting or special in any way. We were visiting Milwaukee from Chicago and have many wonderful Steak restaurants here that do a much better job of making you feel welcome.
Outstanding all around. Party of 3 and all entrees were delicious. Great value for price.
Great place to eat, the ribeye was delicious. I definitely recommend.
My favorite restaurant in Milwaukee!
First stay at the Pfister Hotel and decided to get our first meal at the Mason St. Grill. Very friendly greeting, quick seating, and very nice wait staff. Enjoyed the meal. Excellent steak cooked exactly as I like it! Will definitely eat here again.
Was a little noisy, but I guess that's to be expected. And a tad bit pricey. But the service and food was worth it.
Food and service was impeccable as always. Nice to see the restaurant busy with diners.
Hadn't been inside to eat at any restaurant since March 14, 2020. This was our first foray with friends. It was impressive from the get go with waiters wearing masks, advising they had been vaccinated, partitions, etc. so felt very safe. The food as per pre-pandemic visits was fantastic as was the service (thank you Richard et al). It's a bit pricey but given the times we live in and the need for high quality restaurants to survive to make life more enjoyable, worth every penny!
Great food, great service
Remember the steak being much better and having peppercorn sauce remain warm throughout dinner.
It’s been over ONE year since we dined inside a restaurant. As everyone was fully vaccinated, everyone felt comfortable going inside. It’s been too long since we enjoyed Mason Street. Safety protocols, ambience, food, wine and service were amazing! Bone in rib-eye with a bottle of Jordan Cabernet is wonderful. Grady was our server and was attentive as usual not missing a beat and impressing my guests. It was great to see Hutch back at the location making the place hum! Love the experience “every time” and see ya’ll soon.
It was my first time there and it was an okay experience. I will try their steak next time. I had the ribs.
Shawna was great. Sitting by kitchen can be distracting.
I chose this restaurant to treat another couple for dinner. It had received solid reviews and I thought I couldn't go wrong. The service was inattentive to lax. The food was good, but had some issues. An example, we ordered 2 apps (grilled octopus and seared tuna) for 4 people. Neither was finished completely despite arriving at the table over an hour after we did...Octopus was OK, but had come back to room temp by delivery. Tuna was good, but one slice remained... Entrees were OK. I ordered the Halibut ($50) and expected a substantial slice at that price (at least 10 oz). What arrived was from the thinnest part of the fish and was roughly the size of a 3x5" index card that I'm certain weighed less than 3 oz. before the herb crust was added. My wife was served 3 or 4 med sized scallops which were undercooked to the point of sticky translucence in the middle ($40). Our guests ordered pasta ($22 "pretty bland") and bone in rineye ($64 - "very good"). Sides were all OK. Cocktails were weak, focus was on filling a glass rather than artful mixology. Final insult...I paid for up to 3 hours parking across the street and my card was charged $15 + $70 because it took so long to get dinner that we weren't out until 3:40 time. All in we paid close to $650 including parking, tip and tax for a night out for 4 folks (and only 7 total drinks). Super disappointed and a little embarassed to have recommended the place to associates I was hoping to impress.
The food was incredible, everything tasted amazing, the service was fantastic as well. Would return 10 out of 10.
They first sat us at a table near the open space kitchen, many would be fine with this ambiance but we didn’t particularly enjoy the clinging of the plates and the staff singing. They accommodated us to move to a quieter table. The rib eye was excellent and the ribs were perfect. The service was excellent as well. Old fashioned was tad off but the Manhattan was spot on and if made properly they charge $2 for a large ice cube.
The meal was average. A $200 bill with tip for an average night dinning won't get me back. The halibut was great, the short ribs average salad was very good, onion soup average, way to salty and the Brussel sprouts bad.
Service was great and fast, super friendly environment and food was delicious 9.5/10
Petite filet, roasted Brussels spouts and delmonico potatoes were the best I've ever had. Honestly I will order the exact same thing next time! Our server was fabulous and also very knowledgeable about the entire hotel
We had a great business dinner for 5 in one of the large booths. Food, service and wine list all very good.
Great cocktails and the price was reasonable for the quality of food. Will definitely go back.
My wife and I enjoyed a "date night" on Saturday and enjoyed a WONDERFUL dinner!
Great customer service and food was delicious!
Our waiter was fantastic! The food was delicious! We will be back!
Good food and drinks is always expected at any establishment. It's the service that sets them apart. Graham was amazing. We were celebrating a birthday and anniversary. He did everything to help feels welcome and even explained some new dishes for us which we fully enjoyed. We will be back!
Never disappoints. Will be back ..................
Good food, great atmosphere and wonderful service.
Went out for my birthday with my dad. Food was very good and service was awesome. Will definitely return!
Was celebrating my birthday and it was such an awesome experience. We wanted a low key “get away” without the hassles of what to do, where to eat..so we chose to make accommodations at the Pfister and have a nice dinner, spa day and stay over. This exceeded our expectations! Dinner was very nice and waitstaff were delightful. Thank you for such a pleasant evening!
