We were looking for a light meal before the ballet. Lots of good combinations on the menu, so we could put together a tasty but not overwhelming meal. Service good, space a little cramped -- but heh, this is the city! Got out in good time.

Everything was over-sauced and over-dressed. I ask the waiter for a recommendation and he couldn’t give me one. I gave him a choice of a couple of things and he was unenthusiastic about both. Now I know why. None of the four dishes we had were tasty.

Great service and good food with large portions. We came for dinner before going to the opera and service was friendly and quick without being rushed. Food is very heavy on garlic (especially the salad dressing), so bring some after-dinner mints.

Mashawi always satisfies. I've been through the menu at least a dozen times and have my favorites. So I rotate among them and enjoy every meal. Excellent for a pre-perfomance meal, as long as you get there by 5:30 and have a reservation. Staff does a perfect job of getting you served and finished, without rushing you in time to make the beginning of a performance.

The restaurant is small which makes the noise level a little high on a crowded night, but that doesn't detract from the food or the great service. Flavors were excellent And the portions extremely generous. Everything was wonderful.

One of the best baba ghanouj's I've ever tasted! Very strong, bold smoky flavor (I loved it!) Excellent cauliflower appetizer dish as well. Great location for shared tapas if you're interested in a lighter meal as well as full menu for bigger appetites. Great, friendly server.

The seafood cous cous and the spankopitas wer amazing. The falafel really good. The hummus was a little but too spicy. The attention and the ambience really good. Would definitely recommend.

Love their Kakta Kabob with rice pilaf. Dinner comes with soup or salad. Price is a good value. We go before the opera and they always feed us and get us out in plenty of time. Delicious!

Having driven by this restaurant for years while going to events at Seattle Center, I finally took the plunge and decided to dine at one of them. I met friends there, and it was a good choice. Fine food, nice waiter and cozy ambience.

Nice spot for a pre-theater early dinner. We had Dajaj Mashawi. The house garlic sauce is very garlicky but very good. The chicken was perfectly cooked.

I always enjoy Mashawi because the service is excellent, the food well-prepared and promptly served. Staff always accommodates for performance curtains, especially is you have a 5:30 reservation before your evening performance.

I like Mashawi for the varied menu, good service and proximity to the theaters on Mercer Street. Staff always gets us out in plenty of time for a 7:30 performance, with a reservation made at 5:30. So many good choices on the menu: North African Chicken, Northwest Salmon, Hummus and ground beef. Don't eat ALL THE RICE; it's too filling.
